"She's a precious baby, one of the cutest. I have had a great pleasure taking care of her, what's her name?" jabbered the maternity nurse, smiling at the sleeping baby girl in the clear box admiringly. The woman she was talking to fiddled with her fingers avoiding eye contact. "Thank you for your help earlier you probably tell it will take time for me to get used to her, thanks again, but please leave," said the new parent, her voice not as sweet as before, the maternity nurse could hear the darker tone in the woman. "That's okay there's no problem you need sleep, I'll go," the nurse said, surprised by the woman's sheer rude bluntness. But I'm only here to calm our families down, they won't' stop bothering me about what her name will be. You got any ideas?" He said in a rush, urgently getting to the reason he was present.
"No Philip I don't, I was in labor a few hours ago I'm sure I have an pretty good excuse not to have a name picked. I want to be alone, pick a pretty name and leave."
Brushing off the glare from Donna, Philip scratched at his neck as he thought up a name, while Donna watched. She scanned him from head to toe. He was wearing a Liverpool jersey, she knew there must have been a match on as that was the only time he wore it. A few long (on Donna's behalf) minutes later, Philip spoke, "You know what, I've always loved the name, Lisa. I want her to be named Lisa, do you mind?” Donna shook her head, a smile on her lips. Philip could be quite polite.
“So that's it named. I'm gonna go now, the boys are playing, can't miss it" Kissing her cheek and his child's softly, Philip hastily exited the room. Leaving Donna staring at the spot he had just been.
'Lisa, that's a beautiful name' she thought sparing a glance at her daughter. 'Unfortunately, she doesn't seem worth it. What a waste of the last 9 months'. The exhausted mother fell asleep
