Mandatory Vaccine-Specific Research

I think that vaccines should not be required and required. There are some people that think they should be required. I will be giving you evidence to why they shouldn’t be required. It will consists of the risk and concerns of requiring vaccines.
The main reason why they shouldn’t be required is because, we don’t know all the factors that could be explored when you get a vaccine. In 2012 the Institute of Medicine (IOM) published a report about the subject. Saying “Both epidemiologic and mechanistic research suggests that most individuals who experience an adverse reaction to vaccines have a pre-existing susceptibility. These predispositions can exist for a number of reasons – genetic variants (in human or microbiome DNA), environmental exposures, …show more content…

Which may lead to unwanted risks and effects of the vaccine. In 2013 the IOM Released another report saying Most vaccine-related research focuses on the outcomes of single immunizations or combinations of vaccines administered at a single visit. Although each new vaccine is evaluated in the context of the overall immunization schedule that existed at the time of review of that vaccine, elements of the schedule are not evaluated once it is adjusted to accommodate a new vaccine. Thus, key elements of the entire schedule – the number, frequency, timing, order and age at administration of vaccines – have not been systematically examined in research …show more content…

They should be left to the parents and caregivers of the child. When the child is over 18 then they will be able to get vaccines if it may please them. Ron Paul, a doctor and former US representative in Texas wrote an article in 2011. He said “Government Vaccines - Bad Policy, Bad Medicine”. I agree with this because there are too many people that would rather have them be the same as they have had in the past. Rather than changing that to be required. Yes, they are required in some state buildings. They just want kids to be safe and not susceptible to any diseases they might contract. You can’t stop the common cold and you can’t stop the flu from spreading around schools across the state.
Another reason I found vaccines to not be required is that they are unnatural. Natural immunity is better for you. Vaccines (Depending on how weak the virus is.) may not help the body be able to fight it at all. I feel that you should have to get sick to be able to be immune (Less susceptible to getting sick.) to that strand of the virus. There are also so many strands of a single virus that a vaccine won’t wipe them all out. It is basically natural selection too. If you are healthy and rarely ever get sick. It will be more likely you will survive. Without vaccines there would be antibiotics to make you
