Mansfield Public Schools’ Technology Planning Committee has developed the following vision statement to guide its work in creating a five-year strategic plan for technology implementation:
As described in the overall mission of the Mansfield Public Schools, the purpose of education is to prepare students to be productive and caring adults. Within this context, we believe that technology is a tool for learning that expands our instructional repertoire and is the vehicle that maximizes the capacity of all teachers and learners. It is the vision of Mansfield Public Schools that students be engaged in a stimulating academic environment and a challenging curriculum that is student-centered and focused on inquiry-based learning.
Specifically,
In order to implement an action plan that integrates technology and accommodates diverse student populations, I first create a shared vision using data gathered from observations, surveys, and interviews and researched literature and a Current Reality Report/SWOT Analysis report. The Current Reality Report/SWOT Analysis report demonstrates my ability to facilitate the design, development, implementation, communication, and evaluation of technology-infused strategic plans because I was able to design and develop a report using data from surveys and interviews from various stakeholders after evaluating the School District’s Three Year Technology plan as well as my school’s School Improvement Plan. Using the ISTE’s Essential Conditions for successful technology integration and the ISTE Lead & Transform Diagnostic Tool as a guide, I was able to determine that my school has weakness and threats that need to be
Instructional design allows teachers to focus on the need of their students, and become more involved with designing instructional activities to ensure students are reaching the learning objective. “Specifically, in recent years, national initiatives for educational reform have generated support for both teacher-centered instruction and activity-oriented, student-centered methods of teaching that stress meaningful learning applied to real-world problems.” (Morrison et al.,2013. p.2013) In order to effective teach, it is vital assess the needs for teachers and students in their learning environment. There is a lack of technology in Khepera Charter School. Updated technological resources will allow students to be more engaged in learning, and teachers will have resources needed to compliment and differentiate instruction.
As part of the community’s growth, large technology firms moved into the community and while they were willing to assist local schools, they also expected high school graduates to be skilled technology workers (MacDonald, 2006). To meet this need, the school board adopted a goal of providing a technology resource teacher in every school within the next three years. In addition, the school board had a five-year plan to increase and support instruction and instructional leadership in schools and improve student assessment scores on state exams in mathematics. In two years they planned to reduce language

According to ELCC Standard 2.4, “Candidates understand and can promote the most effective and appropriate district technologies to support teaching and learning within the district..” In order to enhance my own knowledge in technology, I interviewed the Director of Education and Information Technologies, attended workshops on technology, conducted my own research, and explored technology available to staff in the Middle School.
This paper is a personal technology plan that includes my personal philosophy on integrating technology in the classroom as well as my professional goals concerning technology in the classroom. My Mission and Vision Statement are included as well as a plan for communications, integrating technology, software to support assessment, and technology ethics for a strong guideline in the classroom. Although this plan will need to be revised as advances in technology are made this is strong ground work that I can build on as a professional educator. Using this plan I can ensure that my students are using the latest
This year my district is required to submit a new technology plan. The final draft of this plan has been completed and this needs analysis focuses specifically on “Objective 3.4: Increase the number of teachers with updated websites meeting district standards as recommended by ISTE-T”.
The education world has been greatly influenced by rapidly changing technology and the increasing availability of information. Schools have advanced by leaps and bounds when it comes to incorporating technology into the learning environment, however, many more advances need to be made. In all areas of the country, educators are trying to help students keep up with technology, but there are more changes that are essential for preparing the next generation for the future.
Need to order a pizza, just go online. Need to talk someone, just text them. Want to buy some clothes, just go online. Technology is everywhere, and will only become more and more prominent. In Doulos, technology is rarely used and the old fashioned way of learning is enforced; handwritten notes and lectures. The computer lab is often over booked and students are unable to use computers when needed. Doulos not being a technology based school has many negative effects on students who are planning to attend college.
The complex social and historical foundations of education are rooted in the need to create a population of citizens capable of contributing to the continuing economic and political stability of our nation. First we were an agricultural society, then industrial, and now we are educating students for futures with that are yet unknown (explainvisualthinking, 2007). The new dynamic, created by the recent and rapid expansion of technology driven globalization has created the compelling need for technology infused education in our schools (Friedman, 2005). As an educational technology leader, I collaborate with other educators and families to create technology initiatives that will support educational technology in our schools.
Mission Statement: As an educator I will provide for students the opportunity to make a positive difference in their lives to help them accomplish unexpected goals. I will enhance learning to support my students in achieving their highest potential by integrating technology into the curriculum. I will integrate conceptual technology learning techniques that will implement concrete knowledge of technology that will emphasize mastery of understanding. Through committed support from educators, faculty, staff, parents, and the community, I will advance learning to support my students. This will allow students to become confident, creative, motivated, technology-ready students. I will provide leadership to

John Dewey, a leader for the progressive movement in education in the United States once said, “If we teach today as we taught yesterday, we rob our children of tomorrow.”
"Technology has a crucial role to play in our schools. Unfortunately, it has little to do with the integrated learning systems,
