Masconomet Regional School District is an amazing learning institution filled with passionate educators, supportive parents and engaged students. As a result, I have loved every day of being the Principal of Masconomet Regional High School. I need to apologize to the Masconomet community for the choices I made in not citing writing that was not my own. As a leader, ownership and accountability is necessary in this instance. Thus, I resign as Principal of Masconomet Regional High School effective Thursday, March 23, 2017. I know that Masconomet Regional High School will continue to grow under the solid leadership of Acting Principal Peter Delani, the faculty and staff at Masconomet. Masconomet will continue to be a wonderful place of
St. Augustine, Florida – May 10, 2020 – During the ABC School Board meeting on May 10, 2020, the board appointed Dr. Jamie Walker-Davidson as the new superintendent of schools. She will be stepping up to replace Dr. David Romano, who will be retiring after 20 years serving the ABC school district. Board President Matthew Barnes stated, “We are excited that we were able to fill this position with such a competent and valuable candidate.” Dr. Walker-Davidson officially takes office on July 1, 2020, however she has already begun working with Dr. David Romano, the staff, and school board for a seamless transition.
Serving the district was a job Ritchie said was enjoyable. “You have a fantastic school district, and I am extremely impressed with the students and staff. I was fortunate to work with the board, which is truly focused on what is best for the district and community. You are in able hands moving forward.”
The first changes I would at Metro High School make revloves around positive reinforcements to change the current school culture.* I would post the names of students on the wall of the main entrance for twenty days of good attendent. Then every three months of good attendent I would give those students a ceritification of proud student of
Prior to coming to Hoke County, Dr. Williamson had already served in a plethora of diverse roles in his educational career (e.g., teacher, assistant principal, vocational-educational director, principal, director of secondary and middle school education, director of personnel, associate superintendent, and a boys and girls basketball coach), therefore becoming a superintendent was inevitable; the school board knew he could advance the Hoke County’s School System, however the “key” was: he was a willing vessel.
High School is an incredibly important period of life. It influences your social, academic, and personal life for four years, and prepares you for college and a career. This is the reason County Prep High School is my school of choice. County Prep's thriving social environment, challenging academic curriculum, and wide variety of electives will help me successfully carry out my plans for the future.
Last year, at Kingsland High School’s Graduation Ceremony, Josie Hinze not only receiveed her High School Diploma, but also her Associates of Arts Degree before even attending any college or university. Fast-forward to one year later, and seven Kingsland students will be graduating high school with both their High School Diploma and AA Degree thanks to the collaboration of Riverland Community College and Kingsland High School for allowing high school students to take college-level courses in high school and receive college credit for them. Not only that, but there are several others who will be graduating Kingsland High School with transferrable college credit so their first few semesters might
This interview was conducted with Wes Jensen the current principal of Mountain View Middle School. He has been the principal at his current school for two years, and was vice principal of the Blackfoot High School for two years. Before he became an administrator he was a classroom teacher for seven years, giving him 11 years of experience in education. The school has a very diverse population comprised of many different ethnicities including Native American, Hispanic, and Caucasian. The economic situations range from wealthy to highly impoverished. As the principal of this school he is a very professional man who holds high expectations for his staff.
Thirty–nine members of Mrs. Penny Oss’ morning English classes at McAlester High School recently traveled to Tulsa to tour Tulsa Community College—SE campus. TCC is one of the best values among Oklahoma’s state–supported colleges and universities. TCC has four campuses in Tulsa. McAlester GEAR UP students toured the Southeast campus, encircling a landscaped green space and campus ponds. There are nine buildings on the TCC–SE campus. What makes the campus unique is that the buildings are connected by a series of sky bridges seamlessly tying the campus together.
That system has negatively affected or will affect every student at the Matoaca Middle School, and will continue this downward spiral for the coming years. Furthermore, your actions caught us unprepared for the simple hostility displayed with your actions. The signatories pledge their dedication to the cause. We hope that you consider to agree to the outlined request, so that this is resolved quickly. The current system should be resigned to the dustbins of the school’s history, and we can move forward for the future
In the hypothetical case, the Rockshire High School official had reasonable cause to search Britney Sullivan’s cell phone for evidence that she and other students cheated on their AP History exam. The administrator suspects Britney because (1) the students scored extremely high on the AP History test (2) Britney has been in trouble in the past and is in the AP History class and (3) a teacher received a reliable tip from another student describing how the students cheated using social media. According to the Supreme Court case (New Jersey v. TLO, 469 U.S. 325 (1985).) the school administrator had the right to search the contents of the student's cell phone, since the administrator had reasonable cause to suspect the student of school policy infractions. The court’s decision in this case is that the student officials do not hold the same accountability of the police under search and seizure. Police are held to the strict accountability of probable cause while school officials according to the Supreme Court have only to prove reasonable cause. In this hypothetical case the supreme court would support the decision of the Rockshire High School administration to search a student's cell phone as evidence for cheating based on the fact that the administrator had evidence to support reasonable cause. The Supreme Court states, “reasonable grounds
I am from the Williamsville and am a product of the exceptional education provided by Williamsville Schools. I attended the Williamsville schools from Kindergarten to Grade 12. I admire the academic excellence of New York Education and I especially admire the Williamsville Central School District. It would be an honor to teach your students. I admire a district that maintains high educational standards and provides students with opportunities to meet academic and emotional needs.
As an experienced and energetic teacher at Picadome Elementary for the past 17 years, I am committed to high quality education for all children despite gender, socio-economic levels, race, ethnicities, and learning capabilities. I have sought leadership opportunities including serving on the SBDM and being chairperson of both the Budget and Needs Assessment committees. I worked closely with the Picadome leadership team and other SBDM members to ensure that budget decisions were based on achievement data and would increase student learning.
Medomak Valley High School, located in Waldoboro, ME, is the only high school in Maine School Administrative District #40 and serves students from Friendship, Waldoboro, Warren, Washington, and Union in midcoast Maine. For decades, the school district had two middle schools - A.D. Gray Middle School, which served students from Friendship and Waldoboro, and D.R. Gaul Middle School, which served students from Warren, Washington, and Union. In the fall of 2008, the year I started at Medomak Valley High School, the district opened Medomak Middle School to serve all seventh and eighth grade students in the district and closed A.D. Gray Middle School and D.R. Gaul Middle School. The new middle school was built at the Medomak Valley High
With Mr. DeVaughn having recently retired, a situation has arisen to myself and to the other members of this board; we must begin the search for a new principal of Saltillo High School (SHS). This will, however, not be as simple a task as one might think, as we cannot simply select any random individual. We must choose the individual who is most fit for the job of running a school such as ours, and I was lucky enough to have the privilege of being the student who was selected to voice my opinion on this matter. I believe that I speak for the entire student body when I say that the new principal must possess specific qualities if he or she is to get the job and excel in his or her position. I believe that I speak once again for the rest of my fellow students when I say that we must select an individual who will best represent SHS as a whole: someone who has professionalism, who has moral values, and who has ambition.
I have been afforded a magnificent opportunity to attend Milton Hershey School (MHS). MHS is a private, residential school that takes in underprivileged children and provides them with housing, clothing, food, medical aid, and a quality education - all at no cost to families. Upon my return to MHS , I would show my students that with grit, determination and trust in God that all things are possible and that the sky's the limit.
