In the field of marketing, there are two major objectives. To first figure out what a customer might be in need of. Once that is established, the second main goal is to come up with creative ways to sell customers products. Marketing is all about searching for a purpose of a product and figuring out how to best brand a product for maximum profits. This can be done in many forms. Although, the most common way of persuading a client would be through verbally presenting your thoughts through a conversation or idea pitch. Marketing can be done well through aspects of writing. Peggy Lux, a freshman business seminar profession and a previous Eli Broad College of Business advisor, states that in her years of experience in the business field has allowed to fully understand marketing in many format. She believes that marketing is heavily based off of personal presence, and giving off this presence can be done through well writing. Michigan State junior Julian Makowski ending his third year of marketing classes speaks highly of the process of marketing through writing. He reciprocates Peggy’s ideas of being professional can be in any formats. It is not uncommon for someone in the marketing line of work to sort through ideas and propositions before they would meet with a customer. This is often where a marketer would incorporate writing into their professions. In order to effectively undertake market research on customer behaviour; such as expected prices, how they react to certain methods of research and what kind of care do the customers expect after the purchase is made, it would be best to use observation along with focus groups. Surveys, if used, should be done face to face by door knocking as it is more convenient and has a high response rate. Most of the businessmen consider market research the key to a successful business empire. It is quite essential to conduct a thorough research to analyze the prospects of an existing or new product. A well-conducted research proves fruitful in evaluating the business situations, the potential sales of a product, prospective customers and so forth.
Dexit Inc. is a business that focuses on electronic payment systems for retail transactions. The nature of the business would start with purchases and tinkle down to petty cash purchases, pre paid purchases, and electronic purchases (Exhibit 1) .The Dexit platforms run on Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology. Consumers would use their “tags” at a retailer store’s terminal. This terminal is linked to Dexit’s server which would be able to read the “tag”. From here the server will be able to go into the consumer’s prepaid account, which would limit the consumer’s sending to the amount within the account. There are different types of research which can be used to get the information needed for marketing research. Primary research is information which you conduct yourself when you cannot gain information from secondary research which is readily available. This information is very useful because you go the results yourself and you are able to give your own opinion of results which you have obtained. Primary research is more expensive than secondary research because you have to collect the equipment by yourself and set up the different methods of obtaining your information. Secondary research is information which has been conducted previously by someone else, it is of great use as well because it saves time as it is ready for you to use and is

This assignment is about marketing, where I will produce a marketing strategy for a new or existing product. This unit introduces the major principle and functions of marketing; I will look on customer needs, and creating a suitable strategy or marketing mix, which will satisfy customer needs. In this unit I will experience the marketing process from carrying out initial research about a market, investigating the principles of functions of marketing and the way in which it contributes generating income/profit in a business. Marketing is the process of planning and executing the conception, pricing, promotion, and distribution of ideas, goods, and services to create exchanges that satisfy individual and organizational goals.
