It seemed like a normal day at Majikku High School, it was lunch time and I ate outside with the football team. “Raven, are you excited for the game next week?” asked Nicholas, I opened my lunchbox and nodded. I wanted to tell Nicholas ‘Every game is important to a caption’ but there wasn’t much of a point. The game really wasn’t that important to me, I was going to be a senior next year and I’m more focused on getting a job. Nicholas kept talking about the game, he is probably the most excited about it. There is a total of 15 players on the team. Me, Nicholas, Max, Charlie, Flame, Zane, Aaron, Laurance, Tony, Spencer, Craig, Tyler, Evan, David, and Jonathan are all important to the team. Everyone has there own parts and we act like a huge family, there are always a few fights every now and then but we all get along. After a bit of talking and eating, the bell rang and it was time for everyone to get to class. I stuffed my lunchbox into my backpack and ran to Honors Chemistry. I always saw my class schedule as a game, if I can get to each class before the …show more content…
Schmidt, the Honors Chemistry teacher walked into the room. He always had a smile on his face and enjoyed some of my games. Some days Mr. Schmidt let me sit where ever I wanted since I’m a straight A student. “Alright class” said Mr. Schmidt, walking to his desk. “Take out your chemistry books and turn to page 57. Raven, I don’t want to hear any giggling, it is disruptive to the class” I snickered a bit, nodded, and took out my book, the cheerleaders’ eyes seemed to be glued onto me. They were all trying to act adorable and see if one of them could win my affection. My mind wouldn’t change but they were too determined, the entire class was just me working and the cheerleaders starring. When class was finally over, I stuffed my books into my backpack and ran, there was no point in staying. If I did then the cheerleaders would make sure I didn’t leave the class unless I chose one of them to be my
As Angelica confidently strolled into Rosario High, Eliza and Peggy, her sisters followed close behind. Angelica had been at the school before, because she'd been taking a bus over to the high school for her advanced math class all throughout eighth grade. Eliza, however, had never been inside the building before and felt incredibly small walking in. Peggy wasn't even supposed to be there. She should've been in eighth grade, but she skipped it and went straight to high school. She was very smart, but no one ever noticed. She was always just Angelica and Eliza's sister. They made their way down wing 1B in search of their lockers. Peggy stopped at her locker, number ninety six, while Angelica and Eliza looked for their own. Angelica finished her search at locker number seventy stuff. Eliza found hers a bit farther down, locker 46. While she began to unpack her books, she saw four boys making their way down the hallway. One was the famous jock, Lafayette. No one knew his real name except teachers, because he insisted that it was to long to use. His friend, another jock who was very smart, however, Hercules Mulligan followed him down the hall. John Laurens, who was decent at sports, but more of a science guy was with them, too. Following them was the mystery man, Alexander Hamilton. He was in their grade, but barely anyone knew anything about him. Eliza figured he was just another jock.
Young, but driven, Jorge began dancing in the spring of his senior year at Sharyland High School. He was welcomed into Melba's School of Dance's family where he was introduced to ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and folklorico.
There is a school in Rhode Island called Opequonsett High. It is full of jocks, mean girls, and popular kids. Hidden deep inside of the crowd are what you might call the outfitters. Vice Principal Mr. Brenigan wants anything BUT outfitters! The kids who did not fit in were usually the ones who got into trouble. Stella got in trouble for wearing an inappropriate shirt. Wen got in trouble for using bad words in class and Mo got in trouble for skipping class and behaving badly. They all got in big trouble for what they did. While they were in detention, a catchy song started playing. Wen started tapping his foot to the beat, then Stella started tapping on the desk. Finally Mo began humming along. They sounded
“I know Thomas, but these kids are just too into their electronics and you have tried to stop them, but it just hasn’t worked,” said Mason Ford, Assistant Principal at Podunk High School. “We need another way to stop them from using their phones.”
Transferring to Carencro High School was really terrifying. I was a Lafayette High School student and we just thought we were the best school since we were an A school. Like “ nobody couldn’t tell us anything.” That been my mindset for the past 3 years since I’ve been there. I remember there were times I was like” I can’t wait to leave that school.” I honestly didn’t think I would be leaving so early.
Going through the school day I had to stay focused and put myself in the right mindset for the upcoming. I couldn’t have any distractions. Looking back, I was probably a little too serious. It was necessary, though, if I wanted to have a good game.
“ In the early month of May at the Menifee Middle School, it was a normal day until ‘YES’, ‘HIT HIM’ ‘HIT HIM.’ Students were pilling out into the schoolyard toward the echoes of cheering. With the excitement in the air, it was the chance for students to grasp the glimpse moment of exhilaration.
The start of my 9th grade year at Elsik High School was chill. Even though most of my Friends from Killough went to Taylor or Hasting High School. Elsik has a campus just for the incoming freshman. I wasn't that intimidated about being a freshman because all of the incoming freshman were together. Its was hard for me to make friends. So I decided to to join Elsik Might Ram Football. Since i Joined the football team I met NIck,Tim, Correa,Luke and others that played football. Playing football help maintain an A&B average. Elsik High school had two buildings. One building was just for the freshman and other building was for 10 through 12 graders. I couldn't wait to be in the other building Because the other building known as main campus at all
A stranger in the village is someone that is new to a place or isn’t familiar with something. Approximately two years ago I moved, which meant I had to move schools too. I was 15 years when I moved to McEachern High School but it made me be a more independent person.
A school day went like this, we’d go to breakfast and wait in the line scoping out the cafeteria to see who we’d be in class with and who we’d get in trouble with. Then there comes first period with Mrs. collins, she teaches social studies and her class was pretty boring. I’d take notes each day and secretly laugh at my friends as they’d try to doze off, constantly looking at the clock knowing that in an hour I’d be in my “fun” class where I could relax. So it's time for next period and this was science class taught by the coach of all boy sports so we didn’t do much. We opened a book on our desk to whatever page he had written on the board, and the rule was: whenever someone comes to the door act like you’re working. Now, don’t get me wrong occasionally we would do assignments and take a quiz or two, but we had it pretty easy, except for the days after the games and the boys did bad. A victory meant we would watch a movie and a defeat meant we’d have to read the chapter, answer the questions at the end, and turn our work
The fresh dew in the air, cold and frosty, sent a chill vibrating throughout my body. The sun peaked out from behind the mountain, yet the tint of bleak darkness remained in the sky. Subsequent to the prolonged drive, we arrived at La Reina High School located at Thousand Oaks, California. We all filed out of the van and Miller, my debate coach, handed me a blue laptop, thin and smooth, with the number six atop. A wave of anxiety broke over me, as we walked in. My mind was clouded and racing with a million thoughts. I had never done this before, and here I was at my first debate tournament. Debate was a very prominent part of my life and I was strongly determined to earn pride and respect from my coach. As we went into the cafeteria and to
As I walk into the football field in this cool Saturday night, I am greeted by the beat of the drums and various instruments being blasted from each talented musicians. But instead of meeting with the band in the football field on a school night, we met at Kapolei High School for the 6th Annual Kapolei Marching Band Festival on Saturday, November 14, 2015. Our nerves were in excitement, but this year will be different. After our performance, I was convinced that we had performed to the best of our ability. As award time came around, we would find out if we performed the best in our division.
“You ready?”, I asked while smiling and excited for the night to come. “Of course”, she replied sweetly, and with a smile that was brighter than the full moon. We walked in casually, and briefly talking amongst ourselves about school and what not. We walked in and went straight to the ticket booth. Well table more or less. There was more than one person accepting money and handing out tickets, so we both were paying at the same time. One of the teachers working the ticket stand was, Mrs. Bunna, she was my ACT prep teacher. Now I knew I wasn’t her favorite, mostly because I would sleep during our practice tests, but it was a pass or fail class that didn’t affect my gpa. So I could’ve cared less. “Hello.” I said to her with a large smile, genuinely trying to be nice to her. “Hello Shane, it seems like you’re lucky tonight.” she replied with a slight grin in her smile. “What do you mean?” I asked surprised and slightly confused. “Here, it’s the last one.”, she replied, handing me an orange towel to wave around during the game. At first I thought nothing of it other than that it was cool to get the last one. We both had our tickets and walked through the heavy doors of the gym to find our seats. When the doors opened there was a certain energy that you could fell in the air. The stands were full on both sides enjoying the girls’ game and eagerly awaiting the boys’ game. We arrived at the student section, tons of familiar faces looking at me
Lunch arrives and I'm stuck eating lunch in my friends car, jealous of all the other seniors that eat out daily. I bring my last bag of snacks to U.S. government and politics and discuss the daily events. Calculus is something fresh and challenging and I'm happy to have friends in the class. PE class is entertaining with my girlfriend Jenna as a tennis partner. The school day closes with a socratic seminar in Language and Composition. With the ringing of the final bell at 1:30, I get a feeling of relaxation, at least for 20 minutes. After school, I have football practice at 2. On a team that loses quite often (at least this year, the last two we've been to the finals), the duration of practice is about four hours long or more, six days a week. Football is where I get to relieve some stress by putting my focus and frustration into every hit. While it is an escape from the school life, it is no escape from mental and physical hard work required by the coaches. After a long football practice, a friend drives my brother and I home and we arrive around 6:30 to my mom making a necessary dinner. After eating a dinner with the entire family, I proceed from 7:30 on in my room to finish the required homework into the night varying how late I stay
That’s right folks, you read the headline right! Lately in Reardan High School, the new student named Junior is the talk of the school. His real name is Arnold and he is a Indian who came from the Spokane Indian Reservation. We have asked his classmates about what are their opinions and thoughts about him. Most of them have said, their first impression of Junior was interesting, considering he was one of the first Indians willing to go to a school like Reardan. According to a classmate, Junior was in a fight where he punched a guy’s face. And ended up winning people’s respect, especially the guy he fought with. He is now dating the “prettiest girl” in the school and is fitting in with all of the kids. He recently tried out for basketball and
