The interview process is something we have all gone through in order to get any job. It may not be our dream job but it is a job and we all have to do this process in order to even be able to start working. In Katy Piotrowski’s article “Preparing for the Job Interview: Know Thyself,” she explains everything that you need to know and not know when going to a job interview. Graduating college and having a Bachelor’s degree of Science in Nursing is what I look forward to doing in the next two years. I will be discussing myself applying for a position in the nursing department. Being the right candidate for this RN nursing position in hospice care requires a lot of hard work and dedication, and that is why I am a good candidate for this position.
I have always been the person people go to for answers. Since seventh grade I have been in honors classes; I was the only seventh grader in an eighth grade math class. I had never been so nervous walking in to class in my life. My legs were trembling and my hands were shaking. I walked around the room hoping to find a seat not in the back so I do not show my teacher I do not care; but not in the front so my classmates think I am a kiss up. I sat in between two boys, and tried to not let them see how intimidated I actually am by them.
As a little girl I was always the one who would hide behind her father’s leg. At the dinner table I would be quiet so I would never be brought into the conversation. The older I got, the more I came out of my shell. I still could never break free, though. It wasn’t until I became involved in organizations, that I was able to interact with people and take initiative.

I interviewed Ms. Askin at the elementary school in Houston County. She is a twenty seven years old fourth grade teacher and has been teaching for 4 years. She has a Master’s degree in early childhood education. She is my daughter’s aunt and we are very proud of her accomplishments as a young adult. Here is her view of her school’s Special Education Program.

With moving a lot and knowing people from all over I was going into high school not knowing a single face of anyone there except for one kind who I met at a baseball camp that summer. His name was Xavier, and him and I got to know one another pretty well. We became pretty good friends and I met a bunch of his friends and got to know them well also! That is how I learned how to be really outgoing, is to just be yourself and always try to talk to someone new and never let the conversation die because if you do, then it will just be awkward. I went up to this girl one time and tried to talk to her and be myself and got her number and we were having a great talk and I started to let the conversation die, and it was the most awkward thing in my life because we were both just sitting there not saying a word and you could almost hear a pen drop it was that quite, turned out that she liked me and I had no idea until it was too late, but now we are good
My introverted self kept from socialising with anyone who I didn’t know, and that only included about three or four people. About three days into the pre season we were assigned to our specialty coaches. I went to the defensive line coordinator and recognized no
I chose to start off this paper with this quote, because it reminded me of the two women I interviewed for my history project. Even though the women are not a part of my family, interviewing them made me see what strong women they were and how when I do get older, I would hope to be as humble and as courageous as those two beautiful women. I picked these two women to interview because knowing them for a while before the interview I seen that they were just as outspoken as my own grandmother and that’s what initially made me have to interview them. Both women were born a year apart, one in 1949 and the other in 1950, and since they were both born around the same time that means that both of them went through the same events that affected the whole black community at that
When I was five years old, all of my friends were starting Kindergarten. My mom was trying to decide if I would be too; so I told her I was going too. I think that was the beginning of being outspoken and saying what I thought. This wasn’t a big problem
Do the lunch ladies really cherish the lives of the youth. This question is brought up everyday at my lunch table. The reason why I ask this is because the food which is served is disgusting, or healthy not only is the food that is prepared gross, but even the fruit the lunch ladies give us is gross. The lunch ladies go around the lunch room and ask each table “are you guys going to eat your fruit” we say no and they grab them. They're not grabbing them to throw away they're grabbing them to recycle and give to other kids, which is disgusting. They also serve pink meat, mystery meat, cold food, and I never get full from the bull you give us. For children who get free lunch they're fine with this issue, but for the ones who pay for lunch (which
I can’t name a specific time when it became apparent to me that I was becoming more outgoing. Like I said, it was gradual. But now-a-days, I’m not so afraid to stand out. In fact, I’ve pretty much decided that fear is not an option. I won’t take fear for an answer- if that makes any sense. No fear is my mantra.
I was never a shy kid, but speaking up in class was always difficult for me. This was not because I feared judgment from my classmates; I was terrified of losing the hard-earned approval of my teachers. Adults hold a tremendous amount of power over the children in their care, and that fact was the bane of my existence for my entire elementary career. Ironically, my fear of authority would allow me to break free of it. The teacher I feared most was middle school media advisor, Mrs. Janes. She was a strict, older woman who everyone said was the meanest teacher alive. One day, as I was walking to lunch, she pulled me aside and told me I should join the speech team. I said yes out of fear, and doing so was the best decision I ever made.
I was still shy and remained quiet when I knew the answers to the teacher’s questions. After many frustrations, I had had enough. I started joining clubs and took discussion-heavy
