The play Love Untitled was about two people who want to ask the same girl out but in the end the one who gets the girl is the least expected. This love triangle consists of Jordan, Jamie, and Ski but it’s not as typical as though out to be because the plot twist is that Jordan and Jamie both like Ski. In the beginning, Ski and Jamie weren't official but were spot holding hands by Jordan but since Ski was afraid of the rejection and backlash they never were official. Afterword Ski dated Jordan for two days but then broke up with him and went back with Jamie, but due to his jealousy threatened to expose them during prom. But to Jamie and Ski’s surprise there's a lot of support when their relationship was unraveled to the whole school during prom.

Throughout William Shakespeare’s play, Romeo and Juliet, two teenagers fall in love. In the end, they kill themselves over one another. Between these two teenagers, only physical attraction was present. The “star-crossed” lovers faced many trials, and ultimately lost. The lack of Amor doomed Romeo and Juliet’s relationship.
The play Wicked, written by American lyricist Stephen Schwartz, was a play that demonstrated several conflicts that a person went through during their lifetime. Elphaba, the protagonist, was born with green skin because of a choice that her mother made. She had to deal with the fear and the looks that people gave her because of her appearance. Elphaba dealt with the mockery of others during her years in school. When reading the play, one could compare Elphaba’s circumstances to discrimination or racism towards African Americans in the nineteen sixties. In college, she discovered that she had magical powers that she could use for good. The people in the town of Oz stereotyped her and assumed she was a witch who wanted to harm everyone because of her
“Sometimes you will never know the true value of a moment until it becomes a memory.” Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie was born september 15, 1977 in Enugu, Nigeria. Well, I think it’s really like playing. Really very similar to how a kid plays, somehow. You’ve got so many toys around. Carol Dunham was in the studio a couple days ago, looking at this painting, and he said, “You know, it’s like you are in your playroom, and you are just picking up these different shapes and throwing them on the wall and then putting them together and seeing what kind of a game you can make out of them.” I think that’s pretty explanatory of what it feels like to make them—and very close to the kind of feeling that I want to get out of them and I think I want you to get out of them,
West Side Story is about a conflict between two rival gangs, the Jets and the Sharks, which comes to a head when Tony, a former Jets member, and Maria, the sister of the leader of the Sharks, fall in love. Although the play centers around Tony and Maria, the character of Anita (played by Karli Dinardo) caught my eye since she revealed her purple dress which was different from the reds of the Sharks and blues of the Jets and I found myself drawn to her in each scene she was present in. I also found myself drawn to members of the Sharks as I understood the racism they faced from members of the Jets, Officer Krupke, and Detective Schrank. The characters of Tony and Maria were actually the characters I didn’t really like as I saw them both as selfish.

The original Little Shop of Horrors Book and lyrics was written by Howard Shaman and Music composed by Alan Menken. The horror comedy musical was based on a movie directed by Roger Corman. However, the student of St. Petersburg College Theater and director/ set design was by Scott Cooper. Scott Cooper and his crew did a good job transforming the stage to a downtown set call Skid Row. Therefore, the set had some social and cultural context as the homeless and young student was hanging out on the steps of buildings. This was an indication of the play writer using Comedy of Manners and Comedy of Character when the owner of the flower shop Urchins was chasing them from in front his store. The playwright was ridiculing individuals of this types and their social behaviors.
For my Point of view of the early civil rights movement i’ve chosen Mama from A Raisin in the Sun. During the play Mama talks about how she and her husband spent their time striving for freedom while her children seemed to care more about money. She talks about how they spent their time trying to escape the south. So I don't think she would be surprised at this but she would probably be faced with memories of the trauma she had to deal with and be especially fearful when thinking about her own family especially since the boy was from Chicago where she lives at the time. Though i do think she would still be devastated nonetheless by the image of Tillerson’s face.
On October 19th, 2017, I had the honor to attend the Indiana State University production of A Piece of My Heart. This play could be considered a historical documentary and was full of drama, thrill, and action. A Piece of My Heart was originally written by Shirley Lauro, a very popular play writer with many other well-known plays. The play was based around 6 extremely strong and opinionated women who were sent to the Vietnam War to either help or entertain the American Men. Consisting of 5 army nurses, one country singer, and multiple different army men the production was able to provide a full understanding of how life was in Vietnam during the war. This play was performed by Indiana State University students.
“Naked Lunch” is a play written by Michael Hollinger that talks about a couple that has been drifting apart. Vernon tried to change his relationship with Lucy, and invite her to eat steak with him. As the play starts, Vernon sees that Lucy isn't eating; rather playing with the food. Vernon confronts her and she admits that she became a vegetarian after they have broken up. But, it was something she had been thinking about and wanted to do, even when she was in the relationship with Vernon. Throughout the play, Vernon thinks he was the reason why she became a vegetarian and tries to get Lucy to eat the meat. He starts making her feel like a joke for trying to fulfill the life she wants to live. Towards the end of the play, when
The center I chose to observe was the dramatic play center which is a kitchen. I chose this center because because it's a great way to observe children. The purpose of the dramatic play center is to help develop social, emotional and oral language skills. It gives children a chance to assign roles, self regulate when having to take turns and during all of this children are developing language skills.
The Setting of “Sure Thing” by David Ivis is important in terms of setting the mood as well as the context for the play’s main conflict. “Sure Thing” is set in a café where the the two main characters, Bill and Betty, awkwardly encounter one another. During their encounter, a ring of a bell continues to disrupt their connection. Despite the ringing bell, or because of the ringing bell, the two characters are able to establish a connection. The fact that they are ultimately able to establish a connection suggests many thing about relationships, such as that timing can play a major role in either beginning or not beginning a relationship. For instance, the bell (and the bell’s timing) suggests that
