Jason is a Greek and shares the country's misogynistic views. Medea tries to penetrate the wall that Jason has that separates men from women At the beginning Medea naturally thinks that their relationship would be have equality and is unaware that Jason is a misogynist. He never attended on equal relationships because the fact that he is a Greek man who wants to become king, he never saw Medea as an equal, to him she was a irrelevant. Jason view the situation as he was a great Greek hero and Medea was a lady that was lucky enough that he recognize her, even though she was barbarian. Medea gets entrapped by Jason's stereotypical views of women, and she tries to shape his mind to see otherwise. In the beginning of the of the play Medea talks
