Year-End Progress Update - Describe the final results of your action plan and how successful you were in meeting your goal and impacting student achievement. In the last part of the year, Kim and I spent our time focusing on different classroom practices between the Virtual and Blended classrooms. In particular, we focused on whether we identified our classrooms as traditional or differentiated. For this we used a Classroom Practices Inventory that I was given in a graduate level course I was taking. Kim and I both separately used the Classroom Practices Inventory to categorize our classroom practices, and then brought them back to compare our findings. Since Kim and I both teach Civics, but in two different settings, it was interesting to see the outcome of this study. For the most part, we had similar ways of running our classrooms and including students in different classroom activities. However, there were 2 areas in particular that were different. First, Kim identified that she tends to group her students based on their learning needs while I tended to group students heterogeneously. This is something we knew would be different due to our learning environments. Kim, who sees her students on a daily basis, is able to identify the learning needs of her students and understand how to meet all their needs in a group environment. In the blended classroom, I am less likely to do this because I have a different student population every month. While I may have a few students
For my educational plans, I have a clear understanding and vision of where I want to go and who I have the desire to be. For now, I would like to graduate with my Associates in Arts degree in Nursing from Indian River State College. I believe Indian River State is an excellent place to begin my journey and recieve my education in order to better prepair myself for what is yet to come. After I recieve my Associates degree from Indian River, I plan to transfer to the University of South Florida in order to extend my education and potentially recieve my Bachelors and Masters of Science degree in Nursing.
Taking what happened in the interactions and decided what category of class management was being utilized out of our possibilities. Also, how Junie B. reacted to each style of teaching whether is was a positive or negative interactions and whether it had a positive or negative reaction correlating with it. After deciding what our topic was going to deal with we decided to pull examples from real life that also illustrated our main ideas, so, the group also pulled examples of classroom management from bulletin boards seen in classrooms at the schools Raymond F Brandes and Creston that included clip system of disciplinary action, expectations of reading comprehension in grade levels, and a smiley to frown face disciplinary system.
Student achievement for children is dependent upon the mental processes that are developed and nurtured through educators, culture, and society. Society plays a major role in cognitive human growth and development. It is important for educators to understand that children need opportunities to develop and expand their cognitive abilities. Vygotsky’s theory about mental tools suggest that every child has the ability to develop skills that will enable them to think in complex ways.

I feel supporting students is a collective effort, therefore, my goals are to research programs outside the STS programs in order to provide students with more resources. I will be working with different programs, such as the Career Center, Graduate Division, Study Abroad, etc. to better cater the PPALS population. I now take the time to "self-care". I feel it is important and beneficial to the population I serve that I am healthy. In addition, I understand that there are different populations with different needs, therefore, I try to advocate and support the specific needs to each population. I do this by learning about resources that could aid their transition into UC Irvine. There is always room for improvement. Therefore, I try to learn
1.Explain what the phrase “taking ownership of your learning” means to you? Taking ownership of your learning means to take responsibility for your own education. You are responsible for ensuring that you understand the information, and you are responsible for clarifying anything you do not understand. It also means that you have to take initiative to study the topic on your own 2.Explain how you set personal educational goals and monitor your own progress.
Every year, 30% of college student dropout within their freshman year. There are many factors that can make a student become at-risk such as. Students from lower socioeconomic status. Students who are not motivated or who lack a sense of personal responsibility. Students whose middle school and high school grades averaged C or lower. I’m writing this paper to propose a plan to help at-risk students succeed in college. My plan is to first to find out whether the students’ problem is external or internal, then meet to with their academic counselor and a personal counselor, have the students talk to their professor, go to tutorial every week.

To help students understand the many roles and facts of Lincoln and Washington, and brainstorm of what they would want to do as president.
My academic goal is that I want to visit the French 247 website 3x a week for at least 10 minutes each to improve my French vocabulary. I will measure my goal weekly and every time I use the website. When I go on the website I will look at the time and use it for at least 10 min. I know my goal will be complete when I look at the time and see 10 minutes have passed. I will also measure my goal when progress report cards come out. If I find my goal easy I will use the website 4x a week. Every Monday Wednesday and Friday I will visit the website for at least 10 minutes each day. If I skip a day I will either make it up on the next day or on a regular day. My goal is achievable because every day would be hard for my schedule so that's why I chose
During my time in this Foundation for student Achievement program.I acquired, learned many things that can help me in my future plan after high school and college. The things that I learned in this program were math skills and English skills from the teachers and some of the students.
It is important to be reasonable and maintain realistic ideals and goals in the classroom. Understanding that you cannot always make all students happy and enjoy learning all the time is crucial because although teachers want students to enjoy learning, it is not realistic for students to always give positive feedback, but that does not mean you are not doing a fantastic job. It is also crucial to organize your life and understand that you may not have time for much else outside of the classroom and lesson planning, especially during the first year. It is important to plan on spending the majority of your time preparing lessons for your classroom. It is also important to understand that although you should always be prepared before class,
The transition to college can be a difficult one. In addition to taking more difficult, more complex classes, many new college students are also experiencing a much greater degree of personal responsibility and independence than anything they have ever previously experienced. For some students, this transition is an easy one, and success in college comes with little or no effort. However, for many students, the transition is very difficult one, and those who are unable to develop greater personal responsibility may find themselves failing or in danger of failing. Therefore, it is important to incorporate effective strategies that highlight personal responsibility and make accountability a routine facet of daily life, in order to be successful as a student. These strategies include: 1) taking personal responsibility for success or failure; 2) choosing appropriate goals; 3) establishing a study-life balance; 4) maintaining personal health; 5) ensuring financial ability to cover school costs; and 6) overcoming obstacles.
What do think when you hear student success? Many people think different things. For example, student success could be a student having a good job in something they specialized on, and are living on their own without anybody's help. There are several different ways student succeed and ways to change schools in order for their students to succeed as well in this article. For instance, Anaheim High Schools can improve student success if we have longer school days, make the student be interested in school and on what they are learning, and having more after school programs that interest kids and will keep their minds off of bad things.
