Hillary Clinton’s view of abortion differs immensely from that of Donald Trump. She has said that as president, she’ll stand up for Planned Parenthood and women’s access to critical health services, including safe, legal abortion. She believes that “government has no business in the decisions that women make with their families in accordance with their faith and medical advice” (Lafrance). Clinton advocates for partial birth abortion as well as late term abortion in an instance where the pregnancy is threatening the life of the mother. She would like to
The ongoing dispute of abortion has condemned the idea of women aborting their unborn child. Whether it be lack of support, critical physical or mental health, rape, or not being ready for such responsibility - all women have a reason for having an abortion. Therefore, women should have the free will to do what proves necessary and beneficial to themselves and their pregnancy.
She said that she thinks that women should have the right to an abortion but at some point she believes it is too late to get one. At a certain point she says that the parents should just wait and decide to give the child up for adoption. The only exception she gave for this belief is if the mother would be harmed by the birth or if the child would have serious birth defects that were not known earlier on. Then she said that it would be acceptable to have an abortion later on in the pregnancy. Her beliefs on late abortions come from the thought that some women have premature babies during the same time that women can have an abortion and these babies can live, so if the fetus is viable outside of the womb she considers this more like taking a life rather than just preventing the birth of a child that you cannot adequately
Tomi Lahren, a conservative commentator that, in my opinion, is the epitome of the nightmarish hellhole that is hardcore conservatism, came out as pro-choice about a year ago. On The View she said, “I am someone that’s for limited government. So I can’t sit here and be a hypocrite and say I’m for limited government but I think the government should decide what women should do with their bodies,” “I can sit here and say that as a Republican, and I can say, ‘You know what? I’m for limited government, so stay out of my guns, and you can stay out of my body as well.’ Because of all of this, Lahren was violently attacked on social media and was booted from her show because “incompatible political
Hillary Clinton introduced a revolutionary bill in 2007 that would have positively transformed the lives of low income women by modifying the social security act to include contraceptive coverage. The S. 1075-Unintended Pregnancy Reduction Act of 2007 was a bill sponsored by Hillary Clinton, intended “to amend title XIX of the Social Security Act to expand access to contraceptive services for women and men under the Medicaid program, help low-income women, and couples in preventing unintended pregnancies and reducing abortion”(S.1075 - Unintended Pregnancy Reduction Act of 2007). Unfortunately, despite Clinton 's vigorous attempts, the bill failed to pass and died in committee. Hillary Clinton’s purpose behind this bill was to have Medicaid pay for contraceptives in order to cut down on the amount of abortions among lower income women. Hillary Clinton has publicly established herself as pro-choice, supporting woman’s choice to take control of their bodies. Furthermore Clinton stated she will “defend women’s rights to make their own healthcare decisions” (Lafrance). This bill was much more than just a reproductive rights bill; this bill in a sense unleashed women from the shackles of control, giving them the freedom to have control over their lives.or once they would be in control instead of being controlled.
Pro-choice has been a major topic ever since the women’s movements started in the early 1970’s, a question sometimes asked is that, if part of the population are so pro-life and worry about protecting a fetus, how come when the child is conceived they suddenly bash at you for having that unwanted child anyways, and that is hypocritical. In this essay, details include would be why people choose to be pro-choice, NARAL Pro-Choice America, the battle for reproductive justice for women and their right to make decisions for their body, advocates that are pro-choice, proposals for a pro-choice government, and Tomi Lahren being fired for stating she was pro-choice.

My candidate, Bernie Sanders wants to give immigrants a voice and help them stay in the U.S. Sanders states,” We have eleven million people in this country who are undocumented-who came here to improve their lives, to escape oppression, to flee desperate poverty and violence-and are systematically shut out from that same opportunity.” Bernie Sanders is a son of an immigrant because his father came to this country with not even a penny in his pocket. So he understands why it is important to help those who are illegal here because it’s not fair that they want the same thing as we do, a better life, but can’t have just because they weren’t born here. Nevertheless, Bernie wants what everybody wants, a happy immigrant country.
In the book, Just Like Us by Helen Thorpe, the author follows the lives of 4 young Latinos, two of which were legal, and the other two illegal. The book goes through their everyday issues, and their immigration issues. A girl named Yadira was illegal, and so was her mom. Her mom was using a false identity, and got caught and sent back to Mexico. When she left, Yadira’s younger sister lived with her, alone in an apartment. Helen talks about how this tore the family apart, the mother, Alma, didn’t see her children and couldn’t help them grow. Yadira talks about how she is worried that her sister isn’t getting what she needs, and that she can’t provide for her sister. Bernie wants to solve this problem by making it better for families. “A humane immigration system must, at its core, recognize that family is integral to a worker’s pursuit of happiness and economic productivity.” (Fair and Humane Immigration). Bernie says that in fact, immigrants do support this economy, and the right to work and be with family is a huge part of why immigrants come here. Sanders wants to make more family based visas that last longer. “Prioritizing the unity of families is a time-tested American value.” (Fair and Humane Immigration). As shown in the book, family is an important base to someone’s success, and when a child does not have parents there to help, will end up on a downhill spiral. Bernie’s plan would help families stay together, and ideally continue to help America’s economy
Sanders’ immigration policies. First, he wants to find a way to allow citizenship for illegal immigrants, however, he does not believe the United States should open their borders.
“I think we need to get to the heart of the matter here. So today, I’m filing a bill that will lead to the stopping of abortion in the state of Missouri and I hope you’ll support it.”
“Planned Parenthood will Destroy Humanity!” says Republican Candidate Carly Fiorina after Watching a YouTube Video
However, a famous spokesperson on The Blaze talkshow who is a die-hard conservative didn’t follow the norm and surprised everyone with her argument on The View: “I’m pro choice, and here’s why,” Lahren began. “I am a constitutional, y’know, someone that loves the Constitution. I’m someone that’s for limited government. So I can’t sit here and be a hypocrite and say I’m for limited government but I think the government should decide what women do with their bodies. I can sit here and say that, as a Republican and I can say, you know what, I’m for limited government, so stay out of my guns, and you can stay out of my body as well.” People also support abortions for many more reasons than the one Tomi Lauren described, like rape, endangering the mother’s life, and being underage. Shockingly, many countries who have banned this option tend to have the highest abortion rates because women will have it done nonprofessionally. Brazil, for instance, had 416,000 in 2015. This amount is so much less when the countries have liberal abortion laws, beneficial health care for everyone, available sex education, and affordable
As an independent woman, Nunn believes in the women’s right to choose. Michelle states that abortion is a completely legal process. However, given the moral issues of the procedure, abortion should be used rarely. Given the intimate nature of the
