In response to this statement, when choosing the direction of analysis, type of questions to be answered, and what the researcher hopes to accomplish is known as research strategy. The PVR Research company located in Metro Atlanta uses pre-qualification surveys to solicited people for their research. The company gives the date and let the participants know how long it will take and what the compensation will be, for example, study will last 2.5 hours and pays a $150.-225 Visa debit card for the individual's time. However, the participants must answer certain question that the company is looking for before he/she is accepted into the
Steve Kaffen stated that he is a resident of D.C. living in the Dupont Circle area. He stated that Metro has a credibility problem. The outreach from the Board and the GM are extremely important to addressing this issue. To compensate for the possible change in service hours on the Metrorail, Mr. Kaffen suggest that Metro run a heavy bus system throughout major section of each jurisdiction in order to give customers ample transportation. Mr. Evans indicated that Metro has been working on such a proposal to run Metrobus everywhere there is a rail line. This will ensure that all customers are served.
Research questions are formulated in a study to inquire about variables, both independent and dependent variables, and the relationship between them. Research questions are categorized into two, that is, qualitative and quantitative research questions. Qualitative questions are used in qualitative research like case studies, surveys and action research where the approach is non-numerical and analyses special phenomena that occur in nature. Quantitative research on the other hand is more of a systematic approach with measurable numerical quantities that go through analysis to prove a hypothesis. Finally, the research hypothesis is either approved or disapproved with regards to the results of the analysis (Laureate Online Education B.V.
There is a particular way in which all research works are carried out. It starts with an issue. It is usually in the form of having little knowledge about the particular subject, knowledge gap or it is some kind of a puzzle. The next step once the identification of the problem is made, is to go through all existing relevant studies in an organized manner to identify potential visions or gaps. The third step is to narrow down the problem to make the hypothesis. When the research is at its end, it should either approve or dismiss the hypothesis. After the third step, the researchers must design the type of research they want to do. Then they must choose a method to successfully conduct the research.
Research questions are the basic building blocks of a research project. Developing good research questions is one of the first steps in the research process (Taylor, 1999). When developed correctly using precise language and when it is properly investigated beforehand, research questions should guide the research project and assist in the topic’s investigation (Taylor, 1999). When approaching a new Research project one must ask, “what information do I need to know and what kind of questions can I ask to obtain the information I’m looking for?” In research there is either a broad topic or a narrowed down topic. This is where research questions come into play. Creating a good research question can eliminate any unnecessary information.
As a startup business or company, there are many benefits to research in which can dramatically aid the decision-making process in all aspects. Therefore, to obtain a better understanding, our first step consisted of examining our target market, the student body at the University of South Florida. With our combined efforts, we have conducted the proper research and comprised the following report to explain our findings.
. The substantial population growth and urban sprawl of the Central Texas area have amplified the need for reliable transportation. Although nearly everyone would appreciate improvements to public transportation, it is essential for lower-income people who can’t afford cars. Relative to the area’s size, public transportation is considerably lacking, especially routes traveling east-west through Austin and even more so in the suburban counties. Currently, the Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Capital Metro) serves the city of Austin and very few surrounding suburbs in Travis and Williamson Counties. Capital Metro provides 50 metro bus routes, 2 MetroRapid route, 8 express routes, and 19 shuttle routes for University of Texas students and has 3,000 bus stops. Capital Metro fares range from $1.25 locally to $3.50 regionally per trip. In 2010, Capital Metro began providing commuter rail service to connect downtown Austin with the northern suburb of Leander in Williamson County. The line operates on 32 miles of track and has 9 stations. Despite this existing public transportation infrastructure, the rapid population growth, much occurring away from the city center, has made it difficult for public transportation services and regional roadways to keep up with anticipated needs of the community, limiting residents’ convenient and timely access to employment
Many different factors have to be decided in order to perform research on a subject. Every researcher must first decide upon a subject to conduct the research. Once a subject has been decided then the purpose for the study needs to be announced. The design of research should be considered, how to obtain participates, what tools to use, and how to manage the results are things that also have to be taken into consideration before research is to begin.
This chapter will present the research design, ethical approval processes, the characteristics of the participants, and their recruitment. It will detail the research procedure, in order to promote replicability
| Survey research applies to society when we need to gather data or information concerning an event or some sort. For example, Survey research can be used at the university to understand how the students feel and how they are coping with the university’s rule.
The research process is a systematic approach that is carried out with a particular aim or purpose. However, in order to come up to a conclusion based on the objective of the research, the researchers collect a multitude of information that can be analyzed. This is a normal course of action that is applied to all research and evaluation projects, despite of the fact that research method involves a scientific method of inquiry or an evaluation based research or action research.
To discover if it is beneficial for companies to migrate from their current technologies to Metro Ethernet. People and companies are using internet and it has played a major role in connecting companies, deadlines must be met and this is where the speed of internet plays a major role. Can migrating to Metro Ethernet solve the problem of high speed connectivity?.
For this assignment I decided to email some questions a Public Relation Department of LA Metro Rail and I failed. They sent me an official response, which says that they are not allowed to answer questions directly for some reasons. At this point, I decided to email the Mayor of Los Angeles, who is the chair of the Board of Directors for the Metro system, and I finally got some answers through his official website. Although he did not want to disclose full information on the problems faced by the system, I was able to grasp little knowledge that could lead to a conclusion. The responses received from the Mayor indicated the problems that are faced in the system, which calls for possible solutions. Besides, he disclosed the importance of the
Technology, customers tastes and preferences play a vital role in today’s generation. Research Methodology is a set of various methods to be followed to find out various information regarding market strata of different products. Research Methodology is required in every industry for acquiring knowledge of their products.
