A shocking story has developed overnight, with reports that King Duncan was murdered at Macbeth’s castle. Macbeth is now the Thane of Glamis and Cawdor, and he has revealed some shocking details about Duncan’s death. Macduff, Thane of Fife discovered Duncan’s body, with countless stab wounds.
There is a great deal of suspicion, with entire communities trying to figure out who committed the crime, but there is no evidence to suggest who is to blame for this atrocity. Macbeth killed two of Duncan’s chamberlains shortly afterwards, in great anger, as it appeared as though they committed the crime at the scene. Numerous sources have suggested that the chamberlains are in fact to blame for Duncan’s death, but claims range from Macbeth and Lady Macbeth plotting to kill Duncan, to Duncan’s sons using their relationships with their father as a pathway to the crown. In an effort to uncover some information, a series of interviews with eyewitnesses and other reliable sources have been conducted.

He stated, “It’s obviously a huge shock to have a king murdered so close to you, and it’s a bit of a worry being king now. With that, though, I strongly suspect that the chamberlains killed Duncan, which is why I killed them. It certainly looked like they killed him; they had daggers on them and they were covered in blood.
Because Macbeth lusts for more and more power, he makes bad decisions and actions which shows that lust for power leads to corruption. In the play Macbeth, Macbeth murders King Duncan in order to become king and accumulate more power, which connects with the thematic idea of corrupting influence of power. When MacDuff is talking to Lennox after he finds out that King Duncan was murdered he says “O horror, horror, horror!/ Tongue nor heart cannot conceive nor name thee!”. In the quote Macduff yells “O horror, horror, horror!”(add more context which leads into analysis, and why does macduff feel that way)

To begin, it is without a doubt that Macbeth is the one who murdered King
Essay topic: Is Lady Macbeth more responsible than Macbeth for the murder of King Duncan? Is Lady Macbeth a more evil character than her husband and, if so, why?
Macbeth is confronted with witches and they tell him that he’ll be the new king, then his motives were to become king and to kill the king in while the king slept and lady Macbeth drugs the guards, Macbeth deals with jealousy, pride, and has no problem with illusions, Macbeth sees a dagger that leads him to the king but has no confirmation of it being a real dagger. (Is this a dagger I see before me, the handle toward my hand?) Macbeth not only in his state of mind imagines things, but also hears things (sleep no more, Macbeth does murder sleep) Macbeth began to be “equivocate” as he began to feel guilty from the murder. (I am afraid to think what I have done) Macbeth goes to the murder scene with Macduff, Macduff then alerts the guards. Macbeth
Good morning/afternoon everyone. It is my pleasure to represent Macbeth in this very important case. Today I am here to prove that Macbeth is in fact - INNOCENT and should not be punished for the accusation of the regicide of our beloved King Duncan, the murder of the two guards and the conspiracy to commit the murder of Banquo and his son Fleance.
Macbeth’s first excuse for killing Duncan was that three witches who could see into the future told him of his fate. “All hail, Macbeth, who will be King later on!” (1.3.291) as one of the .witches put it. However, Duncan had already been crowned before Macbeth was told this. Macbeth took matters into his own hands, killing Duncan in order to receive the crown sooner than fate had it. If the witches were right, Macbeth would have been king even if he hadn’t killed Duncan, making it unnecessary to kill Duncan. Macbeth’s unruly decision to kill is an insight as to whether or not he’s solely guilty.
In the play Macbeth, the witches told Macbeth that he will be a king one day, so he decided to kill Duncan to become a king. However, the way Macbeth read the prophecy was not right. There could be other ways to become a king instead of killing Duncan. Therefore, he needs to be punished for the murder. Even after he has slain Duncan, he was afraid of the prophecy that he killed Banquo and the family of Macduff. His aspiration led innocent killed, and for these three reasons, he should be sentenced for murdered.
We certainly know that the direct responsible for Duncan’s death is Macbeth. However this does not necessarily mean he is to blame, for his violent death is obviously the consequence of certain influences that forced Macbeth to perform his fatal deed. Furthermore, to unearth the truth about who is really the guilty for Duncan’s murder we must explore the influences the different characters have on Macbeth’s impulses and the overall scenario of the slaying.
In my essay we are going to talk about why I think Lady Macbeth is more responsible for the murder of King Duncan. I think the reason she is guilty is because she put her nightwear, she pushed her husband Macbeth to kill him, and because Duncan was more in charge than she was over all of the people.
