The most popular globally corporation in the tourism industry is McDonald 's. Its known as the world’s biggest fast-food chain with over 34,000 restaurants across 119 countries (McDonald 's, n.d.). Serving around 70 million global customers a day (McDonald 's, n.d.). A successful global corporation like McDonald’s has various risks, cultural differences, and complexity that it must face to operation. In western societies, the McDonald we see are completely different in other countries like China, Japan, Indian and Central America. An international company like McDonald’s needs to be adaptive and culturally aware to keep itself prevalent and successful. The goal to keep its meat-free by removing all pork and beef product off the menu in this location and other existing ones in India (Zanoni, 2012). By being able to adapt and operation their market on a global scale has allowed this company to be a successful face many other challenges similar to this one.

2. Choose a type of a tourism product and discuss the different quality characteristics of this product. Group them into service quality dimensions.

Almost all travel destination has multiple industries that provide products like a souvenir for tourists. A Product can be defined as “an offering of a business entity as it is perceived by both present and potential customers. It is a bundle of benefits designed to satisfy the needs and wants and to solve the problems of specified target markets. A product is composed of both tangible and intangible elements” (Grosbois, 2017, Lewis and Chambers, 1989). A product can be tangible or Intangible; for example, a souvenir product like Maple syrup which is no surprise to be one of the top-selling tourist items in Canada. It’s very common for tourist to buy products or services from these businesses. However, for this assignment, I’ll be discussing ‘Wine’ from a tourist winery. For tourists, it’s all about the experiences and quality of the product and service. We will be looking at the tourism product experiences of wine and will group it into the characteristics.
