There are many characters to blame but there is only one character that has many reasons to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. In Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, Romeo and Juliet kill themselves and the character to blame for their deaths is Mercutio. You could blame many other characters like: Romeo, Friar Lawrence, or even the Clown. I picked Mercutio because he had the most reasons of why you could blame him like: he made Romeo go to the Capulet party and he just had to fight Tybalt. The first reason to blame Mercutio is he made Romeo go to the Capulet party. Romeo said he didn’t want to go because he had a bad dream, but Mercutio says “Which is as thin of substance as air And more inconsistent than the winds”(Act 1 Scene 4 Page
I believe that the most guilty for the death of Romeo and Juliet is Mercutio. Mercutio is the main source of the start of the chain of reactions leading to Romeo and Juliet’s deaths. To start with he is the reason Romeo met Juliet, specifically because if Mercutio had not told him to go to the party then he wouldn't have gone and met Juliet and none of this would have happened in the first place. Romeo even stated that going to the party was a bad idea hence the line “And we mean well in going to this mask, But ’tis no wit to go” but mercutio decided not to listen and they went anyway. Romeo would still instead be sad and depressed over Rosaline, which is a little better than being dead. He is also
Romeo and Juliet are led to suicide by a large number of people. They are a pair of teenagers that are apart of two powerful households that are at conflict with each other. At the beginning of the play Romeo is in love with a fellow noble named Rosaline. Eventually, Rosaline does not love Romeo back and he begins to look for love again at the behest of Mercutio. There he finds Juliet at the party that is being held by Lord Capulet. Over the next four days their "love" escalates and it leads to the death of the couple, along with four others. Who is to blame for the deaths of these young lovers? Everybody in the play contributes to Romeo and Juliet's deaths, but it is mainly because of, in my opinion, Balthasar, Mercutio, and Friar Lawrence.
Many people can be put to blame for these two young people, including their parents, by keeping the feud between the two families going. Mercutio can be blamed, to some degree. He was the one who got Romeo to go to the ball. When Mercutio was killed, Romeo avenged his death, and ended up having to leave Verona instead of staying with Juliet.
In Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, Mercutio’s death, although many people believe Tybalt was the only one to blame, many other people played a part in Mercutio’s death as well as Tybalt including Romeo and the Montagues and Capulets. Firstly, Romeo caused Mercutio’s death because he stepped in front of Mercutio, blocking his view allowing him to be stabbed, also because when Tybalt came to fight Romeo, Romeo refused but provoked the fight between Tybalt and Mercutio. The quote said by Mercutio, in act 3c scene 1 “why the devil came you between us? I was hurt under your arm.”
The three characters that are most at fault for Romeo and Juliet’s death are Friar Lawrence ,Capulet and Romeo. Friar Lawrence is to blame for the death of Romeo and Juliet because the Friar did not fully think out his plan. First of all, the Friar Lawrence is responsible for Romeo and Juliet’s death
In one if William Shakespeare's plays, "Romeo and Juliet", Mercutio, Romeo's best friend, makes a speech, the Queen Mab speech. According to Mercutio, Queen Mab is a tiny, mischievous fairy that rides around in an "empty hazelnut" as a chariot, drawn by a "team of little atomi" (I.IV. 59-69) and makes sleepers dream about good or bad things, for example, love. “Through lovers’ brains, and then they dream of love; On curtsies straight; o’er lawyer’ fingers, who straight dream of fees: o’er ladies’ lips, who straight on kisses dreams…” (I.IV.74-77)
Capulet and Romeo are to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. Capulet was a factor in the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. Capulet was a cruel, unfair, and unjust man who was physically and emotionally abusive to Juliet. Paris wanted to marry Juliet, and all Capulet saw was that
Mercutio Is responsible for everything that as happened so far. It's his fault because of the way he handled the the fight. in many ways he used his own death along with Tybalt's death. He also cuales Romeo's banishment. It's all his fault everything.
There are many different characteristics that can qualify a person as a true friend. Everyone has different ideas about what these characteristics are, but many people would say that a true friend is trustworthy, altruistic, and loving. In his famous play, “Romeo and Juliet,” William Shakespeare conveys the importance of true friendship through the character Mercutio, who has a caring, selfless, and honest personality. Mercutio is a sincere friend because he is selfless and will do almost anything for his friends. When Tybalt visits the Montagues and a fight breaks out, Mercutio tells Tybalt “make haste, lest mine be about your ears ere it be out” (3.1.76-77).
In the play, Romeo and Juliet, there are many people to blame for Romeo and Juliet’s death. This is because Romeo and Juliet both committed suicide. When choosing who to blame, you have to look at who drove them the most. The best choices would be Juliet, Friar Lawrence, and Romeo. These people were picked because they play a big enough role in the deaths because of how much they were involved.
Who is responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet? Throughout the story, there are many people to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. Friar Laurence, Capulets, Montagues, and Peter are the ones that are constantly blamed for the death of Romeo and Juliet. There are so many people to blame for the actions of Romeo and Juliet, but Romeo and Juliet are also responsible for their own actions.
Romeo and Juliet death, The person to blame for Romeo and Juliet death is Friar Lawrence. Friar Laurence is the most blame person their death because He married Romeo and Juliet, Make Juliet fake her death, and Left Juliet in tomb alone.
The Role of Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet In William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, each character plays a specific role in driving the action forward and shaping the play's theme. One secondary character, Mercutio, is essential to the play. Mercutio is the Prince's kinsman, but more importantly, he is Romeo's friend and confidant. Mercutio's concern is always for Romeo and for peace between the two families, the Capulets and the Montagues. Mercutio is the first to see that Romeo is deeply in love.
Even though he was defending Romeos honour, he should have not fought in the streets then he wouldn’t be dead and then Romeo would have not gone after Tybalt and slain him. For Mercutio he was innocent but he still had rage over Tybalt that he couldn’t have let go off: “Good king of cats nothing but one of your nine lives” (Act3, Scene 1, Line 45). He should have left Tybalt alone instead he drew out his sword, after Tybalt drew his to Romeo. Since Mercutio was the princes’ cousin he could have told the Prince and could have got Tybalt banished or worse executed. Another mistake Mercutio made was when he brought Romeo to a Capulets party to look at other women and forget about Rosaline. This plan backfires; Romeo does forget about Rosaline but has fallen in love with the Capulets daughter Juliet. Therefore, even though Mercutio is not irresponsible but showed rash and premature
What person doesn’t have their the strong points and their low points? No one of course, everyone has his or her positive and negative traits. In William Shakespeare’s tragic Romeo and Juliet(1594-1596), he tries to stay true to reality and portrays his characters that have their own set of blemishes and imperfections. Consequently, Romeo, one of the most famous literary characters of all time, stays true to this narrative. One major negative trait he exhibits throughout the play is too much passion, and one major positive trait he depicts is his loyalty to his one true love, Juliet Capulet and Mercutio, his best friend.
