Marla is a talented artist but, is not a prodigy. She can not explain parts of her painting, video footage of Marla painting are different styles and her family may be helping her with her paintings. When Stuart Simpson explains how he saw a door and the baby's head. Marla not only says she did not see it but also cannot explain what goes into her paintings. Simpson is in an expert in this field as an art critic. If an expert can see it should not the creator be able to see something. Another reason Marla is not a prodigy is she has a different painting style in the ones we have footage than the ones Amir did not videotape. In the Backyard Painting, Marla is shown just swiping paint around into what looks like a flowers and Suns. While in Zane
Upon arrival at the MacLaren exhibition center in Barrie Ontario, I was very surprised to be surrounded unusual art that have been all created by Canadian artists. Their was a wooden granary on the floor resembling world war 2 and and some unique maps that were written in words. Many of their painting and sculptures resembled to the history of Canada going back towards the first nations and both world wars. The MacLaren Art Centre has been made to honour Maurice MacLaren, a famous artist who bequest Throughout looking at every piece, you could see the messages they portray to the audience and how much of impact it has within our canadian history. Approaching an interesting piece, it was Bison skulls skillfully fabricated together by exhaust parts, stacked high like a mountain.
The brush that felt glazed with the abundant horde of a thousand corn leaves rusting from left to right stroked the blank canvas with an orange that reminds me of the Arizonan sunset. Another stroke and the background color of the canvas caught no sign of white. The neutral vibrancy of the painting that was the color of a broad lion was complete and was set for the next coat of paint.

A prodigy or not is she? That is what everyone seems to be asking... Marla Olmstead began to paint at about the age of two, after wanting to try it out after seeing her father, Mark, paint, as he had somewhat recently gotten into as a hobby. Her father eventually gave her a canvas one day and let her go at it, to see what she was capable of making. Vivid, energetic, and abstract paintings came about from the little girl’s brush strokes and finger prints.
The artwork that I did was by an artist named Sue Andrew. Sue makes paintings of beautiful Paraguayan landscapes and tropical scenes. Her artwork has won many awards and she has sold some of her artwork. Her paintings include portraits and landscapes. The painting that I remade was inspired by the trip the Sue took to Paraguay, it shows her sense of the country and how she believes that Paraguay is magical. The painting is very colorful and captures the true image of Paraguay and how beautiful the place is. I chose this painting because I thought that all of Sue’s paintings were very imaginative and creative. Sue’s paintings were very different than the other paraguayan paintings.
Jordan Casteel’s second solo exhibition at the Sargent’s Daughters gallery, “Brothers”, seems to fit perfectly in its temporary home. The New York based artist’s previous exhibition at the gallery used single portrait paintings to depict black men unclothed, both literally and metaphorically. In the “Brothers” exhibition, she further develops her views of the lives and relationships of black men by exploring the relationships they have with each other through group portraits.

The colors that are used in Falguiere’s oil painting help to create a mood using an intense earthy color palette with various analogous colors. The analogous colors that are used in the work of art vary between yellow and red, they are more natural to represent colors skin tone and dark clothing and a more idealistic space. The colors have a great intensity with the red being very deep and even the yellows and browns of the flesh are very bright. The bright colors bring focus to the foreground and the darker more muted colors are in the background. This is done by the artist to add focus to the composition. The pattern with color is that the foreground is lighter and brighter so lighter colors are used, with the audience they are more muted
Caillebotte was noted for his early interest in photography as an art form, and often liked to incorporate traits from photography into his work. His fascination with photography is evident in this painting, looking closely towards the centre of the composition it seems to bulge: an effect created by a camera lens which Caillebotte reproduced within the painting.
I love this work by Agnes Martin. It almost moves me to tears. I am fascinated by its delicacy, poignancy, and precision. Below is how it became one of my favorite works in the museum. I hope that as a docent I will be there when the right tour group or visitor experiences it in the same way.
In his 1873 portrait, The Dying Mazzini (30 1/8” X 39 ½”, Providence, RISD Museum), Italian realist painter Silvestro Lega captures the final hours of Mazzini Morente’s life. In this painting, rather than depict the terror of death, a topic which people dislike and always associate with separation, fear, agony and sadness, Lega shows an incredibly peaceful and serene scene of dying Mazzini. With his eyes closed, Mazzini lies on a bed and is propped up against a pair of white pillows. His whole body is wrapped up in a piece of gray plaid shawl with only his hands exposed—left hand softly resting on his right. In this essay, I will show you how Lega
The Melrose wing of European art in the Art gallery of South Australia, explores themes which enlighten viewers of the development of Western art, since antiquity.
Throughout the history, terrorism and revolution might took away the prospect from people, while the corrupt society forced people into the inextricable predicament. The innocent people always struggled with the darkness and the plight. Political, social, and economic instability created a lack of faith in the new government and a sense of helplessness among its citizens. Artists often conveyed this collective fear of the unknown in paintings of the natural world. A famous French Artist, Chevalier Féréol de Bonnemaison (French, ca. 1770-1827) who painted Young Woman Overtaken by a Storm, 1799. Oil on canvas. I think that masterpiece was impactive because he portrays a hopeless women centered around dark scenery during the frightening time of
