The Day the Manchester Arena Was Bombed “ An eight-year-old little girl lost her life today,” my mom said as she looked up from the TV. “ She was having the time of her life and it was taken away from her.” May 22nd at an Ariana Grande concert, 22 people including kids, died due to a bomb that was placed at the busiest exit of that arena. That day made many people afraid to go to concerts, including me. It is the day people will remember for the rest of their life. It was the summer going into 9th grade, I was sitting on my couch scrolling through twitter. I kept seeing people post “Pray for Manchester” I was confused, so I decided to do some research on it. As I typed “ Manchester” on google, I saw that CNN had posted “ Manchester bombing,” and I was even more confused. When I clicked on the website and read that at the end of a Ariana Grande concert, suicide bomber Salman Abedi had taken his life as well as many others. I said to my mom,” How could someone do this to innocent people,” she responded with,” I don’t know but this should never happen.” As I scrolled through twitter and I saw pictures and videos and I was in shock. …show more content…
In the video you could also see people in panic running to find the nearest exit. Also I kept seeing post of people searching for their children in hospitals, some parents went home that night not knowing where their children were or if they were even alive and some went home knowing they were never gonna see their child alive again. Another picture that I saw was of a girl, she had blood running down her arm and couldn't walk, she was one of the lucky ones that had survived. I had read another article which said that more than 240 emergency calls were made, 60 ambulances, and 400 police officers were
I learned quite a bit about the psychological impact of the Boston Marathon Bombing. After researching the effects, I realized how much trauma these innocent people went through during a moment that was supposed to be joyous. People that were healthy and filled with life were either severely injured or had there life taken away by a senseless act. Some of the injured victims will never be able to walk again, others, never able to see their loved ones again. Martin Richard, an 8-year old boy whose life was taken during the attack, will never get to see his family one more time. The amount of grief the Tsarnev brothers caused can never be taken back and it has left a psychological effect on the viewers and the victims – runners, adults and children.
An example of this was the Haymarket bombing towards the Chicago police during the pace of events. The bombing’s hurt workers’ rights and limited the union use of mass strikes. The rally began peacefully in the evening of May 4. Spies, Albert Parson and Samuel Fielden spoke to the crowd which was estimated to be about 3000 persons. A home-made bomb with a brittle metal casing filled with dynamite and ignited by a fuse, was thrown into the path of the advancing police. Its fuse briefly sputtered, then the bomb exploded, killing policeman Mathias J. Degan with flying metal fragments and mortally wounding six other officers. The police assumed that an anarchist had thrown the bomb as part of a planned conspiracy; their problem was how to prove
On 4/24/15, a body was discover by the MA local police in an alley, there were signs of torture although that was no the cause of death, the cause of death was a shot to the back of the head execution style, the victim was Senator Rick Khoper (RK). Khoper was the one of the many senators of the city of Boston, he was the kind of guy who would do anything necessary to get money, become as rich as possible. He had been helping the Russian mob to do money laundering among other illegal actives, like prostitution, drug trafficking and others, although he never did any of it, he helped by facilitating the process on how to do it and by alerting them of any danger. But all of this was about to change.
The Birmingham Church bombing occurred on September 15, 1963. The bomb exploded on a Sunday morning before church services at the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama, a church with a mostly black congregation. It was also served as a meeting place for civil rights leaders. Four young girls were killed and many others were injured in the explosion. Outrage over this incident and the clash between protesters and police helped draw national attention to the dangerous struggle for African American civil rights.

The Oklahoma City Bombing was a significant event in the history of terrorism in the United States. On April 19, 1995, Timothy McVeigh detonated a powerful vehicle-borne explosive device in front of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. The blast killed 168 people, including 19 children, and hundreds of people were injured. Roughly one third of the federal building was destroyed, and many neighboring buildings were also destroyed or damaged. The bombing was considered the deadliest domestic terror attack in U.S. history (FBI, "Terror"). As a result, the way people viewed bombings and terrorism in general greatly changed.
The unfortunate event that took place on April 19, 1995 was a day that would change history throughout the nation in an unimaginable way due to the tragic circumstances that unfortunately unfolded. The Oklahoma City Bombing impacted the United States greatly because something of such devastation had never before occurred in this way up until that point in American history. This in fact would be an event that no one anticipated, no one knew anything of, but it would certainly be an eye opening day and a call for change.
Four years later on October first, 2017 tragedy struck. Just about an hour or two into the concert people started hearing loud bangs. These attacks destabilized The Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, and Great Britain as a whole. While the motivation behind these attacks was ultimately intended to lead to the unification of Ireland, the reality was the erosion of local and international sympathy and support for the IRA. As they were showing videos that had been shared about the shooting a wave of sadness hit me because they amazing city that I had been to was attacked with a massacre. I immediately called my family to see if they had any more information than the news did because they live there and 3 of my cousins are surgeons at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, their area of specialties are General, Pediatric, And cardiothoracic surgery. Like every other hospital, they were jam packed to full capacity so they wouldn’t answer their phone so that kind of gave me anxiety because I didn’t know if they were safe or not, but eventually they gave me a call back and told me everything they knew which gave me an advantage of knowing what was going on. So once I could comprehend everything that was happening it kind of made me relax just a tiny bit but not too much because it still had happened and it was bad.
I am thankful today that none of these people were seriously injured or ever missing, because I know that is not the case for everyone. As goes for how it impacted the world, I think that it shows us that accidents can happen at anytime to anyone, even to the most experienced of people.
