Steve Kaffen stated that he is a resident of D.C. living in the Dupont Circle area. He stated that Metro has a credibility problem. To compensate for the possible change in service hours on the Metrorail, Mr. Kaffen suggest that Metro run a heavy bus system throughout major section of each jurisdiction in order to give customers ample transportation. Mr. Evans indicated that Metro has been working on such a proposal to run Metrobus everywhere there is a rail line. This will ensure that all customers are served.

Research questions are formulated in a study to inquire about variables, both independent and dependent variables, and the relationship between them. Research questions are categorized into two, that is, qualitative and quantitative research questions. Qualitative questions are used in qualitative research like case studies, surveys and action research where the approach is non-numerical and analyses special phenomena that occur in nature. There is a particular way in which all research works are carried out. It starts with an issue. It is usually in the form of having little knowledge about the particular subject, knowledge gap or it is some kind of a puzzle. The next step once the identification of the problem is made, is to go through all existing relevant studies in an organized manner to identify potential visions or gaps. The third step is to narrow down the problem to make the hypothesis. When the research is at its end, it should either approve or dismiss the hypothesis. After the third step, the researchers must design the type of research they want to do. Then they must choose a method to successfully conduct the research.

When developed correctly using precise language and when it is properly investigated beforehand, research questions should guide the research project and assist in the topic’s investigation (Taylor, 1999). When approaching a new Research project one must ask, “what information do I need to know and what kind of questions can I ask to obtain the information I’m looking for?” In research there is either a broad topic or a narrowed down topic. This is where research questions come into play. Creating a good research question can eliminate any unnecessary information.

Capital Metro provides 50 metro bus routes, 2 MetroRapid route, 8 express routes, and 19 shuttle routes for University of Texas students and has 3,000 bus stops. Capital Metro fares range from $1.25 locally to $3.50 regionally per trip. In 2010, Capital Metro began providing commuter rail service to connect downtown Austin with the northern suburb of Leander in Williamson County. The line operates on 32 miles of track and has 9 stations. Despite this existing public transportation infrastructure, the rapid population growth, much occurring away from the city center, has made it difficult for public transportation services and regional roadways to keep up with anticipated needs of the community, limiting residents’ convenient and timely access to employment
