Company Analysis
In order to lead a healthy life style, proper nutrition is essential. In the hectic and busy lives of college student’s nutrition is not always a priority. College students are so caught up in maintaining their social lives, while pursuing academic prosperity and lose sight of maintaining well balanced diets. Designated in the Burlington area having little competition in the smoothie market will bring forward opportunity for success. However, on the contrary located in such an eco-friendly city our business might be seen as not so environmentally
Addressing the issue concerning that the vending machines on campus lack proper healthy food and snack options for the campus. It is important that the food options available to students and staff consist of more nutritional value. The high content of sugar and sodium is not only poor for diet but also for the attention span and concentration.
The growing locavore movement suggests that local food is key for healthy eating and community growth. One would imagine that the closer the source of one’s food is from, the healthier and more sustainable it is, right? However, this is not the case. In the set of locavore articles, the authors provide information to show that the locavore movement brings about issues involving inefficiency, energy use, and impracticality.
In the article “The Pleasure of Eating”, Wendell Berry expresses his idea that in order for consumers to truly appreciate the food on their plates, they should know its origin and how it is produced. Berry was inspired by his realization that nowadays food productions are becoming more and more industrialized, and the consumers themselves are slowly transforming into industrial eaters. He states that there is a barrier between the people and the reality behind food production because people can purchase already packaged food at anywhere and anytime. This makes them ignorant to the hardship and the cruel conditions it went under to get on the shelves. He also criticizes the food industry, as it manipulates people to regard eating as a way of survival and not one of the many pleasures in life. Berry successfully appeals to pathos in order to further convince his urban consumers that eating is an act of pleasure. Therefore, people should take more into consideration on what they are eating and how it will affect them in the long run.
In accordance with findings based on extensive research, Jamba Juice has encountered a steady decline in its sales and market share value due to a variety of internal and external factors. Although the largest smoothie chain in the United States is foreseeably on the road to non-existence, proper business development can potentially help the corporation turn things around and prosper like it once did.
I chose the topic “food” because is a very essential factor of the human life. The United States surrounds itself with a variety of fast food chains that causes obesity and death. In order to prevent the negative health risks, there must be amends made. Finley suggested that growing your own food benefits you, your health, your health, and even your children.
Berry attempts to indicate the use of persuasion to convince the readers we should change our lives for the betterment and be healthier in the produce we decide to purchase. His goal is to make us question the things we do to make his point. The author contributes a list of seven things we can do to obtain pleasure from our food. The article being in a first person point of view shows his influence that he wants us to acquire. For instance, he says,
Food waste is an issue that is present at Cornell College. By going into Bon Appetit, the issue becomes clear. Students are given more food than they can eat. To go boxes are not available for students who dine in, and most students do not bring reusable containers with them. Most do not think about how much food they waste. By going over to where we put out plates when we are finished, it is easy to see many students leave a good portion of their meals on the plate. Whether they did not like what they were eating or they were in a hurry and had to leave, big amounts of food are wasted during each meal of the day. Steps can be taken to decrease the overall amount of food that is wasted on campus. Ideas such as smaller plates, vermiculture, competitions, and others can be utilized in the efforts to decrease food waste on campus.

However, I aspire to change the game in eating for a suitably fitting lifestyle. I hope for kids to grow up eating supplementary vegetables, fruits and snacks rich in protein, carboyhdrates and fats that are cheap yet filling. Therefore, I want to first focus on familiarizing myself with what children choose to eat and why they desire to eat it. Through gathered data I hope to advise a plan for children to be in tip top shape. Throughout the community, I can publicise the

Have you ever seen “Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate” (Figure. 2) growing out of the ground? Today's society offers new options for meals every day. From fondue to fast food, there are new options everywhere you go. To clear up any curiosity, sodium stearoyl lactylate is a chemical added to Twinkies to make its processed ingredients more tolerable to the human body. Companies like Hostess and Kellogg’s are scientifically manipulating the human body, tricking them into being able to digest their chemical makeup of the ingredients. The true challenge when finding a place to eat is not only considering its availability, but also deciding which choice is most health conscious. Processed foods may taste good going down, but they actually contain many unnatural ingredients, if that is even their appropriate name, that can lead to obesity and health problems throughout one’s life. Many of these processed foods are, unfortunately, the most readily available. The debate of processed versus organic foods is a common conflict in society today. Whether it is due to lack of income, or pure laziness, people choose every day to put toxic, unnatural foods in their body. Some foods that appear to be healthy may not be; the real trick to healthy food is being as earth-centered as possible. Organic means coming from living matter--food in its purest form. Living an organic lifestyle is, most importantly, a better decision regarding the health and wellbeing of the

Branding has been effectively used as a strategic tool for marketing by innocent smoothies and that helps the company to maintain its share in the market or in keeping its competitive position. Innocent has developed its brand image by providing excellent satisfaction, by being genuine, healthy and socially responsible in the eyes of their consumers and once the image is developed, they were able to attract the customers. It is because of brand and its perceived value that consumers are loyal and committed to the Innocent products and they do not look for any substitutes (Ginden, 1993). Customers also perceive it less risky in buying a brand product with which they are emotionally attached. It is more important for products like innocent drinks which the customers have to consume and which has direct impact on their health and body.
The survey found that only 20% of students were meeting the daily requirement of four serves of vegetables while 39% were eating the recommended three daily serves of fruit. "Our survey found consumption of unhealthy/non-core foods was high, with 46% of students having fast food meals at least twice a week, 51% eating snack foods four or more times per week, and 44% having high-energy drinks four or more times per week," states Dr Victoria White, from the Centre of Behavioural Research in
The potential impact that I am going to be talking about is going to be based mostly about my consumption of the product but also the company’s impacts. When making the first study on my consumption of the product and the company I came across multiple different types of impacts. There are a large amount of different types of impacts these products may cause from very minor impacts to very large and drastic impacts that have a very negative affect toward some countries. The biggest issue this company has is the amount of water it consumes to make all of the different types of beverages they make. The next major issue is the hazardous material and waste the company uses and produces to make the product. Another major issue this company has is public health but this impact will not be covered to a full extent because the major focus is going to be the environmental impacts. I am going to be breaking down the impacts by major categories, which are resources, hazards, and public facilities/services.
