1.0 Background and rationale
New Look is an international retailer which has 613 stores in the UK and a website whereby it sells their collections (How New Look used mobile marketing 2011). Moreover, New Look ships to more than 1120 countries worldwide from which it gains the 10% of their profits (Who are we? n.d.). It was founded in 1969, in Taunton, UK, where their first store was opened. They have more than 800 stores in 23 countries such as Africa, the Middle East and Asia (We’re Global n.d) and other 125 franchise stores in Armenia, Bahrain, Malta, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and more (Annual report 2014:6). Furthermore, their total sales were £1.528.8 millions and their gross profit was £805.9 million in 2014, which both were higher than last year’s amount, £1.484.0 million and £785.1 million respectively (Annual report 2014:9). New Look is UK’s largest clothing and accessories retailer for the under 35 (Annual report 2014:12). Moreover, one of their strategies is “international expansion” (Annual report 2014:21). New Look received many awards such as Britain’s favorite fashion brand in the Fashion Brands index, most stylish women’s high heels category at PETA’s UK Vegan Fashion Awards and more (Annual report 2014:38).

2.0 Research Objectives
2.1 To assess information about the customers for the last six months that will help for the establishment of their age range, their gender and where they come from.
This can help the company to find if any of their customers are near the age of 55 and it can be controlled through application forms.

2.2 To find out whether their customers are satisfied from the available stock or whether they prefer rivals’ stock.
With this information, they can get a good competitive intelligence to get new ideas and also to identify what problems they might face and what improvements they may need. This information can be collected through feedback.

2.3 To find out what style people over 55 are more interested in purchasing.
