I ended up on a week of suspension just because i opened my mouth pontification and letting the conversation go sour. I believe it is very hard to follow rules when you have your own opinion and beliefs. But when it comes to work , i notice your opinion doesn't really matter , i wasn't getting paid to express my opinion nor my beliefs i was getting paid to help the young women accept what was going on in their life and overcome their problems. The only time your opinion should matter is when it is a life and death situation. As i stated its the written rules that havent really registered into anyones head , racism is a big problems. There has been times i was told i was uneducated to help an asian or caucasian woman due to an African American statistics level. Some of the broken and battered women that are in need of help were surprise to the that a black woman was over the organization : Make me over. As hard it is for society to accept most African Americans we lost many women who were in need of help just because our skin color was a little darker than others. We teach everyone that works for us never see color but the eye of someones heart. As stated by many organization discriminating someone by the way they look , dress and mainly by the color of their skin tone is morally wrong , it's very

As we grow up, our parents’ views on what is morality good and bad is embedded into the way we see issues and situations. One ethical issue that splits society into two groups is the death penalty. In the movies Dead Men Walking and Return to Paradise the death penalty is a controversy due to the different perspectives. Moreover, there are ethical issues and ethical theories such as utilitarianism and ethical formalism that applies to both these movies.
The question of what is truly the nature of justice remains an unanswered question as noted by Bertrand Russell in ‘The History of Western Philosophy’ wherein he notes that Socrates was unable to provide a convincing rebuttal of Glaucon’s arguments on justice, and neither have all the social philosophers since, been able to do. Amartya Sen, in his book ‘The Idea of Justice’, has
An ethical dilemma is a situation in which one need to select from two or more morally acceptable choices or between equally unacceptable actions when one option prevents selection of the other (Ong, Yee & Lee, 2012). An example for an ethical dilemma in the moral values related to health policy is the end of life issues. One of the end of life issues includes withholding and withdrawing the medical treatment. Passive euthanasia is the act of withdrawing life supports or interventions needed to keep a patient alive (American Academy of Physician Assistants, 2014). This is usually done according to the wish of the patient. Patients who do not want to receive resuscitative treatment will opt out of these treatment measures and obtain a do-not-resuscitate
Ethical dilemmas occur when there is a disagreement about a situation and all parties involved question how they should behave based on their individual ethical morals. (Newman & Pollnitz, 2005). The dilemma that I will be addressing in this essay involves Michael, recently employed male educator working in the nursery, and parents of a baby enrolled at the centre. The parents have raised concerns about male educators changing their child’s nappy as they have cultural practices that do not allow this practice to take place. This situation is classed as an ethical dilemma as there is a dispute between cultural beliefs and legal requirements within the workplace. There are four parties involved (parents, child, educator and director), all

On Thursday August 4, 2016, I was at work. I was informed that there was a young man asking for my work schedule (what days I worked and time) and what car I drove. After no information was given out to him (Tala Toilolo) left my work location in which shortly after Johnnie contacted a former co-worker and a current employee. He asked for the same information. Someone came to my job before my shift was over to watch out for me and inform me of everything she had heard Johnnie and affliates were after. This person warned me to "watch my back, to never be alone, and that whenever I go out whether it was work or anywhere else to not leave anywhere until I made sure my ride arrived ." If someone overhears all this and is friends with
People from all walks of life face many ethical dilemmas. These dilemmas have consequences. Our worldview determines how we deal with these dilemmas, and guides us to the right decisions. The ethical dilemma is a situation by which it’s difficult to determine whether a situation is can be handled without disappointing both sides. Therefore, an ethical dilemma exists when the right thing to do is clear or when members of the healthcare team cannot agree on the right thing to do. Ethical dilemmas require negotiation of different points of view (potter, Perry, Stockert, & Hall 2011pg 78).
When asked to reflect on an ethical dilemma that I faced in life, it really makes me think of all the possible situations that happened in my personal and professional life. There are several instances where I have faced ethical dilemma but I wish to point out to one such instance that I encountered at my workplace where I was able to take decision based on my conscience and I feel I have made the right choice and below is the reflective account of that incident.
Everyone has a distinct set of pet peeves that frustrate him or her to the core, whether it is obnoxiously loud chewing or incessant pen clicking. Personally, I find slow walking to be the most irksome behavior out there. It’s nearly impossible and definitely a bit painful for me to be behind people meandering aimlessly in hallways, on sidewalks, or out and about in public. Recently, I found myself in a situation that truly tested my patience and encouraged me to contemplate whether I made the right choice or not.
“Brad is a production engineer at a bicycle company and part of his job includes inspecting broken bikes and drafting the design repairs for their repair” (Bartlett). Brad is considering replacing a broken brake cable with a more durable material, even though the customer did not request it in their order and specifically requested that “No aesthetic changes be made to the bike” (Bartlett). Brad’s manager suggests that his considered actions would go against the company’s policy of “The customer is always right.” Should Brad disobey the manager and the customer to possibly lose his job or go along with
