Meghan Parsons is a sophomore and is on the Colorguard team here at Chino Hills High School. Meghan is a hard worker and has determination to do well in Colorguard. She also has a lot of passion in what she does, and you can see in the Colorguard performances where the girls love what they are doing. The amazing performances they put on do not come so easy. Meghan says that they practice almost every day for at least four hours. Meghan claims that even sometimes after practice or on days the team does not have practice; they also practice at home. They practice here at Chino Hills High in Center Ice, the gym, or the stadium. On days of their performances and competition, they usually have a full on practice before they leave for a competition. Meghan says she got her inspiration to do Colorguard from her older sister Kaitlyn who has now graduated. She saw in her eyes that she loved what she was doing and that gave her drive to want to do the same thing as her. Meghan says she is most happy in Colorguard when she is with all her friends. They are like a second family to her and she loves them. Even though they can get on each other’s nerves, they always still stick together and work as a team. Meghan says she is pretty good at what she does and has improved so much. She is happy about what she is doing, and she claims there is always room for improvement. On Monday May 16th, 5 girls from our very own Chino Hills High School color guard came into the Journalism room to be interviewed about their past season this school year. The five girls that came into our room were Kaitlyn Parsons, Mallory Williams, Ashley Kearns, Nina Penzo, and Hunter Adams. They placed first in the Western Open Class Champions and the Westcoast Winterguard Open Class Champions. They each told us that the World Championships take place in Dayton, Ohio which is considered to be the color guard hub of the United States of America. Mr.Steems is being charged under sections 249(3) and 267 of the Criminal Code, which both carry maximum punishments of ten years. Tiffany Rascon grew up in Gilbert, Arizona and is currently studying at the W.P Carey School of Business for her Economics major. Her decision to come to Arizona State University is credited to the fact that her older sister and brother both came to Arizona State University as well. The following is a case study of Lala Jones, an adolescent child of the age of 3 years old. She attends Early Head Start in Magnolia, Ar. Lala was born in Magnolia, Ar. on December 31, 2011 and is living with her grandparents whom are her legal guardian. Lala is an African American. Currently, Lala is a child of low socioeconomic status. She does have two siblings, a sister of 14 years old and a brother of 10 years old, but are not living with her.
On February 10th, 2017, Samantha Deo, who was a 16-year old undocumented teen, went to No Name Catholic Hospital (NNCH) as she was the victim of a botched home abortion and there are also suspicions she was abused by her father and the custodial parent, Daniel Deo. At NNCH, the treating physician refused to treat her as the hospital’s bylaws prohibit the treatment of abortions, as the Catholic Church runs them. However, NNCH did send her to North Beach Hospital (NBH), where Dr. Owen, an orthopedic physician performed a hysterectomy in order to stop her severe bleeding. When Meghan first started Crew, she was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis, but with medical treatment she was able to successfully continue the sport. She also loves to sing and does so every day at home and with her a cappella group at school. Meghan also has a gift in writing and she does so in her free time.

Amy Watters is a case study that shows a real life example of events that are happening to young people in our country on a daily basis. However, many adults are oblivious to it because the children think it is normal and do not tell anyone that something is not right in their lives. Bullying is causing forcing many young people into the wrong crowd as they sense this is a way of security for them. Also, the touch crows usually welcomes drifters and loners into their group. The lonely bullied child is welcomed by the tough crowd and feels a sense of family and being welcomed, some for the first time.
