I compared Medstar Good Samarian Hospital, GBMC and Medstar Franklin Square Hospitals (FSH) for my comparison. I chose these three because they are near my home and I would likely be taken to one of them in an emergency. I was most surprised by the percentages under the readmission and death rates tab. This category included patients who were previously admitted to the hospital for treatment of medical problems and later experienced an issue that caused them to be readmitted. For COPD, heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia, and hip/knee surgery, all three of the hospitals met the national average. Under the stroke category, FSH was worse than the national average in the number of deaths that resulted from this complication. Under the patient

The case that I found is about a California medical center who has gone to court because of violating a patient`s privacy by releasing her medical information without her consent. Now they are fighting battle in court whether or not if the hospital officials have the right to share patient`s medical record unknown to the patient`s. But according to the Shasta Regional Medical Center, they said that the patient`s has waived her rights by giving her health information to a news agency, but the patient`s lawyers argue that they stay do not have the right to share the patient`s records (Patient Privacy, HIPAA Violation Case Argued in Calif., 2014). The patient`s was diagnosed with a form of malnutrition, and her medical records were sent to hundreds of hospital staff members.

If I were to ask any athlete what their favorite memory in their lifetime was, I am sure that most of their responses would include the sport that they play. While baseball and golf are both sports that I participated in throughout my whole life, nothing can compare to the brotherhood and bond that football brought to me. I played football as a small child. I enjoyed the short games and practices because I was able to goof off with my friends. I also began playing football during my sophomore year of high school but quit rather quickly. At this point in time baseball still had my heart and triumphed over football in every way possible. It was not until my senior year at Thomasville High School that I fell in love with the game of football. The team began six a.m. practices in early June. We spent over half of day running, lifting weights, sweating, and puking. There were times that I doubted myself and wanted to quit. The only thing that kept me going was the bond I was creating with my teammates. Football instilled hard work, care for my fellow teammates, and determination to finish everything that I had started in me. Football changed my life for the better.
