It is used to stimulate the central nervous system, like caffeine (The PubChem Project (NCBI), n.d.). It mimics a different drug, however, called Dexamfetamine, which is used for treating ADHD (attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder) (The PubChem Project (NCBI), n.d.). It is made using pseudoephedrine, which is a popular drug used to treat nasal congestion (The PubChem Project (NCBI), n.d.). Generally people smoke the drug, and it is known this way as “crank, crystal, crystal meth, ice, and speed” (The PubChem Project (NCBI), n.d.).
