Abstract
Marketing globally is a necessity for any major company, Coca-Cola is one of the largest globally known companies. It was in 1923 that Robert Woodruff, chairman of Coca-Cola Company recognized the need to aggressively market his company. Mr. Woodruff was quoted as saying the “a Coca-Cola should always be within arm’s reach of desire”. It is Mr. Woodruff marketing vision that started the soft drink mogul that is the Coca-Cola Company. This paper examines marketing strategies then and now that built Coca-Cola global presence.

Coca-Cola is the most recognized soft drink brand in the world. It’s hard to find a country that doesn’t sell Coca-Cola. The Coca-Cola Company sells half of all soft drinks consumed throughout the world.
