At a very young age I became invested in books. I can remember countless summers sitting on the hammock outside my home reading until the sun began it's descent. Reading is not only my escape from reality, but it is also my guide to dealing with reality itself. Recently I had the privilege of reading the book Me Before You, and it influenced me to view the world in a different perspective and left a tremendous impact on my life.
The book Me Before You, is about a young cheerful and energetic woman named Lou whose family recently became impoverished. She eventually finds a job looking after a quadriplegic named Will who is repeatedly negative and rude to all that encounter his path. As the book unfolds Lou slowly understands Wills story and becomes aware of the emotions and hardships that the he faces on a daily basis. As a result she comes to understands why he is so bitter towards life, so she tries to change his perspective on life, and they end up falling in love along the way. Then the cycle begins again, and again. However, Me Before You address this issue that we all often face. Reading has impacted my life by having a creative imagination. I read books to see the world and accept opportunities that are given to me. Opening the cover has made me curious what my life will experience and go through in the future. Not only I have gotten smarter to increase my credentials throughout my life, it has made me ambitious to succeed. I feel that education is not just important to read, but to experience how others feel, and how I would express myself to the world. If my father had not pressured me to open that book, I would not be in college today to puruse a career in medicine. Every word I read, is the second I take to get closer achieving my dreams and having the capabilities to change the world by advocating for better
I found that in the book of Night by Marion Wiesel, This book makes you think. The book shows the life of Marion Wiesels life in the holocaust. All throughout the book it almost reteaches true evil and shows us the lost and suffering other had gone through. It shows that we need to listen and not just hear them.
The other Wes Moore definitely is the most powerful, influential, and lifechanging stories that is worth reading. One of the most eye opening experiences of my life occurred in the second grade. I would have never thought that doing one simple assignment in elementary school could change my whole perspective on literacy. My understanding of literacy was sparked when I had read my first real book. I remember sitting down on the vividly colorful carpet day dreaming about playing Mario Cart on my Nintendo 64 while everyone was obediently listening to the teacher read a book out loud. It wasn’t that I did not know how to read or listen, I just didn’t care. Reading to me used to be tedious because I did not understand the purpose of it. I did not grow up with the luxury of my parents reading to me because they weren’t literate in English, so I had to figure out for myself why literacy is vital in everyday life. My ongoing learning experience with literacy can be traced back to one simple visit to library.
As a young child in the years of first to second grade I quickly developed my love for reading. I was never a big fan of the outside world. I thought the world around me was boring and tearing everything/one apart, and thought the adventure inside a book was much more exciting. In my childhood home there was a large bookshelf full of different stories. Most days when getting home I would sit by the shelves in my small pink bean bag chair with numerous children books scattered around me. By endlessly trying and sometimes failing to read my children books such as, the infinite number of Dr. Seuss rhyming stories and Winnie-the-Pooh books I felt comforted by the happy feeling the characters within the stories gave me. The pictures within
One of my all time passions is reading. I credit my love of reading to my dad, who has spent a great portion of his life reading as well. Some of my earliest memories are of my dad reading Harry Potter to me and my siblings, though I was the only child listening. My love of reading has only grown since then. Through reading I have learned about countless worlds and thousands of stories. I have discovered myself in between the pages of many different books, and I have learned more about people and the world arund me. Of all the ways to spend time, reading may be my absolute

I had a very fortuitous encounter. One day I was at the bookstore in the young adult section and a cover picture of a girl in a black dress crying caught my eye. The book was called Fallen by Lauren Kate, a romantic gothic themed story about fallen angels. It was the first novel I was not forced to read that I liked and finished. Ever since then I have been a zealous book reader and collector. I used to read about 100 pages an hour and about 3 or 5 books a week, give or take. On those days, I seldom came out of my room because I was so wrapped up in what I was reading. Books became a way for to connect to the outside world, especially because I was an isolated person, and to explore other places and worlds I'd never been to. It was a truly an amazing moment in my life. Eventually, I began to write stories of my
The concepts in this book are fantastic points to remember throughout everyone’s life and my own. These concepts will always remind me that whenever I do mess up or do something wrong that God will always care for me. Consequently, I am reminded that this story shows how God will always love me no matter what mistakes I make in life. Thus, the whole story reminds me that I am important and loved by God.

The book made me think a lot about the way, people react to other people deaths, and how I reacted, when someone I knew died. I absolutely agree, with the theme in this book, that people should stop avoiding the topic
I picked up one of the books and fell in love with all the things that it could teach me. My mother who was a special education teacher at the time had always pushed me and my siblings to read. She brought home tons of books for us to read. When I told her I found a great book on horses she was so proud, and from that moment on I have always had a love of reading. My love for reading has grown so much that I now read everything in sight, but reading wasn’t enough for me as it turned out. From all the great books I read I started to come up with ideas about new exciting books people could write, that I could write. So during my eight grade year my burning desire to write a book compelled me to finally do so. I used three notebooks and a ton of lead and wrote my story. When I was finished, I typed it up on my computer and printed it out to show everyone I knew. When people saw that I wrote a book they were proud of me and this pride made me want to continue, but sadly school activities took up all my time and I was unable to finish my second book. My story of how I learned how to love to read and write isn’t quite like Sherman Alexie’s superman moment but it is
