I really can’t say that I associate any certain songs with happiness. Kind of like I said above, I like fast paced upbeat songs, they keep me in a good mood. I don’t mind slow songs, a lot of them are very good songs, but can make me cry. Especially now that I am pregnant, some sad songs or slow songs are just automatic tear jerkers and hey really shouldn’t be. I like songs that have good messages behind them. A lot of newer music hese days have good beats, but have very poor messages behind them. I think this is one thing I always liked about Eminem; he always seemed to rap about things that have a good message, instead of talking about getting wasted at the club or sleeping around. I don’t think this is the type of stuff our kids these days should be hearing about. I guess all they have to do is turn on the TV and they’ll see this too, but I think it is something we should be discouraging, not encouraging. But I guess that is where the parents need to step in and explain right from wrong to their
This song is important to me because when I was 6 or 7 years old my mom would put on the song and I would sing along with it. When me and my mom would get in the car on long rides she would play the song and it never gets old I'm 12 right now so that has been my favorite song for 5 or 6 years. I was always eager to go places with that song. I liked it so much my mom bought me a mp3 player and she downloaded the song to it and I could listen to it wherever I go. It also uses Figurative language I did not know about for example Rhyme Loan out billion I get a trillion. Onomatopoeia Apl.de.ap.
My story has a meaningful story behind it. The story is deep for me and even for the artist and probably for many other people. Hearing songs like this can inspire you. It inspired me to be thankful for the people in my life. One day they can be here the next they could be gone. You never know what’s going on in their lives.
This song Desperado means a lot to me because it played on the album that I used to sing along in the car with my mom and sister when I was a small child. It acts as part of a symbol in the childhood that I so dearly cherish, and long to return to. The song is played on the album “Their Greatest Hits” and has a more country beat to it, which I enjoyed more, than their more rock and roll take on their music. When I sing along to this song, or any song on this album, I am taken back to the days where all the windows were down in my mom’s white minivan, blowing my blonde wispy curls in my face, and the heat of the warm sunshine on my skin. I think
This makes me want to discuss why this hit became so popular. If we set aside the lyrics and just listen to the rhythm of the song it is very enjoyable anyway. The simplicity of the
I chose this song because, in my opinion, it has a good thesis that backs up the song lyrics and it gives you a positive feeling. Basically, the song is telling us to always keep our faith and stay strong no matter what. It encourages people to
Music, music has so much power over us it makes us feel all these emotions and makes us act bit different when we're listening. The song that makes me fell like I have a lot of energy is "Billie Jean" by Michael Jackson. The first time I heard the song was when I was seven years old my dad wad the person who showed me the song. When I first heard it I immediately fell in love with it. Ever since that day, I loved the artist and my favorite song has always been "Billie Jean". "Billie Jean" is a song that inspires and motivates me to play soccer.
When listening to both songs the was serious, encouraging, and somewhat confident. My mood, when listening and watching these videos, it was the same I was touched and sad. I found these songs sad because I just imagined what other people are going through and how much these songs could help them feel better about themselves.
However, whenever someone is whistling it as they walk by or I hear it on a movie (who doesn’t love Beaches?), my heart soars and a smile creeps across my face as my eyes begin to swell. The song simply has the ability to bring back a
The artist chooses an upbeat and happy tempo that repeats throughout the song. He chooses this repeating tempo to draw the listener’s attention to the lyrics of the song. The slow, yet happy tempo paired with the artists bright and cheery voice creates a sense of ease and happiness within the song itself, and the audience.
when listening to the songs, the low pitched male voice drifted into the ear, and the pictures hits my mind, which are dance, tears and memories. “City of stars, there’s so much that I can’t see”. When the last imaginary disappears, everything was just like a dream. “Who knows, is this the start of something wonderful and new, or one more dream that I cannot make true”? Once dreams meet the reality, people will awake from their dream and face the real situation. Through the lyrics and the music tone, it leaves the significant memory for the audience and draws people into the sadness love story. The lyrics bring people go depth into the storyline and makes people think more about the internal meaning of the film. I think the songs really fits to the movie. Hearing the songs will bring back the movie scenes, and due to the movie’s storyline, the music in the film become extraordinary important and make people feel really
Although the lyrics bring up these issues, I still find the song fun and naughty. I grew up listening to this song and quote it for fun in situations where it is too hot outside. I did not realize how much Nelly brags and puts down other men in the lyrics. However, the whole song makes an individual want to dance because people can relate to the adrenaline that Nelly depicts in the song. The lyrics are also full of attitude and sass, which makes the experience more enjoyable for
Music can play a big role in our lives. It can be remembrance of a special times and times in hardships. Music can be a language without words because it’s so powerful and you can see their feelings or emotions in that one song. That can be one way of how we can have connection with another person. It also bring us together like there is a party and everyone just sitting on the couch but when they start to play music, we grab our friends and we start to dance with new people. Music is a big part of people. A song call “Realize” by Calbie cailat play a big part of my life. The tempo of the song is slow and have sad emotion in it. This was when my family just got to America in Charlotte, North Carolina. We cannot speak English at that time but we still enjoy
The two musical elements from this selection that stood out to me the most were its dynamics and tempo. The choir and piano would often employ softer and louder dynamics throughout the performance. There were times when they would repeat the phrase “I’m so happy yes,” softer, then slowly increase into a much louder and more powerful repeat, giving it a sense of a buildup of joy. Next is the tempo. It seems as though the tempo in this piece would sometimes change, moving from a faster to slower rate to, again, most likely to
I find myself humming it from time to time when I least expect. Usually I’m on a downer, feeling sorry for myself mostly or thinking about something I said or done with deep regret of some sort. Subsequently, as I get older I find I’m more emotive when I listen to music associated with my youth as oppose to just listening to the drumbeat, guitar riff and more importantly; the voice. I’m more driven by how the song relates to my life
