In the public’s eye, The Freemasons have been a secret society that plans to control the world. In reality they are quite the opposite. Jasper Ridley took on the daunting task of trying to piece together the ancient history of the Freemasons. An interesting fact about Jasper is that he himself isn’t a Freemason. Some of my family members are Freemasons, and from an early age I was encouraged to try and become a Mason, so when this assignment rounded around I decided it was time to do some research about the group some of my family is associated with. In the Middle Ages the Freemasons were just a group traveling masons. The masons usually built cathedrals. Within this group of travelers were certain types of masons; hard hewers, rough masons, …show more content…
For working 14 hours in the summer the Masons were paid sixpence. But after some time the Masons started to get fed up with the pay they were receiving for their work, so they formed trade unions. The trade unions said that the Masons wouldn’t work until they were paid a certain amount, these amounts were sometimes over the legal maximum for the time. This made the trade unions illegal, so when meetings were arranged they had to be kept secret, this granted the masons massive bargaining power. As for the Mason’s lives after they were regulated, it was pretty strict. The masons had duties to certain people. The first was his duty to god, where they must accept the doctrines of the Catholic Church and reject all over heresies. The second was his duty to his master, he must not betray his master’s secrets, seduce his master’s wife, daughter, or maidservant, cannot “maintain any disobedient argument” with his master, dame, or any other freemason. Finally there was his duty to his king, the masons had to obey his laws and his sovereignty. Over time, the Masons accepted and never challenged the Catholic beliefs. And they had their own patron saints, Saint John Baptist and Saint John the Evangelist. The Masons celebrated the feast days of Saint John the Baptist, June 24 and December 27.Also there was Saint Barbara who protected the Masons from lighting and the Four Crowned
Failing to Meet the Criteria of Adequacy/ Appropriateness: In Freemasonry, the Masonic Lodges has continued to maintain an old tradition of limiting membership in Freemasonry to only men. According to Masonic Service Association, to petition for membership, the petitioner must be "a man of legal age, good reputation, and possess a belief in God” (“Freemasonry and Brotherhood”). The majority of Freemasons today believe that the concept of women becoming Masons for any reason is an anathema. This is because the tradition is based on the historical all male only membership of stonemason’s guilds; not because of sexist motives (King, “What about Women in Freemasonry?”). However, Masons have been making membership possible for women today to play
One of the most controversial topics that seems interesting and occurs now on Earth is that people are being exploited and deceived. Earth is being assaulted and destructed day after day by one organization. The organization was created in 1717. They do not pray only for the father of Hebrew Scriptures, they worship the old gods of old mysteries. They believe that god was human and have created Jesus (Keohane, n.d). They were planning on achieving their goals. One of their goals is "to dominate the whole world by forming one government and to put the whole blame on the Jews in order that people will fall into the trap of following the Brotherhood" Moreover, they're aiming to take on or conquer the temple mount in Jerusalem, reconstruct it, then start what their work on what they are aiming for (Levin, n.d). It was introduced first in North America but its origins scheme was in England (Stewart, n.d). In addition, it was introduced by the liberal, and planned to vanish the flourishing Romanian lodges (Clark, 2012). This organization is called Freemasonry. Freemasonry is a fraternal organization that traces its origins to the local communities of stonemasons. "Freemasonry isn’t a religion, but when you read about it you'll find information from people who oppose masonry because they believe it’s a religion"(Fannin, n.d), all men of religion is accepted but they must believe in Deity. It’s also a structure of Christianity, and a principle of faith (Hall, n.d). Freemasonry was
Their fame and honor, despite being rooted in the business-like mentality characteristic of the Plaid Prohibition, was a rather anomalous one. The RGA and the Underground, as well as their rivals, have not yet set their sights in the state of Nebraska. But everything changed near the end of that same month, when forward elements from one of the RGA’s rivals, the Fellowship of Young Christians (FYC), decided to move into the region from neighboring Kansas. The FYC, led by an ambitious group of Protestant youth from the heart of the South, wanted in on the conflict where the Underground and the RGA were locked in an intense war waged against each other, and the Plaid Prohibition that was soon taken advantage of by such factions. As a result,
Mark Twain described a group of conspirators known as the “Majestic Clan”. The clan carried out John Murrell’s plans, meeting in the woods of Mississippi. “ In its great hollow, that John A. Murrell and his Clansmen met in grand council, and formed their dark plots, and concocted their hellish plans.”(Walker 97). He was convicted of slave stealing and sentenced to serve ten years in prison. The importance of this quote demonstrates the concept of stealing which is connected to my research paper about the Shergar conspiracy. Murrell not only held his own organization, but was a thief just like the IRA stealing Shergar. There is a distinct connection here between the Majestic Clan and the IRA both being secrecy organizations, but specifically
“Real joy comes not from ease or riches or from the praise of men, but from doing something worthwhile.” - Wilfred T. Grenfell. Helping people is not only a self satisfying experience, it is just a positive thing to do. Freemasons have a foundation of values that include charity, relief, and service to mankind. All of which are fulfilled through helping people.
The Hooded Truth: The 1920s Ku Klux Klan (1) Introduction Whether you call it a hate organisation or a terrorist movement, the Ku Klux Klan was one of the most influential groups of American history. More specifically, was the second Ku Klux Klan of the 1920s, with its extreme atrocities and passionate philosophy. In understanding its revival, the report will dwell on the ideologies that sparked the Klan’s evolution. The evolution of the 1920s, with which began with the former Imperial Wizard, Mr. William J. Simmons. This report will focus on how Simmons revived the Ku Klux Klan and what role did Edward Young Clarke as well as Mrs. Elizabeth Tyler have in its successful reign.
Most members of the Illuminati are also members in the highest ranks of numerous secretive and occult societies which in many cases extend straight back into the ancient world. The upper levels of the tightly compartmentalized Illuminati structural pyramid include planning committees and organizations that the public has little or no knowledge of. The upper levels of the Illuminati pyramid include secretive committees. With names such as: the Council of 3, the Council of 33, the Grand Druid Council, the Committee of 300, and the Committee of 500 among others.
Due to the implementation of continuous mistreatment of the people, the designers created multiple movements that would be used to explain some establishments. The trend of faithful impressions overthrown finding by the truthfulness resumed to manage. However, the understanding was increasingly gaining popularity. Some of the advanced formed some movement groups incorporated in confidentiality such as the illuminati of Bavaria. The illuminati were a network of the most knowledgeable associate of the population and often prosperity one who had some ownership of secrets and techniques for construction .
The group was founded in the year 1118 by Hugh de Payens, who later would become the first Grand Master of the Knight Templar. They are most widely recognized because of the red cross they wore on their tunics, though that right wasn’t given to the group until 1147 by Pope Eugene III (Biema). The knights were to protect people during their pilgrimage or travels to the Holy Land. The Knights had two groups.
The definition of the word cult has completely reversed from its original meaning. How did the term become such a widely debated “slippery” term? It has been a long road from its original meaning to its current polar opposite, but it has been greatly prodded along by society’s treatment of the term. The common stereotype of cults as secretive member in black cloaks has been long propagated by various mediums, leading to the contrast between common view and traditional definition.

As their membership and wealth continued to increase, so did their greed and tyranny. The days of protecting pilgrims had long since ended along with the ties to the Catholic Church's teachings and practices. They denied God and committed acts such as urinating on the symbol of the holy cross. The Templars were in touch with mystics and sorcerers belonging to various religions as well as the belief that Satan was the lord of our world. The pope at the time, Pope Clement V, had grown tired of the Templars and at the Council of Vienne in 1312, gave the orders to destroy the organization. The Templars were imprisoned, tortured and killed. By the early 14th century, the organization was for the most part eradicated (The Dark History of the Templars). However, in the late 1700's, stories of Templars doing heroic deeds in Scotland began to emerge. It is believed that these stories were from Scottish Freemasons who tried to make their society’s history more diverse (HowStuffWorks, Stephanie
For many years, the idea of the Illuminati has been the center of a long debate. Are they real? Who are they? Are there any facts or only false proofs? This specific subject remains an unsolved mystery till this day. Despite its existence for hundreds of years, no one has been able to answer all detailed questions on the matter. Even though the questions marks on the Illuminati have risen, research provides us with no more than enlightenment on the subject. The Illuminati, started with a group of elite intellectuals whose goal was to run the world and empower a ‘one world government’ by using similar rituals as the satanic ones. Some of you might say that they have failed to do so. However, after examining all the facts of that secret society, it has been found that they do in fact rule the world, starting with the banks, and moving on to the media, where they have infiltrated their symbols and hidden messages in movies, animated pictures designed for children, music we listen to everyday. Their messages are everywhere and can be seen by anyone. Their purpose is not to show them directly to the receiver,
Freemasonry principles and thought had a direct influence on the founders of America. The principles and thought were partially the basis for the desire of rebellion and independence. There have been many hints and minor discussions about the influence of Freemasonry and its association with the revolution and the founding of the United States. While the bulk of research and works do not specifically call it out, it is an underlying cause.
However, the most credible theory generally agreed upon amongst most Freemasons and Masonic Historians is that Freemasonry derived from the medieval stonemasons who constructed the great castles and cathedrals during the middle ages. Supporters of this theory suggest the stonemasons gathered in huts – later to be named lodges – to discuss and regulate their projects and crafts. Over time, these lodges became not only a place of meeting for the members of their guild, but a place to also initiate hold ceremonies new apprentices of the stonemasonry craft. In addition, new apprentices were taught a secret word, handshake, or phrase to use when greeting other masons, to prove that he was properly trained and that he was a member of a lodge. However, in the early 1600’s the lodges began to admit men who were not involved with the stonemasonry craft, but were gentlemen. These gentlemen masons, or speculative masons, were admitted more frequently over the course of the 1600’s, and as the century came to an end, the lodges no longer had any connection to the stonemasonry craft. The general problem that arises with this theory is that there is very little evidence proving the existence of these operative lodges. However, followers of this theory use the “evidence” of records of accepted masons to prove and support the link between the stonemasons and Freemasonry. Those who support this indirect link
