When I first heard about "impact 360" about a year ago, I will admit that I was fairly opposed to the entire idea of a "Gap Year". From what I had seen, it seemed like an idea someone had come up with, in order to delay the start of the responsibilities of college and life. I ignored the many attempts from my mother and her friend Renee Hernandez, (who is involved with the program), to get me to just look into what it was all about. I wrongly perceived that every gap year program was essentially the same. And from the program's I had looked at they all seemed to be about taking a year off of life's responsibilities, and relaxing with other people your age. AIU online offers a lot of resources, but the one I utilized the most so far is Office 365. I like the fact that I have everything all on one page and it makes it easy for me to type papers, take notes, and even do projects in the future. My experience with AIU so far, I feel an incredible sense of support. Having such an amazing support group along with my desire to further my career excites me on my journey to a higher education. I’m all about teamwork, asking for help when I need it, and helping others. I hope to work with you all as a team and learn not only from our instructor and the school, but also from one another.
