Internal Strengths and Weaknesses The internal factors may be viewed as strengths or weaknesses depending upon their impact on the organization 's objectives. What may represent strengths with respect to one objective may be weaknesses for another objective. SWOT Once a manager has considered external opportunities, threats, internal Strengths and weaknesses they can look at the company’s strength, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT). SWOT is used in the analysis for strategic planning. A SWOT analysis must first start with defining a desired end state or objective. A SWOT analysis may be incorporated into strategic planning. After SWOT is considered the company has to look into how the plan will be implemented. Implementation A company can have a good plan in place, but it is not finished. The company still has to consider how this plan will be out into place. Implementation is a plan within a plan. Companies must define the strategic implementation plan, access capabilities, create an implementation agenda, and create the implementation plan.
