Matthew Simmons is one of the many students at Angelina College who struggle in finding a wonderful and quiet place to study. Matthew also struggles with completing his homework on time because he lacks the technology at home and he sometimes has trouble understanding certain concepts that his instructors give him. Various students have found college to be a bit challenging; a few of those students are unaware that the Angelina College library can help them with most of their problems. The library has plenty of computers for students to use on research papers, online homework, or ideas for their projects. The computers also give students a chance to increase their knowledge through their research on different topics. The main purpose of the AC library to be equipped with computers is to “support class-related assignments”; therefore, students are only allowed to use computers only for homework, essays, or projects (“Computer Use Policy,” 1). The library’s computers give students free access to the internet and programs such as Microsoft Office as well as many others that will allow them to complete their homework assignments or projects. Jennifer Lacy is a student that goes very often to the library to use a computer to do her online homework and she believes that “the library provides a good amount of computers for anybody who needs them.” Lacy informs that the library also allows students to print out papers with a small fine of ten cents per page for black and white and twenty-five cents for color; this information could also be found on the Angelina College website under Library. If a student were to have trouble with the computers or printing, there is always a librarian available to help the

Why would I want to have a thirty-minute conversation with the now deceased Syracuse Alum and NFL player Jim Brown? Jim Brown is a strong African American male who had lived through different stages of life, someone who acquired great knowledge growing up. Brown was and still is now a hero, someone most athletes look up to, someone who has motivated me after learning about the history of him. He dealt with racism in his lifetime, the transitions from being home with family all his life to the college life. Additionally, Brown was capable of staying on top of his academics, while participating in athletics. Furthermore, I feel as if in a way we are connected, both black males who looked to use football as a way to more opportunities in life,

In the 17, almost 18 years that I’ve been alive, I have been extremely blessed in the fact that I’ve never lost a blood relative that was very close to me. However, I have lost a person that was especially close to my family and I. Terry Wayne Davis was a neighbor of mine all my life. Our families are extremely close to one another.
