My logo reflects the idea of me opening up and becoming more confident throughout these six years at MELS. I wanted to convey the idea that my experience at MELS has influenced me because it allowed me to take risks and experience new things. In my elementary school, I was used to being surrounded by the same race because of the area that I lived in. When I came to MELS, I was exposed to diversity. Therefore, I was put into a new environment where I was forced to interact with others who seemed foreign to me. Not only did I open up by talking to new people, I also participated in activities and initiatives that required me to step out of my comfort zone. When I first came to MELS, I was completely shy and I did not know how to open up. Over
Right off the bat, our logo proudly represents our event, which is a game of Flag Football. We recognize that the students of R.H. King are involved in heavily academic semesters, and this means that they operate on a very tight schedule. In accordance with this, we have designed our logo to be simple, yet attractive and meaningful, in order to provide students with the crucial information of our event and what we represent. This logo ensures that students do not have to provide an in-depth analysis to understand it, which would in fact, deter more students than attract. Regarding the colour choices in this logo, we aimed to keep our colours simple, yet contrasting, in order to capture the attention of individuals who come across our logo.
1. I would have to say my favorite short story is "A Hunger Artist" by R.Crumb. When the story starts off, we look at a character who is fasting as a form of art. Many of the towns people would come out to exhibit him in a cage fasting, and nit pick at him to eat. They would count the days that he last ate and eventually it became a show.
Obesity is a common problem found across all demographics in the U.S., and is increasingly more prevalent amongst college age students. The “Freshman 15” is a real phenomenon that many young people face in their first year of independence from their homes. Students have their first experiences in choosing meals for themselves. One of the main reasons why college students put on this added weight when they leave home is the selection provided by their universities dining center. A quick glance at NDSU’s dining menus allows one to see that the deserts are what headline the menu, with the entrée options listed towards the bottom, as can be seen in FIGURE 1. This menu design influences the choices of the students; it subconsciously encourages
Should restaurants have nutritional information on menus or menu boards? Restaurants should have the labels on their menus or menu board. The reasons why they should have the facts posted is people will know what they are eating, how much calories they are having, and how much fats and carbs the dish have.
Martin Luther King Jr. used logos in a beneficial way at the start of the text. King stated that; I think I should indicate why I am here in Birmingham, since you have been influenced by the view which argues against outsiders coming in. (King 1) He answers this statement by saying; I have the honor of serving as president of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference… So I along with several members of my staff, am here because I was invited here. I am here because I have organizational ties here. (King 2)
The Coyote Cafe has been serving contemporary Southwestern cuisine to Santa Fe’s finest since 1987. It was celebrity chef Mark Miller who opened the restaurant and started the tradition of using native and regional ingredients in the restaurant’s cuisine. All of the local favorites are on the menu here. Dishes like “Hickory Smoked Duck Breast” and their “Legendary Cowboy Cut Prime Rib” makes this eatery a carnivore’s delight. You can also try one of their signature drinks, like a Watermelon Mojito, or a succulent dessert, such as their Caramel Creme Brulee. Its signature dishes and festive atmosphere makes this the perfect cafe for fine-dining and good
In the movie “Dead Poets Society” they showed examples that appeal using logos. To start, they said “words and ideas can change the world”. This is shown when everyone finds out about the Dead Poets Society .The principal and the parents thought it was insane, but the students thought it was so cool because the idea that the members in the Dead Poets Society were so different than everyone else the adults were terrified because they didn’t know what to do.The idea of them being different than the other students was unacceptable to the adults so they changed the rules and the fired Mr.keating so that they couldn’t be different. To conclude, one idea can change a lot for themselves or the people around them.
Imagine walking out towards the White House in Washington D.C. and seeing the American flag burn in flames. Seeing people act irrational. How would you react? In the document “American Flag stands for tolerance” and imagine them burning the flag. Just think how people accepted the fact of the burning the flag, because they didn’t accept it.
The logo that I created represents a makeup brand called Beauty. In small letters at the bottom of the logo, there is a sentence that says, “There is beauty in the mystery.” Beauty is underlined in that sentence to emphasize the brand name. That sentence also represents that beauty can exist in anything. To further illustrate the brand name and slogan, the logo is a rose. A rose is typically thought about as beautiful, but most roses need sun and water to become aesthetically pleasing. The rose in the logo is shown thriving in a dark, mysterious background which is a symbol that not all beautiful things are as they seem. The intended message of the logo is that the vibrant rose in the gloomy backdrop denotes that humans themselves can be beautiful
My logo represents Community Spirit by the sun because the arrow at the top emphasises that the event’s purpose in is aiming high and is reaching for the star – which is an expression - in order to bring about change with the help of the community. I chose the colours yellow and light blue because it is eye-catching and memorable when seen in various places; such as my e-newsletter. It also reflects the theme of the venue: positivity and because it is bright, it brings attention to the positivity regarding the determination of the event to bring about change by raising awareness of the charities in London such as Tiko Foundation, The Drapers’ Charitable Fund, The National Deaf Children’s Society, Mind and Sense. The

While watching Food Inc, I was shocked to see how animals are treated, in order to produce the food the general population eats. Even though, humans have been killing animals for food for many centuries, the way they are treated now is beyond excuse. They should have the ability to enjoy their lives, however, short that might end up being. There is no need to try and rush a product, especially when it affects the quality of the product. As it was mentioned in the film, in the case of the cow, they feed it corn to fatten it quicker. Despite, this helping to make the cows fatter for slaughter, this greatly affects the cow. Not only in the cow’s quality of life, but it also endangers the meat of being contaminated. This contamination is preventable,
Zahav is located in Philadelphia, PA and is an Israeli restaurant. The menu is rich in bold flavors and uses ingredients and recipes influenced not only by Israel but also Eastern Europe, Northern Africa, Persia, and the Eastern Mediterranean. Their drink menu consists of a small cocktail list that showcases lots of aromatic and interesting ingredients like mint, verbena, lemon, pumpernickel, rhubarb, chamomile, turmeric and aleppo. This list fits the theme of the restaurant extremely well by cross-utilizing ingredients that you would normally only think to use with food, not drinks. There is also a small beer list using beers from all over; New York, Israel, Iceland, Japan, and Pennsylvania. The wine list is very extensive and has a pretty
