Monday
Today was a rough start because I had to fight the urge to consume anything else out side of my budge. Today's food consumption cost was approximately $4.32. I drank a lot of water to help with the feeling fullness.
Tuesday
Today I consumed the same amount and selection of food as yesterday because I want my body to be able to adapt to the budget. Today's budget was also approximately $4.32.
Wednesday
Today I switched up the food selection because I was becoming a little bored eating the same thing from the previous two days. Today actually wasn't bad with the amount I consumed I began to start feeling full after each meal. The cost was approximately $4.05.
Thursday
Today's was the same as yesterday, usually eat tuna anyway so this was like an average day for me. The cost was a little less because I eliminated the milk. Today's meal selection was approximately $3.40.

I feel that I can continue this process even after the challenge is up. The meal selection cost was approximately $3.40.
Comparison and Trip to the Grocery store
I was amazed that I could actually complete this challenge with $5 a day to consume three meals. Before doing this challenge my daily consumption cost was approximately $35-$45 per day. I just completed an entire week with $30, which consisted of 15meals. The foods I consumed in my normal diet were not all healthy options and there was a lot of wasted food. Before I even went to the grocery store I used my Walmart app to search food items that I was willing to put in my budget, and then went to the store to get them. That made my store tour a lot easier and

We all need food to survive. Simply, without proper nutrition, our bodies can't survive. Eating right gives our body the fuel and nutrients it needs to accomplish various bodily tasks. For example, your body desires food to create hormones, form bones and normalize the rhythm of your heart. So, each week or month we go food shopping, picking up items that we need to survive during that timeframe. In 2017, the cost of the food for one week for a family of four ranged between $129.00-$252.10, which seems slightly crazy if you ask me. But what sounds even more ridiculous is the cost the labor to get food from the farm to the table. As we learned in this course about clothing the true cost doesn't take into effect the impact of production of the
My data could be more accurate if I had used only one source for food data, and find the exact measurements for what I ate. Also, my record of fruits and vegetables may not have been accurate because I do not usually eat them alone, so they may have been in my food and I did not take account of them. On the third day, I ate Jack in the Box the whole day, which is a rare event to occur in my diet. On the weekends I am less active, but

The basic lunch and combo meal, including a drink, in the business district of San Francisco, is $16, and $8 respectively. Instead, Miami has the basic lunch and combo meal, including drink, in around $8 and $7 consecutively. The two important items in the food basket such as the egg carton and a liter of milk price in San Francisco is around $ 5.04 and $ 1.18. While in Miami the cost is $ 4.35 eggs and a liter of milk $ 1.08 severally. The price difference between these two products in both cities is minimal but representing 2% where San Francisco is still the highest price.
The Nutrisystem diet is a program, which involves pre-planned meals for 28 days. You are only allowed to eat nutrisystem food and healthy snacks. It averages around 3 months to reach your target weight depending on your meal plans and costs from $200-$300 a month. There are a variety of nutrients in the meals so no supplementation is required. The major
After reviewing my personal food and beverage waste over the course of 4 weeks, I am appalled to say the least. Not only did I waste a ton of food, but I also wasted a bunch of money. Therefore, I have set forth a plan to decrease my wastefulness. Starting this week, I plan on meal prepping. This will allow me to decrease the amount of food I buy at the grocery store and in turn decrease food I waste. Also, I’ll be able to make perfect size portions so I won’t be throwing half my plate away. Another strategy I plan to use is to limit the amount of food I’m served when I eat out. For example, I can split a meal with someone, order lighter portion meals, ask to only serve me “X” amount of food, or take what I don’t at home and eat it the next
This insane in-store food challenge has more at stake than just hard-won glory. If you complete the task in the allotted hour, you’ll also come home with a $40 restaurant gift card, a T-shirt, and a spot in Honolulu Burger’s hallowed hall of fame.
In the United States of America, there are citizens that waste food while others go hungry. There are numerous factors that can explain the phenomena of the uniquely opposite problems existing in one country. Ultimately the income inequality between the wasteful and the hungry are quite vast. However, one does not need to be of the top 1% to be wasteful with food, nor does one need to be of government recognized low income to be hungry. A system of planning and priority can make the difference for any income level. The challenge to provide enough groceries on a budget of $50.00 for one week, under the guise of a special diet, utilizes time management and research resources to address the needs of this challenge. For this challenge, the special
Since this is my project I will be putting forth half of the groceries for the food and my parents will be putting down the other half. Granted that, fruits and vegetables are inexpensive, I have estimated that each week will cost an average $25 for her and myself for the food. Henceforth, I have determined these costs by looking through grocery ads for an estimated budget on sales for preferred fruits and vegetable future purchases. In the hope that, she will be more motivated in doing this if I do it with her, we will both not only have each other for the ride but will both benefit from this. Because, the main focus is on my sister’s diet, there are not any extra expenses required to deliver the completed project. Afterward, of completing the first 30 days of the diet, I will be able to have to exact dollar amount used for the project and then can determine if I saved money or need to budget more for next time. As has been noted, following the steps involved in project planning minimizes stress and improves implementation along with communication among individuals and without these critical steps, I would not be able to have a successful
A lot of people think that eating more vegetables and fruits is more expensive than eating processed foods. This can often be true, but I set out to change my eating habits and still stick to my budget. As a college student staying on a budget is key, and I allot myself 25 dollars a week for my food. I wanted to eat less processed foods, so I set out to see if I could get the same amount of food for 25 dollars, but this time more
Usually, I take food four times a day. My week schedule basically stays same. The weekend schedule is little different as I always had late dinner and snacks time is not always on same time. I never had pizza for snacks, which I had on Sunday. I generally eat rice, vegetables, milk, and cereal and snacks fruits and candy bar. Mostly, I make food at home as I am not working on weekdays. I rate my eating habit around seven ‘on a scale of one (really bad) to ten (really great).’
Out of the five options, I picked the last one which limited my expenses on food for up to four dollars per day. The reason I picked this activity was because food expense has been a large portion out of my living expenses and I have a relatively rigid eating habit due to my ethical background. More importantly, I want to challenge myself if I am live under the budget and hence get a direct experience or connection to people who live in such restriction. To start off, I picked a weekend to begin this activity and I walked to the Safeway with eight dollars, the two-day food allowances, in my wallet. I found myself frustrated on what to get in the least amount of money because there were so few available options. What’s more, I had no immediate concern about food as I grown up since I came from a middle-class family. In the end, I picked four boxes of microwave Chinese food which costed me four bucks in total. Then I chose to get a bottle of coke which costed me only one dollar instead a bottle of milk which would triple my expense. I spent my last dollar on two bananas.
