The article in which this assignment will cover three different aspects of marketing involves the National Football League known as the N.F.L. and a very popular holiday. Since the start of the fall season, many fans from all over the country tune in every week, mainly Sunday’s to watch their favorite football team play against other teams to obtain their ticket to the famous Super Bowl championship. Concept 2: The DAGMAR Approach When setting an objective there are many approaches a company can take to fully make sure their ad is achieving the goal it was meant to set. With the DAGMAR approach defining is very important, and the following take part in it: defining target audience, desired percentage change and the time frame for change. It was clear during the Duracell commercial the ad was targeting men, because the majority of men are into sports. There is a chance that it could also attempt to target kids. Children view the ad playing and if they need batteries for their toys, it’s likely they’ll ask the parents for Duracell. In terms of the desire of percentage, because it’s a new strategy, it’s being evaluated through a viewer’s study, therefore it is unknow as to what the percentage may have been. The time frame for change ties into the study, but the ad was short and to the point that the company was going for, the timing couldn’t have been any better.
