There were once a god, and a goddess whose names were The Sun Father, and the Moonlight-Giving Mother. The Zuni tribe of Pueblo, Western Mexico worshipped these two gods as night and day. One day the Sun Father, and Moonlight-Giving Mother came together during a solar eclipse causing the creation of a child who was named Lusio, The God of Light. Lusio was the creation of both the Sun Father, and Moonlight-Giving Mother, thus he had inherited both the powers of his parents. He had the ability to control the light of the sun during the day, and the light of the moon during the night, however; as he grew older he started to resent his parents because he did not see the need for two gods to control both when there could be one mighty and powerful god. One day he confronted them “Mother, father why must there be a Sun Father and Moonlight-Giving Mother if I can control both night and day, I should be the only god that can control light” Lusio said. “We exist because we must in order for there to be balance between night, and day” Sun Father replied”. However this did not make sense to Lusio, he thought he should the the only one to control both the light of day and night. Lusio was only still a child, however; that did not stop him from conspiring to kill his mother, and father. That very night he attempted to murder his mother in the light of …show more content…
She then cast him away into the night sky, trapping him inside of a star in the sky with nothing but darkness surrounding him. Lusio, The God of Light was stranded, and alone he sat for thirty years until he grew powerful enough to escape his bondage of light. The day he escaped there was another solar eclipse, he saw his opportunity to claim his title of the almighty god of light, night and day. The Sun Father and Moonlight-Giving Mother were together creating the perfect time to strike. He then made his way to the eclipse, confronting both his mother, and
This sentence givers light to why he named the book The Luminous Darkness because from any darkness in someone’s life, God still casts His light everywhere. It matters where we get our light from because having the wrong light source can lead to bad things, but with the right light we can create ourselves to be a better human, one who sees how God created us to be.
The religions of the Greek, Ute, and Hawaiian cultures strive to attribute Gods for the forces of the natural world around them, bridging the gap between their understanding of their world and the effect on them. For instance, the Ute Great Spirit Manitou infused life into the world, and all things in it, thus populating the world of the Ute. There were mountains, trees, deer and of course the bear to rule them all. Also, Hawaiians believe that Kumulipo the male, and Po’ele the female, born from darkness and in turn gave birth to many more Gods like Kane-i-ka-wai-ola diminishing darkness, Pohaha night coming into dawn. The Greek Goddess Eurynome laid the great egg that hatched the world with all of its creatures and plants. These myths
According to the ancient Aztec religion, it took the gods five tries to create the world. The first four attempts had failed because the gods were fighting among themselves. Each creator-god would take a turn being the sun in order for the world to function properly so that it would be habitable. The gods had a council and decided that Nanauatl, a lowly, humble god, would have to sacrifice himself to become the sun. But there was a major problem with this, he was not moving. It was then that the gods realized that they would also have to sacrifice themselves so the humans could live. The god Ehecatl sacrificed all the other gods and a strong wind arose to help move the sun. Once they fixed the sun, they recreated the world for the fifth time.
Enigonhahetgea creates the moon, which turns day to night, and Enigonhahetgea tried to create people, but instead created apes he also created many things in the world that could impede human life. Enigorio followed behind his twin to undo what he had done. This part of the story is instructional in its function by bringing to awareness traits of competition, jealousy, and power that can be seen in the behavior of the twins. It also tells how daytime and nighttime came into being and where the tribe came from. It also infers choice as both brothers were born into the dark world. One chose to create light, the other chose to remain in darkness.
The light gazed upon him as he set out on the river bank, fearful of the plague that had left his family bloody and still. He hunched over and stared at the water, and laid still. He heard the water drop, twinkling from the rain as it began to pour, and saw a light. As his emotions overcame him, he jumped forward and fell to the ground, putting his hand out as he saw things. As if the light had merged with darkness, yin and yang, and with a last breath, he let himself out. He reached closer and imagined his family, gasping at the sight of warmth.
As well as being the Titan god of the heavenly light and sun, Hyperion was also thought to be the first to understand the movement of the sun, moon, stars, and seasons (“Hyperion”). Because of these discoveries, Hyperion was the father of the sun, moon, and dawn (Waterfield 19).
Once upon a time, long ago in the Heavens, there was the Sky Kingdom. Those in the Sky Kingdom could talk, and their job was to play their role in the sky. Stella and Stelling and all the other thousands of stars would have to light of the sky as dots. The sun’s job was to shine very brightly in the sky during what he called daylight. The entire Sky Kingdom consisted of lots of celestial bodies. Billions of them in fact.

Later when Morningstar woke up from his sleep he went into Lno room. He saw Lno on his bed with a pill of blood surrounding him. Morningstar fell on to his knees and cried, his mother came in and sat right next to Morningstar and said really gently I'm sorry I well find who killed him with a smile on her face. But on that same day Morningstar was having an really bad attitude towards every body he love. The reason why Morningstar was acting this way, was because he couldn’t trust anyone no more, if people are going to die he shouldn’t not care any more. He stop talking to everyone, he killed everyone that would try to help him, he push everyone away. But someone didn’t like that his mother. She was getting tired of his attitude so she went some where. where she shouldn’t have went. To the darkness, the darkness is the only one who is strong as
On the first day God creates the foundation on which the rest of the earth and surrounding universe is built. This begins with his command let there be light'. He then goes on to separate the light from the darkness, naming them night and day.
In a photographer’s booth, we see the symbol of light where parents are able to look on themselves from the side and they have a possibility to understand that they are intolerable to each other. “The place is shadowed in the mauve light which is apparently necessary”. Unfortunately, they know it from the beginning but they don not want to accept it because it will disturb already chosen path. “…and finally, shocked by their indifference”. The only son, who is going to start an adult life, able to summarize the parents mistakes and to build his future in the light of love, hope and faith. “…into the cold light, I woke up”. No matter what and when we are always know where is the light but sometimes it is easier to wander in a gloom then to find strength to look at the sun.
The sun(Inti) rose slowly from Lake Titicaca. Nothing could been seen because of how bright Into was. The night sky was empty so he created the stars, planets and the moon. The moon (Pachamama) became his wife and together they ruled the heavens and earth. Inti created the first human made out of mountains of rocks. The first human didn't know how to live or survive. The sun and moon also known as Inti and Pachamama made a son and daughter to help the people, they taught them everything including how to be kind and fair.
Once upon a time there lived a great powerful lion named Mustapha. Mustapha was alone so he created the earth, but that wasn’t enough so he made men and women out of dirt and placed them on earth. Mustapha also created beautiful plants and amazing animals and even taught humans to survive. But all was not complete, so Mustapha created the sun and moon. The moon had a quiet and calm character but was jealous and when mad would release monsters and dark spirits among the people of the earth.
“Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The example of His light is like a niche within which is a lamp; the lamp is within a glass, the glass as it were pearly star lit from a blessed olive tree, neither of the east or of the west, whose oil would almost glow even if untouched by fire. Light upon light, Allah guides to His light whom He wills and Allah presents examples for people, and Allah is knowing of all things”[The Quran, 24:35]
