Actually, the play Macbeth is one of the most famous works of English writer William Shakespeare. Macbeth play is considered for a tragedy because the main character will atone for his actions. Shakespeare showed here mature and profound vision of the evil. We can say, it is the play displaying perdition and disintegration of a human. In this, we see Shakespeare's art, to understand the complexity of human nature. The main theme of this tragedy, which I will devote, is ambition.
What's the ambition? Ambition means the desire for personal success, and it is often the basis of this success. In this essay, we will see Macbeth and his wife Lady Macbeth, how they were ruined because of their overwhelming ambitions.
First, Macbeth's ambition is deathly. Macbeth is the exact example of character, what everything are people willing to do, to realize their own ambitions, even a murder. It started by this that Macbeth and Banquo met three witches. They greeted Macbeth by his title "Thane of Glamis", and then they called him "Thane of Cawdor," and finally they predicted that he will become a king. When the messenger came with the news that he is now the Thane of Cawdor, Macbeth began to believe that the witches were telling him the truth. If he is Cawdor, then he has to be king. He started to think about that, which reflects these words: "I am Thane of Cawdor. If good, why do I yield to that suggestion whose horrid image doth unfix my hair and make my seated heart knock at my ribs, against the use of nature? Present fears are less than horrible
