Like many hellhounds at the time Lucia was not born out of love but more out of obligation along side a single litter mate, another female pup that was much smaller and constantly sick in comparison to Lucia. Her sire and bitch were the acting alphas of the largest and oldest pack on the planet, their lineage going back to the first hellhounds to emerge on the planet. The two were very well known in the supernatural world and were both respected and feared because of the sheer size and strength of their pack. They moved constantly never staying in one place longer than a few weeks, leaving a path of death and destruction in their wake. The pack would devastate large cities and even wipe out small villages in a single night while moving through …show more content…
The alliance of other packs. All the days she should have been out hunting and making a name for herself she spent making alliances with rival packs in the areas that they visited, their packs were small and weak but get enough of them together and they could do great things. In essence she formed her own pack behind her fathers back with their only purpose being taking him down and stealing his position. The day would come when she would put everything into motion, challenging her father who accepted knowing that his over confident daughter would never be able to beat him. They moved to the woods away from the majority of the pack and the battle was on and lasted longer than expected, she put her all into it her body suffering in the process as his teeth sank into her flesh scorching her fur and the delicate skin underneath. She stayed strong never backing down as he advanced on her. Despite the difference in their powers she even managed to hurt him to the point that he was backing off from her advances instead of taking her head on like he had been. When she felt it was time she let out a chilling howl and with that her own forces would move in surrounding the king and his daughter. She offered him the same speech that he had given Ava about being cast out from the pack before stepping away and letting her new friends finish him
She has a very rebellious personality and/or character trait(s). Eventually, the pack starts to distance themselves from her because she can not change and is very
Ela ran in front of the family and planted her sturdy body like a mountain between the hunters and the babies standing in a position of charge. With her ears backward, her long trunk swinging from side to side she aggressively trumpeted. Her small amber eyes filled with undaunted resolution. But the hunters weren't afraid of Ela, they rose their rifles ready to shoot her!
A lithe form slinked through the pristine snow, her paws going numb from the constant unbridling unsuccessful search of prey. Being an experienced hunter now, PigeonEye knew that this was no small dilemma, but an ominous sign. She and a hunting party of three warriors had been sent out to hunt hours ago, and yet still, the terrain seemed barren, devoid of a stable amount of prey to feed their clan. The she-cat shivered and paused for a moment to survey they area, her fellow clan-mates halted and watched her with weary appearances, each thin and poignant. PigeonEye ignored them, an unshattered defiance and determination to serve her clan burning within her. If they did not bring back food when they returned, why return anyway. She was willing to die for her clan, even if she would die for a cause that might be remembered as pitiful foolhardy stubbornness.
St. Lucy’s Home for Girls Raised by Wolves is a short story written by Karen Russell. The short story tells a fable about three sisters who were originally born and raised by werewolf parents and a werewolf associated community, and how they were sent to a school in order for them to become more civilized, thereby, they were considered as outcasts. The narrator of the story happens to be the second of the three sisters, Claudette. Claudette says, “They had ostracized the local wolves by having human children” (Russell 238). This quote illustrates that Claudette is implying that their parents were considered as outcasts in their own community for giving birth to children that look nothing like werewolves and look more like humans instead. The girls were sent to St. Lucy’s, because the nuns said they would teach them how to act like humans and become “Naturalized citizens of human Society” (Russell 238). The girls’ parents felt it was a good idea for the girls to learn how to behave as humans in order for them to be able to coexist in both the human community and the werewolf community. However, the short story operates as an allegory about the importance of being able to live in a society and know its expectations, as well as an allegory that emphasizes the tragedy of what is lost when one eventually gets acquainted and conforms to modern societal norms and expectations.

She was bounded by a struggle against her past and the chains that bounded her future. “Monsters cannot be announced. One cannot say: 'Here are our monsters,' without immediately turning the monsters into pets.” [2] She gave her backpack a name and immediately tamed the
The Inferno is the first section of Dante's three-part poem, The Divine Comedy. Throughout Dante's epic journey into the depths of Inferno he encounters thirty monsters and five hybrid creatures. The most significant of these monsters are of central importance to his journey and to the narrative, as they not only challenge Dante's presence in Inferno, but are custodians of Hell, keeping in order or guarding the "perduta gente". In this essay I am concentrating on these prominent beasts, namely Minos, Cerberus, Plutus and Geryon, establishing why they feature in Dante's eschatological vision and discussing the sources which influenced his inclusion of these particular creatures. These four

Most Shadow Hunters ebing let through here older than she, but Rose was strong headed and demanded that she be let to go to protect her mother. Reluctantly they let her go, Scar usedd the parabatai bond as an excuse to go with her, sometime after Rose wished she'd saved herself the begging and had just ran for it like Jace Herondale and Clary Fairchild later did. There were more Endarkened at the Citadel than the Clave had suspected, never-the-less Rose plunged herself into battle. The rush filled her vains as she let her arrows fly, then switched to her seraph blade. Then suddenly her blood ran cold and she froze where she stood. Daren stood infront of her, walking towards her with a blade gripped in his hand, his face that usually held a smile for her was now replaced with a grim determination. The kinda look he got when his prey was locked in, but this was the first time she'd ever had that look locked on her. She called to him and tried to reason with him, forgetting everything going on, forgetting that there was no reasoning with an Endarken. Rose could barely hear the sound of her parabatai screaming at her to remember, screaming warnings at her. She couldn't kill him...how could she... Daren stopped walking and coughed up blood into the white snow they stood on, it was then that she noticed the blade protruding from his chest. Scar, her parabatai had killed him. Rose gasped as she fell to her knees and sobbed. Scarlett quickly knelt beside her and forced her to regain her focus and remember what was really happening. Shutting off the pain the way she once did when she was so much younger she stood and rejoined the
Once in a life, we have been imitating a fashion and a behavior of an idol or someone. What if imitation is always occurring in everyday life to individuals? In the essay, “Strange Creatures” wrote by Susan Blackmore, she believes that whatever the way individuals act or think is claimed to be imitation. She claimed, to be imitating is what makes us different from animals or other living species. The reason for mimic is because this is privilege of being human nature. Then she gives an example of whenever someone smiles, other smiles back, but animals cannot. What animals can do is to show positive emotions like whipping a tail or actively move around. This phenomenon is called “meme”. The meme is like a copy machine or gene in Blackmore’s
