The song name says it all based on what it is written about. This is one of my favorite songs just based off the sound and the artist, Logic. The lyrics don’t have any significant impact on me but what really makes me appreciate this song now is this rapper’s story. In the song “The A Team” Ed Sheeran successfully portrays the harsh realities associated with drug abuse and addiction, through using pathos provoking lyrics, and dramatic imagery. Ed Sheeran is an alternative artist and focuses on real life experience as a means to giving life to his music. He creates songs based on the good bad and ugly of our society and personal existences. In the song “The A Team” he depicts the life of a young woman seemingly under the age of 25, that is addicted to drugs. In the first scene of the music video we see a woman crying over what seems to be the corpse of the addict depicted in the song.
