Macbeth undergoes dramatic changes in the play William Shakespeare, and when he changes the people around him start to react to him differently. In the play William Shakespeare many people see Macbeth as a person that wants more power than everyone and wants to be the best also they see him as valiant and brave when in battle. Throughout the whole play Macbeths actions influenced various of characters by all the encounters he had during the play.
First, Macbeth did anything in order to gain power, which lead to other characters to influence of his actions, he murdered people all the way until he murdered King Duncan, that murder lead him to the top to become king. But those actions didn’t influence people in a good way it influenced them

Therefore, he urges them to take their revenge and murder Banquo. “Do you find your patience so predominant in your nature that you can let this go? Are you so gospell’d to pray for this good man and for his issue” (III.i.92-96). Which refers to him telling the murder what has he done for you. “I’ll call upon you straight: abide within. It is concluded. Banquo, thy soul’s flight, if it find heaven, must find it out to-night.” (III.i.154-156). Which Macbeth means that the deal is done with the murders and Banquo shall wait what is coming to …show more content…
But Macbeth is not a good person even though he didn’t intend to murder King Duncan, but he still did. He could of not listened to his wife and made another choice, but he chose to listen and do it. Macbeth was involved in a lot of murders which lead him to the top, but all those murders lead him to a downfall “Hail, king! For so thou art: behold, where stands the usurper’s cursed head: the time is free:”(V.VIII.50-53). At this point MacDuff murdered Macbeth and is holding his head, if Macbeth was a good person this would not have of happened and Macbeth wouldn’t of been murdered
Macbeth actions did influence people it influenced them by being afraid of him and not taking action until MacDuff came along and showed people that there isn’t nothing to be afraid of. But overall Macbeth came a long way from the bottom all the way to the top, but his power didn’t last long in the Tragedy of
At the beginning of the play, Macbeth’s character starts off as a loyal and brave soldier, who is admired by many people. Throughout the play, however, it is evident that his character and the personality of his character change a lot. There are many aspects that changed his character. What the witches said to him I think changed him the most. Before the witches spoke to him, he didn’t think of what it would be like to be king, or any of the other things, but because the first prediction came true, it led him to believe all the others would as well. The witches are what started him off thinking of how powerful he could become. Obviously his wife talked him into it, but without what the
In the play ‘The Tragedy of Macbeth’ written by Shakespeare, Macbeth is the main character and this is a story on how his life goes on. Everyone gets influenced everyday maybe for good or evil. Macbeth did not get influenced the best way possible through his life. How did the witches and Lady Macbeth influenced to take action in somethings.
MacBeth is influenced by his wife to kill Duncan, wasn’t so much of her influencing him it was more of her challenging his manhood. With him being king in a war he had to uphold his reputation for being “tough”, which means that he did not want the enemy to think of him and lesser of a man than he really was. If you can’t look up to someone who’s king, masculine, and a war hero who else are you supposed to look up to. In my view I think this was Macbeth’s softspot, he always wanted to seem like a competitor he always wanted to be the victor. MacBeth had a problem with leaving things alone he could have not been dethroned, had he just killed Dunkin, and Macduff. He killed Banquo because the people viewed him as a well respected and royal man, and in Macbeth’s eyes this was a potential threat that had to be dealt with.
While Macbeth shows to have the least influence upon himself and the witches have a significant amount
Once Macbeth was given more power his ego grew rapidly and everything just went downhill from there. He became thane which then lead to being king, The more power he wanted lead to him becoming more greedy, it started to control him and ruined many other lives. This play shows that no matter how much someone has they still want more and are never pleased with what they
The characterization of Macbeth being power hungry and not caring about anything else is in, “We’d jump the life to come.” His ambition causes him to risk everything he has just for the throne. He sets a dark course ahead for himself in order to achieve his desires for power. This impacts Macbeth by changing him into a deceiving, backstabbing person.
Macbeth was very considerate in what life had given him, but then three witches told him he would be king if he killed three certain people. He became ambitious and followed the plan of the witches, which lead to destructing himself. “ He won’t catch a wink of sleep, either at night or during the day. He will live as a cursed man.” ( Macbeth pg.11). For example in this quote the witches tell him that if he does not do what they say then he will be restless, and damned. Another example is “ I have never seen a day that was so good and bad at the sametime”(Macbeth pg.13). Which this explains how Macbeth was astonished of the news that he could be king, and bad because he had to kill people to become king. Finally the witches say “ All hail, Macbeth the future king”(Macbeth pg.15) to puch Macbeth to the idea that he was already king to them. All he had to do was kill the three people to receive the title of becoming king. This is when Lady Macbeth influenced Macbeth during the play due to his ambition taking over.
At first, viewers see Macbeth as a man who would like power, and by the end they see a selfish man who is willing to do anything to remain in power. The three witches had a very strong influence upon him, being that they could predict Macbeth’s future. “All hail, Macbeth, that shalt be king hereafter!” (1.3.53) The third which tells Macbeth that he will become king.
One of the biggest reasons Macbeth was not suited to be king was that he could easily be swayed by devil worshippers, which had in fact had no power over him except temptation. This is evident when he had made the choice to go and pursue his unlawful conquest of power with nothing but the words of the three witches. It was also apparent that Macbeth could not justify what he had committed after killing Duncan and it had haunted him for the rest of his days. Another character flaw is the way every person Macbeth had killed or murdered haunted him showing that he was not cruel enough to hold the throne. In the big picture he had done what was acceptable at the time the play takes place because he was king at the time when
Lastly, Macbeth went even further to try and gain power when he sent the murderers to kill Macduff’s family. He did this because of the witches prophecies about who would become king. At this point in the story Macbeth seems to be entirely crazy from the crimes he has committed and his thirst to be king. This ends with Macbeth coming to a tragic death by Macduff all because he tried to hard to become king.
The reason Macbeth did not do well is because the guilt of killing the king and his companions caught up to him and caused him to go crazy. Machiavelli had two principles which related to Macbeth. The first principal is a ruler should rule with an iron fist and the second is the ruler should not utilize cruel and unneeded penalizations. Macbeth’s immensely colossal mistake was killing people off one by one and not all at once. He ruled with an iron fist which appears when he killed Duncan, but by killing off more nobles he becomes the bad guy and people begin to fear him in a bad way. People should fear his power not be afraid because of his murder spear. When the high position officials commenced to fear for their lives, they made a plan to attack Macbeth which led to his
Macbeth started off a great and noble man of Scotland and was honoured by the king and his people. He was thought of as a great man and brave among the
While Macbeth was in control of his actions, he was easily influenced by outside factors including his wife and the witches throughout the play. Macbeth also allowed his own need for his wife to be satisfied push him to do something that he would not do in his right mind. Macbeth allowed himself to think that just because the witches were right one time that they had real insight, therefore he trusted them. The riches and the power of being king appealed to macbeth, but it was the outside influences that pushed Macbeth to get these things.
Macbeth’s decisions were influenced by the
The witches have a profound effect on Macbeth's actions and his character development throughout the play. They gave Macbeth a false belief with seemingly true statements about his destiny. Instead they prove to cause him to do harmful actions because of his over confidence in the witches prophecy. THe witches are the ones who actually implant the thought of killing Duncan into the realms of Macbeth's mind. However, if the cause was merely the
