Management role - store manager:
Leadership & Management skills – For a manager within Tesco these two combined skills are the most important within the store as the store manager is in charge of the day-to-day operations of the store and how well/smoothly the store is run. Failure to have these could lead a lack of control of staff and the store, which could in the long haul lead to loss of money if problems arrive.
Experience in the job – The candidate for the job will almost certainly need prior experience in a similar sort of management role, as they will already have had experience in the role they will not need the training as they are already prepared, meaning that Tesco will not have to pay on money on training or waste time/resources on getting them up to standard.
Knowledge of the company – The manager has the highest responsibility within the store so need to make sure they know exactly what they are speaking about, things like knowledge or products, returns, deliveries and all other services that Tesco offer such as self-service. As a manager, they are responsible for all the staff in the store any issue that a staff member has with a product that goes to the manager it is vital that the manager is aware of the product.
Initiative & motivating/motivated – These are basic requirements for a store manager they have to be able to act on their on initiative and act on any opportunities. They have to be able to motivate their team members if the

As a Naval Officer I had the opportunity to experience both leadership and management. Today's Navy operates with fewer people and resources than before. Therefore, leadership and management are more important than ever. Very early in my career I was taught leadership and as I advanced through the ranks I experienced management.
Also the managers are also stakeholders, because they cope the salaries and also the performance of Tesco. The standards of the business need to be achieved efficiently all the time in order to make sure Tesco be successful. The managers run the staff and make sure the name of the business is respectable by having good customer service. If they do not do their job properly, then something may could go wrong or not be able to make enough profit and in this way Tesco will not be efficient because of this the managers have a big importance on Tesco.
To organize and prioritize the current and future projects in the pipeline in a way that fits into the PMB budget of $5B, and ensures projects that increase sales, growth, and stockholder value are of top priority, whereas projects that are not beneficial are either put on hold or discarded.
Employers also want professional employees, that make the business look professional and themselves. This doesn’t only mean dressing smartly and appropriately, but how you interact with customers and clients. A candidate of Tesco would need the ability to observe and raise professional standards, which means they would have to observe the professional feel of the company, and apply it to themselves, making sure every customer is satisfied, even if it seems a lot of effort.

I chose to interview Regina Geis, who holds the administrative role as acting supervisor for the County Mental Health adult day program, which provides services for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Ms. Geis has held this position for 15 months. This is her first managerial position within a human service agency. Her style of management has changed over this short period of time. She feels that she is now more direct with her direction with staff. She stated, “Maybe now I come across as a little bit cold. But I have learned that I now have to use the least amount of words to get my point across.”
Tesco monitor the performance of their team members in a number of ways. For team members, they would be evaluated on their sales figures. For example, with the employees that work on the fresh produce section, you can monitor how much they have sold in a day so customer service skills would be vital in this. As a sales assistant, their customer service would need to be at an exceptionally high standard because they are the face of the business and would be representing them, as well as aiming to promote their product or service to as many customers as possible. Customers value high quality and politeness so therefore, this would definitely boost any sales figure in any department.
As I climb the Hierarchy’s ladder with the rise of District Manager for the new Dunkin’ Donuts stores, several factors must be acknowledged, analyzed, promoted, and executed. Opening new stores requires innovative ideas, being ahead of the game with the newest trends, and stabilizing the stores for the least amount of turnovers. Managing stores also means maintaining respect while coaching is vital. This requires feedback on both upward and downward channels of communication. For the purpose of this paper, Dunkin’ Donuts will be assessed and evaluated based on its job and organizational designs, criteria for recruiting and selecting for optimal efficacy, and appropriately training and appraising employees.
Managers make many decisions every day. Thankfully there are many tools available to a manager as they make these decisions. Tiffany is a General Manager of a franchise in the quick service restaurant industry. She is faced with decisions dozens of times in one day. A large portion of the decisions that she is faced with are made to solve structured problems, however, sometimes an unstructured problem does arise that she needs to address. As well as solving problems Tiffany must also make plans to in order to have structure and organization to achieve the goals set forth by herself and the company that she works for. Looking at some of the decisions that Tiffany has had to make recently it can been seen how she goes about solving
The purpose of Tesco is to sell every day necessities to the whole population such as food, clothes, electric goods such as well as
Many organizations and establishments have philosophies in how an organization is to be functioning and which positions are necessary to execute the plan. One of the crucial positions that make the establishment function is that of a Supervisor. The term supervisor is a word with Latin roots which means “to look over,” however, a supervisor is viewed as a person who is an immediate overseer to an employee at a workplace. The supervisor is the person an employee would directly report to for any work related situation. A supervisor plays an essential part of the management team that gives an organization purpose and leadership by being responsible for employees’ progress and productivity (Bittel & Newstrom, 1992).
