Social justice is the equitable distribution of health care in a societal responsibility. This can be best achieved by letting a central agency, generally the government, take over the production and distribution functions.

Hence, they began the tradition of providing high quality healthcare to their neighbors through the creation of Medical Center Hospital (MCH). To serve the emerging health needs of the Permian Basin, MCH has grown from one hospital into a family of advance health care centers. This new MCHS enables us to provide a higher level of comprehensive care and more access points for your health care needs. Through the years, this once small 85 bed community hospital has grown to become a regional medical center and a teaching hospital. MCHS is proud of the patient and family centered care extended to all age groups with each encounter. When you come to MCHS, whether as a patient or a visitor, the employees will provide a friendly, safe, and caring service in an environment that is supported by our vision to be recognized as the premier health system in the Permian Basin. The team of caregivers is comprised of people that are known in the community friends, family, and neighbors. They are people who care that you can trust to meet your healthcare needs. MCHS respects diversity and holds each patient’s expectance unique at the forefront of clinical care decisions.

Mountain States Healthcare (MSH) is a regional systems of healthcare located in several large metropolitan areas of Colorado, Idaho, Utah and Wyoming. They were a single hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah who was quite successful and profitable due to the business expertise and experience of its officers. They began purchasing other hospitals that were not as profitable and eventually changed their name to Utah Health Group (UHG). The facilities that they purchased were still allowed to operate as independent entities except that there name was to include United Health Group. UHG just instilled its own successful management style in the newly purchased facilities.

H.M. was a man who had no memory after having a surgery that was supposed to help reduce his seizures. At the age of seven, he was knocked down by a bicycle. Later on at age ten, began to have minor seizures. As he got older, the seizures progressed, and by age 16, they became major. He went on trying to live a normal life and work until age 27. His seizures at this point were too severe, and could not be controlled by even the highest doses of anticonvulsant drugs. Then, a Dr. by the name of William Scoville offered H.M. an experimental procedure, this would be the procedure that would make him wake up without being able to remember any new information from that point on. For the rest of his life, he participated in experimental studies about memory, and other brain diseases.

The world of technology is revolving at a faster pace than ever before and has therefore brought the greatest challenges to businesses and individuals alike. Spartan Home Health Center (SHHC) is one of the many constituents that is affected by these rapid changes and seeks to gain more evidence to improve their overall business processes. A risk assessment is made to evaluate whether SHHC should continue the implementation of “Bring Your Own Device” (BYOD) policy. A qualitative analysis predicts that the pros outweigh the cons for this case which in part is complemented by a quantitative analysis that determines whether or not it would be profitable. After much thought and candor it has been decided that for its purposes, SHHC should indeed continue its BYOD policy.
In 1986, IHC begin to implement a new strategy for managing healthcare. This new clinical integration focused on improving patient care while saving money. This idea was implemented by changing the organizational structure of certain clinics and providing them with helpful tools. The Traditional administrative management was upgraded to a system that involved the storage of all patients’ data to create helpful tools. The tools that were implemented created protocols that helped medical providers determine the best method of intervention while increasing efficiency.
Memorial Healthcare at this present time has a clock in system located on the walls. On this system one has to swipe their employee badge to clock in and out. This application we are building will be called TAS (Time and Attendance Schedule); it’s an Electronic Employee Record. It will track the time one works as well as paid leave and other paid time off. The system then calculates the pay, including overtime, shift differential, and holiday pay.
