What exactly is love? Well, love is not Romeo and Juliet nor The Titanic nor any romantic movie that you have ever watched. For many years people have painted love in a tragic way when it is not, it is more like infatuation. Love and infatuation have been around for as long as humans have been on this earth since the beginning of times. There are many different types of love, of course, the love you feel for your family, love you feel for your friends and love you feel for your boyfriend/girlfriend. That passion you feel as you see a person you barely know is not love, not when you have not seen this person at his/her worst. "Infatuation as we are defining is a static process characterized by an unrealistic expectation of blissful passion without positive growth and development" (Michelle Drew, 2016) Furthermore, infatuation and love also give us different types of symptoms. That said, (when you feel love, the feelings are positive). You feel secure, happy and confident of not just for your person, but also for yourself, which is very important in a relationship. The key to most relationships is to love yourself first before loving anyone. It can be a long process of doing so, but experiences can teach you this. Therefore, you cannot have a person tell you that they love you when they do not make you feel good about yourself nor you can say to a person you love them when they make you feel unimportant. Also, when you are in love both sides are willing to make sacrifices for one another, and both sides are okay with it. When you are in a relationship, you can come to agreements for whatever is right for each other.
