The collaborative efforts of Group 3, continued during Week 3. The primary tasks that were assigned including the Feeding the Hog activity, and the Phase 1 - Transformational Collaboration Proposal Plan. Kristian Stremberg served as the group leader for the week. In this role, Kristian provided a draft template for each assignment using Google Docs, allowing the group to examine each element of the assignment and collaborate effectively toward the final draft of each assignment. Early on the group decided that the leader for the week would create a draft template of the week’s assignment using Google Docs as was executed by Kristian. This allowed each member of the group to see the framework and direction of the assignment as a whole, rather than merely breaking it up into sections and then assembling it into a final form moment …show more content…
It was clear that our agreed upon norms placed a significant level of responsibility on the group leader. In this instance, Kristian served the role well. Due to the variance in time zones the use of Google Docs as a collaborative effort, was helpful to ensuring that each member was able to participate effectively. One member of our group, had difficulty accessing the internet on a regular basis and email the group portions of the assignment for the leader to incorporate into the draft. While this allowed the individual to contribute, it placed an additional burden on the leader to incorporate the suggestions into the final draft of the assignment. Additionally, during one assignment, the leader formatted the document early in the day and email it out prior to allowing everyone to contribute. This created confusion regarding whether the Google Doc or the emailed draft was the current working copy. Through email communication, this small obstacle was overcome and the group was successful over
The show that I used for this assignment was Friends. I felt that Joey played the role of the leader. When Ross told everyone he was moving, Joey was the first person to speak up about how he felt. He told the others they needed to do something to keep Ross from moving. He also went to Ross personally, and tried to convince him from following through with the move. I felt that Phoebe was the opinion giver. She kept informing the group that it was Ross' life and they should respect his decision. Whenever Joey would try to tell Ross how he felt, Phoebe would intervene to distract him. She also agreed when Ross got upset with the group. She told everyone it wasn't right to interfere with his life. With Joey taking the leader role, he helped the
Would it be possible for team 4 to go either 1st or 2nd for the presentation next week as I work nights and will need to leave for work at 10:30 (9:30 eastern) and hoping not to miss any part of out teams presentation.
In the beginning, Jake at first is nervous and frustrated that Amy is late. Which is a lack of commitment from Amy's side, and Jake is just feeling the effects of it. When Amy does get there, Jake starts to ask questions and is very aggressive about it; all the while he does not give her a chance to speak. This is another type of transgression, Jake is displaying problematic emotions while he is addressing Amy. Also while Jake is questioning Amy, she is acting suspiciously, and either trying to avoid the question or delaying the answer. Which does not help and actually makes the situation worse, between the two. Throughout the session they are both distant, no touching whatsoever and avoiding eye contact. Things do get pretty heated between the two, and Jake even pressured the counselor into revealing what his thoughts are; in which was unsatisfying to both of them.
Week 12 consisted of us having completed an individual draft of Part’s 1 and 2 to look at. These drafts were placed into our Google drive, making it easier to look at them as a whole for our group. We then met up that Friday to discuss and create a second draft with our collaborated and agreed upon works. Due to Amy not being here for this one, she made sure her documents were there ahead of schedule to use. I also had gotten several different resources to look at to aid us in creating our strategic plan. We chose our recommended resources.
This week I have talked to three different people who enjoyed hearing about our projects. These people are my wife, Mariko Konno, who loves running marathons, Yoko Hosokawa who is my sister and is planning to run in the Honolulu Marathon, Patrick Cervantes who is a barber at College of Hair Design in Lincoln. Here are the following details:
I am a lifelong musician and entrepreneur. I am 52 years young and have been a vocalist since I can remember, a keyboardist for over 25 years, and entrepreneur for just as long. I have also always been someone’s secretary, administrative assistant, bookkeeper, office manager, booking agent, and spouse and mother for about 24 years of that journey. Growing up in southern California, I have performed most styles of music and sung/played in a variety of bands and ensembles since 1980. I have covered female vocalists from the 30s and 40s through current artists. I moved from southern California to rural western Colorado in 1993 and things are unique here. In 2009, I wrote and co-produced my CD, Mosaic, with musicians in Nashville with the help of Lorna
However, for this schoolyear, I was put in a group with three other students, Emma, Mia, and Lucy, who do not share my same beliefs and experiences. Emma is involved in a variety of activities including numerous AP classes. As a result, she has trouble with her time commitment and I knew from the start, working with her might be a challenge; however, I hoped for the best since she usually tries to commit to her schoolwork. Mia is involved in with the spirit team, and she dedicates a lot of her time to both the team and to her job. Despite her busy schedule, she is in the top five percent of the class and hopes that this class with be an easy GPA boost. Lucy is on the volleyball team, and even though it is time consuming she prioritizes school before her other activities. Both Lucy and I are in the class because of our interest in science and the possibility for a future career. School has always been my priority and my
The human resources department needs to revisit some of their decisions to strength their portion of the structure and better the company for the future. The high turnover rate has caused lack of employee motivation, low morale and with pay levels below their competitors’standards; there is lack of structure in the performance review process within the entire company. These issues can be corrected by creating a coaching, feedback process, and
17. Environments exist when decision makers lack complete certainty regarding the outcomes of various courses of action, but they are aware of the probabilities associated with their occurrence
Amanda and Erica’s grades may differ for a variety of reasons. Studies show that the more academic activities a parent is involved in is significantly associated with their child having higher literacy achievement, lower rates of grade retention, and fewer years needing special education (Miedel & Reynolds, 2000). Amanda’s father’s income, education, and occupation also all correlate with her literacy abilities (Buckingham, Wheldall, & Beaman-Wheldall, 2013). Parental education has the strongest influence of the three (Buckingham, Wheldall, & Beaman-Wheldall, 2013).
Day 1: Do you believe that it is genetics, environment or both that determine behavior? I believe that it is a mixture of both, but primarily it is your environment that helps determine what type of person you are. I think everyone can be taught to behave in a certain way, I know this for a fact since my five children all have different personalities, but are some of the most well-behaved kids you can meet. Additionally, being in the military for twelve years, I met people from all over the United States, and it is astonishing how depending on where you were raised can change your opinions on many different topics. I also say it is something you are born with because I can see more traits of me in one kid over the other.
The team leader or other designated individual should upload the final group document to the ASSIGNMENTS tool located in the course website. In addition, EACH MEMBER OF THE GROUP SHOULD SUBMIT THEIR PORTION OF THE PAPER TO ME AS AN ATTACHMENT TO MY COURSE EMAIL. THIS IS MANDATORY. Non-compliance will result in deduction of points from final project
For the Model of Human Occupation project, everyone in my group contributed differently. The biggest contribution I participated in was getting everyone together, in person, to work on the project. If I did not ask or gather people together, the group did not meet or make an initiative to get together. For the draft essay, I wrote out and described all of the search methods, audiovisuals, agenda and time sequence, and responsibilities, while Cassidy and Lily focused on the description, and search methods. I also found the audiovisual YouTube video to show during the presentation, created the Jeopardy game and ensured that it was functioning correctly, set up and organized the PowerPoint while including information on each slide, bought all
During our summer experience, there was some discontent in my group. When relationships did not go well, focusing on the paper and presentation was the only thing that got me through the group work. In the end, we made it, but I would have much preferred a strong emphasis on both tasks and relationships as reflected in this questionnaire.
There were many positives and negatives while working in a group but in the end the issues had to be put aside in order to finish the program. Each health educator contributed an adequate amount of work towards implementing the program. Every interim report was distributed in parts to each of the health educators but worked on as a group. At certain times, health educators became irritable with each other and wanted to separate because we felt like the group was not working well together. Part of the issue was procrastination because of busy schedules and the numerous amount of hours needed to be designated for this assignment. In some areas of the project, certain health educators contributed more because of the specific skills they acquired in previous classes.
