This is a recap of our duty day thus far: MA3 Bernard Jennings (CVN75 SEC) had a court appearance at 1200 today for a protective order hearing. He also had two outstanding warrants for assault & batter on a family member. When he went to court (escorted by MAC Powers), he was taken into custody for the warrants. The court was unable to inform MAC Powers how long he would be in jail or any details on his arrest. MA1 Chantese Moore picked him up. MA3 Jennings was released for the night and he went home. He needs to be back in court at tomorrow at 0900. (SITREP DRAFTED) IC3 Antonio Sanchez (CVN75 AIR/V2) was arrested at 0400 for DWI in Hampton Va. Member blew a .18 BAC at 0501. Member was charged with DWI and Reckless driving by danger to life, limb or property. IC3 Sanchez came back on board around 1730 and at 1745 he was administered a BAC by HST Security and he blew .065. Member was placed on a duty status for his own safety. On this 9/3/15 worker visited the residence of Mr. Alvin Higgins, for the purpose of making first victim contact. Mr. Greg Nunn, RN with New Beacon Hospice greeted worker outside of the residence. Mr. Nunn stated he called the residence about 3 1/2 hours before arriving and Ms. Betty Griffith was not home. However, her daughter Gina Craven and her boyfriend, Kenneth Woods was at the home. When he arrived, the door was unlocked and Mr. Higgins was lying in his bed located in the living room. After being there for several minutes, Mr. Woods came into the living room and asked if he needed anything. Mr. Nunn told him no and Mr. Woods walked toward the back of the house. Medically Mr. Higgins diagnoses are late stage Alzheimer's. He is bedbound, hard of hearing, and unable to communicate.
