Wednesday 15th July – Perceptions of Good and Evil Being described as a good individual means, you have listened to the word of God and have portrayed the traits that he shared with you. Being good means 3 things. “Act Justly” - You need to be fair and honest with EVERY person and seek to bring justice to those who are mistreated or taken advantage of. “Love Mercy” – people all mess up, and when they do people appreciate someone who is sympathetic and forgiving. Forgiveness doesn’t mean consequences are removed. Forgiveness though doesn’t request revenge, it seeks advice and helps to put them back on track. “Walk humbly with your God” – When someone has no fear, that person makes themselves God and will rationalize all kinds of evil. But to live in a way in which you think is pleasing God, is a good way to live. Evil people are those who are unable to show empathy …show more content…
I believe conscience, is the ability for a human being, to distinguish the moral decision of right and wrong. Having conscience also shares a wired complex of ethical, and moral principals that people show in their action towards one another. If people constantly choose to do wrong, they have no conscience of there actions. Whereas when people constantly choose to do right, and follow the rules of god, they have a conscience which will guide them into the right direction, and make them into a better person. 1.1 Explain the importance of a holistic approach to assessment and planning of care or support.
2. Working according to the agreed ways means following the organisation’s policy and procedures in relation to pressure areas. It also means following the individual care plans and respecting the instructions in place. For example making sure a resident is turned every two hours, applying Cavilon cream on areas; fill in turning charts, prompt fluid intake. Under the duty of care a care assistant must always be aware of and raise concerns regarding possible pressure areas. Always record information in care plans accurately and in confidentiality.
“Assess own leadership behaviours and potential in the context of a particular leadership model and own organisation’s working practices and culture using feedback from others”
It gives the opportunity to provide structured feedback and reflection and recognise ay achievements as well as identify any performance issues.
Looking at the outcomes, which are the result of the support plan, these include inputs, outputs and outcomes. In simplified terms, these items look like:

The Catechism of the Catholic Church defines conscience as, “ a judgment of reason whereby the human person recognizes the moral quality of a concrete act that he is going to perform, is in the process of performing, or has already completed” (CCC, 1778). There are other dictionary definitions of conscience, but they do not take Catholic morals into consideration. While conscience can be affected by many deteriorating factors like peer pressure, the Catholic Church provides methods on how a conscience should act. There are many examples of ethical problems people face in their everyday lives, and techniques like the SEER method help them get through those moral dilemmas. There are many things people assume a conscience is and is not. The Catholic
Our conscience is a moral guide that we are equipped with and use to determine whether to do right or wrong and to follow the rules or do what you know is right. The conscience of a person is also what holds them back from doing things that they should not do because the person thinks about the consequences and the outcome if they had followed through with their original plans. For example, in “To Kill a Mockingbird” when Cecil Jacobs provoked Scout, Harper Lee described how Scout stood her ground and did not fight him, “I drew a bead on him remembered what Atticus had said then dropped my fist and walked away... It was the first time I ever walked away from a fight” (Lee, 102).If you have ever had a difficult challenge or obstacle suddenly placed in front of you and you must overcome it in order to succeed, your task, then during your journey when you feel like giving up, your conscience makes you think about what would happen if you quit “And so hold on when there is nothing in you/Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!” (Kipling,
This specific Christian definition of conscience states: “conscience is an inner voice of special moral illumination or expertise and of incontrovertible moral authority, which reveals itself inwardly and unavoidably in consciousness and warns us to do good and avoid evil, and condemns us when we fail” (Lyons 481). This specific definition provides a road towards understanding in the complexity of the story. Also, in the plot of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, the protagonist, Sir Gawain, has many instances in which this particular definition is proven to be true, especially in relation to his “inner voice”.
I think a conscience is a inner feeling of what is right and what is wrong. I believe that all people are born without a conscience and majority develop one, but not all people. For instance, I think sociopaths don't have a conscience. I think as we age we develop a conscience. That is why children kick, bite, or pull hair and don't feel bad about it.
To begin with, the definition of good is to be desired or approved of. The definition of evil is profoundly immoral and malevolent. Luke 6:45 explains the difference between the good and
Conscience, as defined by the Merriam – Webster Dictionary, is “the part of the mind that makes you aware of your actions as being either morally right or wrong”. It’s that tiny voice inside your head that tells you if what you’re about to do, what you’re doing or what you’ve done is essentially right or not. A lot of people nowadays tend to ignore this for fear of being ridiculed or judged by other people, even if what they did was actually right.
Defining a good person is difficult because I don’t want to put constraints around it. To be morally good, to me at least, a person needs to try to be moral, by whatever standards fit his/her own definition. He/she also needs to understand the personality traits that set him/her back, and in doing so, he/she can make an effort to remedy them.
