One of the most interesting European countries to visit, study abroad, or even live in would have to be Spain. Within Spain there are hundreds of cities and small towns to visit. However, it seems as though everyone always talks about Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, etc. Not many are even aware of Malaga, a port city in Southern Spain's Costa del Sol - but here are some reasons why they definitely should be.
MALAGA
Malaga is home to numerous gorgeous beaches, with crystal clear deep blue ocean water and shell filled sand. On these beaches tourists and locals can lounge on beach chairs provided by small restaurant joints along side the water. People are playing beach volleyball, running in and out of the water, and drinking and eating the great food!
Nearby the beaches, are the greatest areas for tourists. All visitors are immersed within the culture of España and can enjoy top of the line hotels and cuisine. Sure, many of people mainly visit Spain to visit the big cites of Barcelona and Madrid, but I can personally assure you that there is so much more to explore. Running bulls, flamenco dancers, museums, Ibiza, Sagrada Familia, and Alhambra. The list goes on and on about the different places that an individual can experience whilst out there exploring the world. Let’s not forget the mouth-watering food too, one of which is by far the most popular dish that comes from Spain, and many fan-favorites, paella (a rice dish prepared with seafood). To further drive you to Spain, I’d like to address this. According to an article, “Why Take the Time to Visit the Alhambra in Spain?” it boldly states, “The ancient buildings, aqueducts, and other leftovers from hundreds of years ago offer amazing opportunities for tourists who take the time to visit them.” This is self-explanatory, if you would only take the time to really push and learn about the background of Spain, you will have the most amazing experience
Beachcombing on the shores of the Atlantic at Sebastian reveals plenty of shells and sea-beans. Sunbathing, of course, offers relaxation. And, for a change of pace and year-round activity, stargazing in the winter months is breathtaking. If that is not enough to do, canoeing and kayaking on the Indian River Lagoon slows the pace.
The destination I picked was a place called Villanueva Zacatecas. I picked this place because Villanueva is the place were my dad's side of the family lives. Before you get to Villanueva you are going to pass some of the things I did on my freedom quilt. When I was making my quilt I was looking at all the things you pass before getting to Zacatecas.

The Spanish built an elaborate empire in the Americas, covering the whole western-coast of South America, all of Central America, the Caribbean, Mexico, and parts of the United States, including New Mexico and Florida. It took years of effort in order to set up to colonize this big region and set up a structured system. The 3 main motives of Spain was “God, Gold, and Glory”. A law firm has warned U.S. Air Force officials assigned at the Joint Base San Antonio in Texas that they could face legal action if they do not withdraw the punishment for a Christian officer who was accused of making derogatory comments on homosexuality but has already been cleared through an investigation.
As I said above, I have already traveled to Spain and actually spent the week living in my brother’s apartment so I got to experience the living situation first hand. It wasn’t hard for me to adjust to living there at all because of my ability to adapt to my living situations with ease. Also, I spent the week going out to see the different places, meet new people, and be in different social situations so I already know what it feels like to be in those situations and I handled it
The fascinating and beautiful country of Spain is one of the largest countries in Europe. The history that Spain has had has left great stories to tell and remarkable landmarks to visit. Spain is located in the south west corner of Europe, with its neighboring countries, Portugal and France. It has a population of forty million plus people, but almost one-third of the nation’s population is foreigners that reside in its territory. One of the most important facts about Spain is that its economy is one of the largest in the world. Spain is currently in a recession, with low employment rates and poverty.
As you might remember I gave four reasons to why people travel: to learn, to have an adventure, to spend time with people you like and to work. My trip to Granada can apply to all four reasons. It was a school trip, where I learned and adventured myself whilst I spent time with people I like, my friends. This trip was a change from what I am used to in every way. Change is a key word here because that is what we mainly seek through traveling. A change from our routines, to get away from the weather, work and culture we are used to. By simply changing, I was able to avoid, not forget, the strains and stresses of my everyday life and, thus, we have more positive feelings. That is why we travel; we release ourselves from what saddens us and focus on what we are doing at that
