Loyola Marymount University has been on my list of colleges ever since I stepped foot onto the campus in 2009. Five years later and my admiration of the school has still not reduced. Personally, I believe that without education, a person doesn't have the ability to become prosperous; education is the key to success. Considering this, a person also has to love what they’re doing every day or else they will never be happy. The combination of all these factors leads a person to live their life to the fullest with prosperity, wealth and pleasure. All of these key components are evident in LMU, thus the reason why I am so passionate about attending the campus and adopting the lifestyle of a lion. In addition to the beautiful campus that allows one to imagine they are on a resort instead of a school as well as the intimate student to faculty ratio that gives students the direct attention they need, LMU has a fantastic undergraduate business program that excites me and will prepare me for my future as a possible entrepreneur or lawyer. …show more content…
Additionally, from the club sports available to athletes, the various clubs and tutoring programs open to all students, and the ability to participate in the ASLMU and leave my imprint on the Tower Yearbook as a former editor in chief of my old award-winning yearbook, LMU encourages opportunities to help students succeed. The possibility to be creative and thrive in a small and personal academic setting excites me, knowing that I am getting the best education possible while at the same time enjoy my college

Miami Dade College is a family of change makers and enthusiasts who always aim for greatness. Miami Dade has been the catalyst in my synthesis as a competitive student who refuses to stand still and watch innovation from a distance. This school has taught me to embrace change and adapt to quickly changing situations, since that is what constitutes life. My life has been a chain of events that lead to bigger events, and my stay in the college has been the biggest event that culminated in the fusion of a hardworking, perseverant, competitive, indebted young person with the right tools to flourish. I’m successful because
I have spent the past four years developing my skills and knowledge to prepare me for medical school and eventually becoming a physician. Through these years, my dedication and maturity have shown to be at the level required to be successful in medical school. I am extremely passionate about practicing medicine and working along side of many other confident healthcare professionals. I believe strongly in Osteopathic manipulative medicine and the whole body approach. I am certain that Marian University will provide me with an excellent education in this philosophy, which I will utilize to begin and build a career practicing Osteopathic medicine. Marian University's location in the large city of Indianapolis will provide an environment to practice
Loma Linda University stands out for many reasons. First of all, the faith that is embodied within the university community is very appealing. Connecting people who prioritize faith in their daily lives results in establishing a healthy network of individuals who value one another and work closely together. This not only allows students to be great team players and helps residents support each other, but also aids me to incorporate my faith in becoming a successful orthodontist in the future. Loma Linda also provides an opportunity to continue serving the community by participating in mission trips and community outreach programs. From a very young age, my family has harvested the need of using my talents to serve others. This has led me to
I would love to be a part of Central Michigan's athletic training program. I have a deep love and passion for sports. After High School I would still want to be in the sports field and I also like caring for people which would make Athletic training the field for me. I am currently a captain on my basketball and track team. I make others around me better and take on the role of being a leader. My goal is to graduate and get my degree. After that I envision myself being a strength and conditioning coach or an athletic trainer. I want to be a good athletic trainer at a college or pro level.
As a pre-med hopeful, my criteria for colleges has been the following: the college must have a strong biology program, particularly in genetics, as I plan to major in biology with a concentration in genetics and biotechnology. My ideal college must have a plethora of research opportunities, and it must be affordable for my family. Middle Tennessee State University has met and exceeded all my standards. After applying to colleges with steep tuitions, I realized that I needed to choose a university that would allow me to graduate with little to no debt. My mother had taken courses at MTSU, so I searched the college online and discovered its exceptional biology program. No other Tennessee state school I had researched before had as many in-depth classes as MTSU has.
Coming from a small town on the east coast, I would have never expected to fall in love with such a large and diverse college like the University of Michigan. The upbeat atmosphere of Ann Arbor alone was enticing enough before I even saw the actual campus. Upon visiting, I quickly realized the University of Michigan was a place I would not mind spending my next couple of years. From the countless students all around to the wide variety of shops in town, Ann Arbor seemed like a lively and exciting place to spend my college experience. While walking through the campus, I was continuously amazed by the large intricate buildings surrounding me. Some of my favorites included the Law Library, the College of LSA and the Michigan Union. While I do not plan on attending it, the Ross School of Business was also an incredible
I am a senior at Ontario High School and am expecting to graduate this May. I was born in Querendaro, Mexico and then moved to Ontario, Oregon. While in high school I have already obtained a few college credits at a reduced price, but even though I obtained them at a reduced price it was still challenging to pay for them. In my house, there is my two parents, my two sisters and myself, all living with one parent household income and some help. I also had the advantage to complete the Certified Nursing Program as a high school student through the Allied Health. Since I got the opportunity to obtain these college credits and complete the CNA program while in high school, I took the fullest advantage.
After years of hard work in high school, I have prepared myself for the final milestones in achieving adulthood. The key to any great success is extreme preparation, be it in athletics, academics, or personal growth. Duquesne University is an obvious choice for me, as it not only has the vast resources to achieve educational success but also has the academic programs which interest me. Duquesne University will also align me with the core values that any young adult would want to pursue and ultimately achieve. Duquesne University’s values and beliefs are built on Catholic principles, which guide me to consider, my body, mind, and soul.
It was dark and there were so many noises around me as I slowly woke up and recalled I was in a hospital with abdominal pain. I then heard a familiar voice say “Sweetie, wake up! Wake up!” I opened my eyes to a blurry image of my mother. “Shhh… don't make any noises. We're leaving now. Just act like you are fine. We'll try to sneak out before anyone notices”, my mother said. She explained later that she could not afford to pay hospital bills, so we had to leave before any physician checked over. Living in Vietnam, I was filled with resentment towards their healthcare system, as people were rejected treatment and left to perish in the streets. As a child, I therefore never considered medicine as a career. My spark for medicine was unforeseen until I went on a high school field trip at INOVA Fairfax Hospital in Virginia. Hovering over the glass ceiling of the operating theater, I watched doctors performing coronary bypass surgery while witnessing the heart beat stronger and stronger. At this magical moment, I was overwhelmed by the power of medicine to save people’s lives.
Personal Statement Religion, whether perceived as some kind of deep, emotional experience, a social institution, or the divine grace bestowed by gods or goddesses, nevertheless, functions as the heartbeat of any given society. This societal foundation, which definitely manifests itself in Egypt, an original cradle of civilization, must be studied, observed, and encountered in every way possible in order to balance and comprehend all of the dynamic expressions of humanity. As a Religious Studies major, whose future goal is to become and Islamic Studies professor, this internship at the American University in Cairo is the best opportunity I could ever hope to acquire. Nowhere else will I have the chance to live abroad at such a respected institution,
I work part time at a nationally recognized health club where I have the opportunity to not only interact with members everyday but also participate in my own well being by working out on a regular basis. These activities have given me confidence that I am able to lead a workforce and complete a job efficiently and effectively. The passion that I have for marketing and management in the sports arena are enhanced by the program you offer. I fell in love with business while having the opportunity to take an honors finance class my junior year in high school. I received the Achievement Award in Honors Finance which influenced my decision to pursue an undergraduate degree in marketing. Because of my success in high school, I feel prepared for college level business classes. This combination of learning about the highs and lows of business and learning about the sports and fitness industry is what this major is all about; it is what I am all about and has me as a driven, passionate student so excited to be pursing my next journey in life at West Chester
I aspire to attend the Clark Atlanta University because it is a symbol for past and future generations of educational and operational excellence. Clark Atlanta University is the hub of African American leadership and educational expansion, and with the constant policing of the community and poaching of black culture in today’s society, it is significant that I achieve an education that represents myself and the world with which I am familiar and intend to change for the better.
Being in an environment where I felt like I stood alone really changed the way I looked at myself and had a big impact on my education. MSU has already proved to me that they will do nothing but accept me with open arms, and stand beside me to help show what I am truly capable of. A second factor would be all of the different relationships I will build. As it is important to meet other students and build those relationships personally, I also believe that a healthy relationship with my advisor, and all of my professors will make me feel much more comfortable and help to push myself to do my very best. Finally, hope to experience all of the long term affects MSU will bring to my life, even after college. I want to look back and see how far I came, be proud of where I stand and I would love to have Morehead State be one of most important reasons why.
Out of all of the skin care products in the world, your bathroom cabinet needs to be filled with products researched and designed by me. When I entered high school, I discovered my passion for selecting lip sticks, lip glosses, lotions, perfumes, and makeup foundations. You name it. After learning about the connections between the information in my chemistry class and these items, a light bulb went off! I maintained an A average in chemistry throughout the whole year! Additionally, in 2014, I became a student in the Academy of Engineering and Technology, which also heightened my interests in chemistry. In a science fair at that academy, there was a chemistry course where we made colorful slime, and during that process, I learned that I get an adrenaline rush when I am mixing different chemicals together to see what the outcome is. Majoring in chemistry at Norfolk State University will definitely prepare me for a very successful future in chemistry! My ultimate goal is to conduct research and development for chemical cosmetics. I plan to obtain employment at the greatest companies in the world such as L'Oréal and Avon.
