Although he was often homesick in his new country, Messi moved quickly through the junior system ranks, and by the age of 16, he had made his first appearance for Barcelona. Messi put himself in the record books on May 1, 2005, as the youngest player to ever score a goal for the franchise. Messi eventually grew to 5 feet and 7 inches, and with his short stature, speed and relentless attacking style, he drew comparisons to another famous Argentinean footballer: Diego Maradona. Messi steered Barcelona to a wealth of success, most notably in 2009, when the left-footer 's team captured the Champions League, La Liga, and Spanish Super Cup titles. Even the great Maradona gushed about his fellow countryman. "I see him as very similar to me," the retired player told the BBC. "He 's a leader and is offering lessons in beautiful football. He has something different to any other player in the world."

Born on October 25, 1881. From the beginning Picasso’s parents knew that he was set out for great things. His father Don Jose was an art teacher and artist, he had taught Pablo everything he had known, by the age of 13 Pablo’s skill level had surpassed his father’s. Pablo was relatively poor student, and also a trouble maker. He had lost all desire to do any school work, all he want to do was make art.
To begin with, Picasso had a normal childhood. He was born October 25th 1881 his parents both had a large influence on him they taught him how to draw and paint. His father was an art teacher and mother was a painter. He lived in Spain and went to art schools in Barcelona. Picasso was a skilled painter even from a young age. Messi has contributed a lot of things to his club over the years. Many of the accomplishments have been noteworthy. Some of them have even been record breaking. One of the contribution on the list has hindered the club. It involves his presence on the field and affects the clubs identity.
Lionel was born with in his blood. Messi would hang around with his older brothers and their friends while they played soccer. He was never intimidated by them and found that he enjoyed playing soccer, and he was very good at it. I found it so courageous that he wanted to continue on with soccer to show no matter what height he was he would not be intimidated by the other boys that were taller than him on the field. But above all thing Messi played for fun which seems like the most logical choice at his young age. As Jorge Messi said in an interview with Bruno Pisano “We had never really thought about it until he turned 11 years old” what his father had meant when he said this they were talking about how
He started playing at a young age.Since Messi is the best player of course he is gonna have a rival. His rival in soccer is Ronaldo.
To play soccer, both of these players had to be very athletically talented, which they have definitely shown. Quickly, both players have gone up to become very well-known in the game (4). “Messi has been playing soccer since a very young age”(Biography) . At the age of eleven Messi was diagnosed with growth hormone deficiency. This disease was something that stunted growth. The treatments for this were extremely expensive . This treatment was something his family could not afford. “The local soccer club , River plate wanted to sign him in but did not want to pay for his medications”. Later Messi was given a trial with Barcelona . The coach Carles Rexach was extremely impressed with Messi’s skills and gave messi a contract for the
e famous town of Argentina, Rosario, lives a little boy with big dreams. In a town where some of the greatest soccer players source from, there has to be something that they have as an advantage. Whether it’s the extreme levels of dedication parents give their children with sports at an early age or the true passion of the game, there’s something that sets these kids apart. One player that some would argue has the most heart and most dedication now controls the modern soccer game, some would even say he is the best. His name is Lionel Messi, and he grew up here, playing soccer every day in these streets, unsatisfied until he was the best. His extreme heart, passion, and drive encourages him. Growing up being diagnosed with a disorder and being faced with the challenges of poverty, Messi soon discovered his life didn’t ride on luck. He would have to work with cards he was dealt and roll with the punches.
