A thorough knowledge of medical terminology is extremely important in order to code. If you cannot find the term you are looking for, you will need to know where the term is located in the body in order or the exact problem you are looking for to find the term.

Journey’s intake unit completes all initial assessment to assess client for different level of care and accurately assign them to the most appropriate unit. The different level of care ranged from intensive inpatient care unit to medication only. As a practicum student, I worked in the outpatient services unit. I have aspired to be in the medical field for as long as I can remember. At the beginning of every school year the teachers would inquire each student to share what role we wanted to pursue when we grow up, my answer was always the same: a nurse. I am very goal oriented, and I am aware to accomplish anything you must work for it and put in one hundred percent. Mistakes can be critical, but they remain a huge part of the learning experience and advancing. How one handles those mistakes are ultimately what makes or breaks you.

My commitment to volunteerism is important to me. I am not apart of Kiwanis, however, I am still involved throughout school and church. I am in 5 clubs, which include the Associated Student Body (ASB), Med Club, Kind Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), and Chelan Project. Meanwhile at church, I help with worship band, tech support and children's ministries. Volunteerism is the chance to be a leader and show the type of person you are.

Hemorrhoids: The hemorrhoids are caused when the blood doesn't pump through the veins properly. This would not be the case in the humans that stays active because it would constantly pump the veins. But, humans who are inactive, this can lead to their veins storing the blood. After a while the vein would get bigger and bigger and leave a person in pain. This can also lead to the vein getting popped and all the blood draining out. This also tells us that we have not built to just sit for a longer period of

 This paper will aim to apply my insights on motivational theory of individuals and teams by developing two initiatives to be put into action at the New Mexico Veteran Administration Medical Center (VA).  It will discuss how I will implement these initiatives and what changes in an employee mindset may be required to overcome any resistance.  It will discuss the positive outcomes I expect, and how I can avoid or minimize negative factors which may cause stress.

Why medical abbreviations should not be use in the medical field? Abbreviations can be used to save time, space, and have become be available everywhere in prescriptions and medical records. It help save times and space on the paper while writing on document such as prescription or medical record, but it have also causes misinterpreted and involvement in harmful medication errors. Therefore medical abbreviation should not be use when you are trying to communicate with medical information. Giving the wrong prescription to a patients can be harmful and sometimes life threatening. Another reason why medical abbreviation should not be use to communicate is there are frequency a confusion and you can also put your medical practice at risk.

The interest group that I have chose is a group called the American Medical Association. American Medical Association main purpose is have better physicians and health facilities to help citizens achieve better health throughout the nation. The association tries to achieve these goals by creating medical schools to educate better physicians. Lastly the association is working hard to prevent the nations most common diseases, which are type 2 diabetes and heart disease. I have decided to choose this interest group because my goal in life is to become a certified registered nurse anesthetist. When working in a medical office, badly written notes can cause multiple issues. Patients may think that we’re unprofessional and discourteous. A note from medical office must be professional and courteous.

In my paper I will be discussing what medical terminology is, where it came from, and how it is applied to medical assistant careers as well as how it is applied to medical administration careers. I will give examples of the importance of medical terminology and specific examples of where medical careers use medical terminology on a day to day basis. I will also give a brief summary and definition of what medical terminology stands for. After reading my paper you should have a good concept of medical terminology’s importance, use, and why medical terminology is not just applied to medical assisting jobs but also why it is important for medical administration employees to also be familiar and have a good grasp on medical terminology.
