One word I found difficult from the first two paragraphs of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.‘s "I Have a Dream" speech was the word ‘manacles‘. "One hundred years later the life of the Negro is still badly crippled from the manacles of segregation and the chains of discrimination." At first I did not understand what the word ‘manacles‘ had meant.
