Malala Teen Activist

Malala Yousafzai is a women and children activist born in Mingora, Pakistan on July 12th 1997. While growing up, she began advocating for the right to education among girls . Due to her persistence and determination in her activism, on October 9th 2012 Malala was shot on her way home from school by a gunman. She survived the incident and became more passionate towards her fight for education for young females. This incident gave her popularity and in 2013 Malala became nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, which she won in 2014. Malala became the youngest winner of the Nobel Peace Prize (Yousafzai 481). Due to the problems that young females had been facing in Pakistan and worldwide, it was essential to understand her education, the oppression by the Taliban, the devotion towards her religion named Islam and activism on the basis of the novel ‘I Am Malala’.

After reading the book ‘’I Am Malala’’ I noticed that she was one of the bravest strong young girls in the world. Malala Yousafzai is a young girl born on July 12, 1997, in the city, Mingora in Pakistan. She fought for something that is she is passionate about. Heroes are people who stand up for something, they are courageous, they are noble and they are loyal to something they stand for. Malala is known as the fifteen-year-old girl who got shot because she fought for women’s rights and education. This young girl named Malala is brave, persistent, and influential.

The article, “Malala the Powerful” by Kristin Lewis, describes the roughness of Malala, a Jewish girl, who like many girl Jews, crumbled in the hands of Taliban. Malala was alive when the Taliban took over Pakistan. She and many other girl jews were kicked out of school and forced to follow all these stitched rules. In 2009, Malala took action and started a blog. She talked on T.V shows about how hard life was like and was standing up to the Taliban. In 2010, the Taliban shot Malala in the face but she and many other Jews still survived. Though she lived in rough and tough challenges, Malala show lots of courage trying to stand up to the Taliban and their powerful government.

Teen activists fight for what they believe in to show they are passionate and determined. Firstly, Malala Yousafzai is a teen activist that wants girls to get educated.

For instance, an influential figure and activist, Malala Yousafzai, has been using her voice to reach out and make a huge difference in the world. She lived in a place called Swat Valley where Taliban militants would ban many things and would enforce harsh punishments for those who don’t follow orders. In early 2009, Taliban militants prohibited girls from going to school and getting an education. Malala, believing that this was unfair, began blogging for the BBC about living under the Taliban’s threats and went under the name of “Gul Makai” to protect her identity. With a growing platform, Yousafzai continued to speak about the right that all women have to receive an education. Most teen activists put up with abuse and it makes things challenging to keep on going.The Taliban started to take down signs at Malala’s school.Malala believes in girls should go to school , so then she started to stand up for it. One day Malala was riding the bus home from school and the bus stopped one of the Taliban members got on the bus and asked if Malala was riding the bus all of her friends looked at her.then Malala got shot at point blank range.For protesting for girls to go to school.After a long recovery Malala started her ninth year of school in Birmingham England.Malala still stand outs and speaks out for girls to go to school.Now Malala has a malala fund to help

When Malala began speaking she was only 11 and was only trying to speak her mind. The dangerous terrorist group has invaded her home city, and she had the courage to speak up against them expecting no fame. The Taliban enforce strict Islamic law and destroyed or shut down girls' schools preventing women from getting and education. The people living here lived in constant fear but Malala was one of the few brave enough to fight it. Malala chose to continue going to school and even helped lead a group of girls to furthur their education, which is very dangerous considering her circumstances. The radical group soon strikes back, attempting to assassinate a only 15 y/o activist. Malala survived a shot to the head, and dident let that stop her and dident let that stop her from advocating for womens education. Malala is a great activist for our world. For example, she has a big part of the inspiration for education. In her homeland, Taliban told girls they weren’t allowed to go to school or dance, play outside, sing etc. She believed girls had much of a right to go to school as boys do. Malala started to go to the boys school as one of her own rights. At this point, the Malala become a target to the Taliban. Malala lived through one of the most tragic events of her life, getting shot by the Taliban. For many years the Taliban wanted to kill Malala. The Taliban ordered schools to close, girls not being able to sing or do any kind of music. In May of 2009, Malala, was identified and was put on the New York's Times documentary. She gave speeches and was on television. Though Malala lived through these challenges, she showed a lot of courage, fighting against the Taliban and everyone’s education.
